    Possible Duplicate: iPad Simulator (install ipa on pc) My platforms are Linux and Windows. Now I have a software whose extension is .ipa I am looking for a way to run this file either on Windows or on Linux. There exists Wine which can run .exe files on Linux, similarly is there something which can run .ipa either on linux or windows?? I am also comfortable with getting into virtualization and emulation to get the software work!

  • How to run sunspots?

    I am trying to use SUN Spots with Ubuntu, but for some reason the SUN Spot Manager app is not seeing connected spot on USB port. Possibility that cdc_acm driver is not installed has been mentioned elsewhere, but I am complete beginner when it comes to Ubuntu, so I don't know where to find it or how to install it. Any input on this matter would be more than welcome. Addition: ls /dev/tty* returned the list that contains /dev/ttyACM0, but SUN spot is still not recognizing it.

    I have a bash script where I need to run an init utility within a directory with a configuration file defined. I don't think it's possible to explicitly tell the utility to run the file as an argument, so what I need to do is go to the directory with the config file, and then run the command. I have some logic in place, but its not working -- the utility never runs. Is there any way I can tell the script to go to this directory, and then run the script? cd /var/www/testing-dev.example.co eval "standardprofile"

    How can I run multiple copies of the same app in Debug with Visual Studio? For instance, how do I run app.exe /option1 and app.exe /option2 and still debug both? I know I can run them manually and then attach, but I want an automated solution. I have tried writing a small console app just to run 2 processes, but obviously they are not being run under debugger. Any ideas?

    Hello, I have a test suite to perform smoke tests. I have all my script stored in various classes but when I try and run the test suite I can't seem to get it working if it is in a class. I was hoping to call the tests through the class I have like any other function. This need's to be called from a class as the script that I'm calling it from is Object Oriented. If anyone can get the code to be run using Call Tests I would appreciate it alot. Thanks for any help in advance.

    Given a "run configuration" in Eclipse, I want to print out the associated shell command that would be used to run it. For example: Right now, in Eclipse, if I click "play" it will run: mvn assembly:directory -Dmaven.test.skip=true I don't see that command, I just know that's what the IDE must run, at some point. However, some of the other run configurations are far more complex with long classpaths and virtual machine options and, frankly, sometimes I have no idea what the equivalent shell command would be (particularly when it comes to Flex). There must be some way to access the shell command that would be associated with a "Run Configuration" in Eclipse/Flex Builder. This information must be available, which leads me to believe someone has written a plugin to display it. Or maybe there's already an option built into Eclipse for accessing this. So is there a way to, essentially, convert an Eclipse run configuration into a shell command? (for context only: I'm asking because I'm writing a bash script that automates everything I do, during development--from populating the Database all the way to opening Firefox and clearing the cache before running the web app. So every command I run from the IDE needs to exist in the script. Some are tricky to figure out.)

  • Cleanest way to run/debug python programs in windows

    Python for Windows by default comes with IDLE, which is the barest-bones IDE I've ever encountered. For editing files, I'll stick to emacs, thank you very much. However, I want to run programs in some other shell than the crappy windows command prompt, which can't be widened to more than 80 characters. IDLE lets me run programs in it if I open the file, then hit F5 (to go Run- Run Module). I would rather like to just "run" the command, rather than going through the rigmarole of closing the emacs file, loading the IDLE file, etc. A scan of google and the IDLE docs doesn't seem to give much help about using IDLE's shell but not it's IDE. Any advice from the stack overflow guys? Ideally I'd either like advice on running programs using IDLE's shell advice on other ways to run python programs in windows outside of IDLE or "cmd".   • "Attach to process" missing from Delphi 7's Run menu

    I have to resurrect an ancient Delphi 7 application, which means I have to use the D7 IDE. Upgrading the project to a more recent version of Delphi unfortunately isn't an option. My new D7 installation's Run menu is missing Attach to Process. Aside from the missing menu item, the debugger works fine (I can debug normal Delphi executables started with Run). I know D7 supported this feature (it's in the help file), so does anyone have any idea what I've missed? The installation is Delphi 7 Enterprise (Version 7.0 Build 4.453).   • sbt: "test" works "test:run" not

    I try to establish a build pipeline on Jenkins with a Play(2.0.2) project. As I want to just build the sources once and use the classes for downstream builds, I now have created a "compile"-job, that runs "sbt test:compile". That works so far. The next job should then just run the compiled tests. If I use "sbt test" it works as expected, but compiles the sources again. But if I try to run "sbt test:run" it says: [info] Loading project definition from ~/myproject/project [info] Set current project to myproject (in build file: ~/myproject/) java.lang.RuntimeException: No main class detected. at scala.sys.package$.error(package.scala:27) [error] {file:~/myproject/test:run: No main class detected. The same happens locally. I can run "sbt test" but not "sbt test:run". Same error. Is there someone who can point me to the right direction?

GUI wizard doesn't give you all possible options for configuration. I've broken them down into separate lines to make it easier to read. Any ideas what should I do to make it work?

    Using CentOs, I want to run a script as user 'training' as a system service. I use daemontools to monitor the process, which needs a launcher script that is run as root and has no tty standard in. Below I give my four different attempts which all fail. : #!/bin/bash exec >> /var/log/training_service.log 2>&1 setuidgid training training_command This last line is not good enough since for training_command, we need environment for trqaining user to be set. : su - training -c 'training_command' This looks like it (http://serverfault.com/questions/44400/run-a-shell-script-as-a-different-user) but gives 'standard in must be tty' as su making sure tty is present to potentially accept password. I know I could make this disappear by modifying /etc/sudoers (a la http://superuser.com/questions/119376/bash-su-script-giving-an-error-standard-in-must-be-a-tty) but i am reluctant and unsure of consequences. : runuser - training -c 'training_command' This one gives runuser: cannot set groups: Connection refused. I found no sense or resolution to this error. : ssh -p100 training@localhost 'source $HOME/.bashrc; training_command' This one is more of a joke to show desparation. Even this one fails with Host key verification failed. (the host key IS in known_hosts, etc). Note: all of 2,3,4 work as they should if I run the wrapper script from a root shell. problems only occur if the system service monitor (daemontools) launches it (no tty terminal I guess). I am stuck. Is this something so hard to achieve? I appreciate all insight and guidance to best practice. I'm running: Windows 7 x64 on the machine where Sharepoint Foundation 2010 should be installed and also has preinstalled SQL Server 2008 R2 database Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core is my domain controller that just serves domain features and nothing else I've installed Sharepoint according to MS guides http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee554869%28office.14%29.aspx installing all additional patches that are related to my configuration. Any ideas what should I do to make it work?

  • "Options ExecCGI is off in this directory" When try to run Ruby code using mod_ruby

    I am on Ubuntu, Apache 2.2 Installed the fcgi via apt-get then removed it via apt-get remove. Installed mod-ruby configuration I added to Apache: LoadModule ruby_module /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_ruby.so RubyRequire apache/ruby-run <Directory /var/www> Options +ExecCGI </Directory> <Files *.rb> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance </Files> <Files *.rbx> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance </Files> I have a file in the www direcoty with puts 'baba' I have other files in that directory, all accessible via Apache. Test file has been chmod 777 In the browser I get 403. In Apache error log I get: [error] access to /var/www/t.rb failed for (null), reason: Options ExecCGI is off in this directory If I move this to a sub folder rubytest and modify the relevant config to be: <Directory /var/www/rubytest> Options +ExecCGI </Directory> and making sure the directory has 755 permissions on it, it just try to download the file, as if it does not recognize the postfix *.rb any more If I give directory and files 777 it fails: usr/lib/ruby/1.8/apache/ruby-run.rb:53: warning: Insecure world writable dir /var/www/rubytest in LOAD_PATH, mode 040777 [Tue May 24 19:39:58 2011] [error] mod_ruby: error in ruby [Tue May 24 19:39:58 2011] [error] mod_ruby: /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/apache/ruby-run.rb:53:in load': loading from unsafe file /var/www/rubytest/t.rb (SecurityError) [Tue May 24 19:39:58 2011] [error] mod_ruby: from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/apache/ruby-run.rb:53:in handler' BUT, IF I USE *.rbx it works like a charm...go figure.

  • Problems getting Cron to run processes tagged @reboot for LDAP users

    I have a lab of computers running Ubuntu 9.10. Most of the people who log on to these computers are users from an LDAP server, and not local users. We discovered that if an LDAP user has a crontab with an entry marked to be run @reboot, the command will not actually run upon the reboot of a machine. I'm pretty sure that this is because the cron daemon starts before networking is fully up, so the crontabs of any LDAP users aren't loaded and run or checked for @reboot. In fact, cron will ignore LDAP users' crontabs entirely after a reboot until that user runs crontab -e again and saves, or until the cron daemon is rebooted. We were able to fix one part of this problem by adding the following line to /etc/crontab: @reboot root /bin/sleep 45 && /etc/init.d/cron restart Thus, when cron starts back up upon a reboot, it waits for networking to get up, then restarts the cron daemon. That fixes the problem of crontabs not being read at all for LDAP users. However, since it's the cron daemon being restarted and not the computer, @reboot entries are ignored. Is there a way for a user to make a command run upon restarting the daemon, rather than a reboot? Or is there a better solution to this overall problem? Thanks.

  • Jobs with anacron won't run

    I would like to run two bash scripts daily using anacron in order to backup some data. Unfortunately I can't figure out why said scripts are not executed. For test purposes I let cron execute the scripts and it worked fine. cat /etc/anacrontab gives # /etc/anacrontab: configuration file for anacron # See anacron(8) and anacrontab(5) for details. SHELL=/bin/sh PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin # These replace cron's entries 1 5 cron.daily nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily 7 10 cron.weekly nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.weekly @monthly 15 cron.monthly nice run-parts --report /etc/cron.monthly 1 5 TB_bak /bin/sh /home/vasco2/Dropbox/Scripts/backup_TB.sh 1 5 key_db_bak /bin/sh /home/vasco2/Dropbox/Scripts/bak_key_db.sh The output of ls ~/Dropbox/Scripts/ is backup_TB.sh bak_key_db.sh I use Linux Mint Katya. uname -a gives Linux vasco2 2.6.38-8-generic-pae #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 05:17:09 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I would be very happy if somebody could point me in the right direction on why those scripts won't get executed. P.S.: There is no anacron tag on superuser.com. Maybe somebody wants to change that.

  • kvm-over-ip, multiple machines per cable run

    I'm looking at getting a kvm-over-ip setup for a server room. Typically these devices have 16 or so cat5 leads that come out of them and then a convertor that converts each cat5 into a vga & ps2 pair. Can you run one cable from the unit into a switch, and then leads from the switch into each machine ? I have several machines on the other side of the server room that i'd like to have avaliable but i dont want to run 16 cables to them. I'm thinking this should be possible being IP layer and all, but as each device normally has its own cable out the back of the kvm unit i'm not certain. Perhaps the kvm's rear ports act essentially like a switch anyway in which case it should work, or perhaps if i run all 16 cables into a seperate switch right next to it and aggregate the ports together, run one cable to a switch on the other side of the room with similar number of ports agregated together, then use that switch to plug each macine into ? I'm fairly sure this is possible, but i just want to check before i shell out the cash as i've never tried it.

  • Using IIS6 to run kill process. Executable hangs

    I'm using the following code (any tried many variations) in a web page that is supposed to kill a process on the server: Process scriptProc = new Process(); SecureString password = new SecureString(); password.AppendChar('p'); password.AppendChar('s'); password.AppendChar('s'); password.AppendChar('w'); password.AppendChar('d'); scriptProc.StartInfo.UserName = "mylocaluser"; scriptProc.StartInfo.Password = password; scriptProc.StartInfo.FileName = @"C:\WINDOWS\System32\WScript.exe"; scriptProc.StartInfo.Arguments = @"c:\windows\system32\killMyApp.vbs"; scriptProc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; scriptProc.Start(); scriptProc.WaitForExit(); scriptProc.Close(); The VBS file is supposed to kill a w3wp.exe process, but never works. There are no errors in the application log. It works locally. I noticed WScript.exe is in task manager every time I run the page, and never goes away. The process WScript.exe (and I tried others such a psexec.exe) is being run as a local user with admin rights (and I tried other types of users including domain admins) when run from IIS, but it works when run from the command line on the server.
