  • What predefined macro can I use to detect clang ?

    - by Pierre Bourdon
I'm trying to detect the compiler used to compile my source code. I can easily find predefined macros to check for MSVC or GCC (see http://predef.sourceforge.net/ for example), but I cannot find any macro to check for clang. Does someone know if clang defines a macro like __CLANG__ in order to know what is currently compiling my code ?

  • Scala for Junior Programmers?

    - by Traldin
Hi, we are considering Scala for a new Project within our company. We have some Junior Programmers with only PHP knowledge, and we are in doubt that they can handle Scala. What are your opinions? Some say: "Scala is a complicated beast!", some say: "It's easy once you got it." Maybe someone has real-world experience?

  • How do I make UIWebView show a pdf file from its own app?

    - by Aakburns
I really need to make a UIWebView open up a specific PDF document that is in my project directory. I can't seem to find any tutorials on this. I found one, but the author was not specific about some of the code. I have to assume it's got to be quite a simple bit of code. Can someone help me code UIWebView to load a PDF? Thanks.

I'm just learning to program Dynamics AX 2009. So far I got the dev system running, I got some background about the architecture. Now I'm looking for some walkthrough-samples to learn more about programming in this system. Are there some samples available online? Can someone point me to some learning help? Maybe to some good AX-programming related blogs? How did you learn to program DAX9?

  • VTD-XML Parsing Performance (speed critical factor). Requesting Feedback/Comments

    - by andreas
Hello, I am about to use VTD-XML (found at http://vtd-xml.sourceforge.net/) but I am interested in getting real-case usage feedback, by any one that has used the library and has any comments. At the URL (http://vtd-xml.sourceforge.net/) there are benchmarks but if someone has used VTD-XML and has comments FOR it I would like to hear them. Speed is a critical factor in the application and comments after real-case usage, by developers, is what i am looking for. Regards,

  • Float PPM image file format?

    - by Luca
I've found a PPM image with the header starting with PF. The resolution number is stored in floating point (-1.000). No comments are inserted to get how it was produced. From the resolution, each pixel is composed by 12 bytes (4 bytes per component)... I suppose they are float or integer numbers. The problem is that I cannot get a clear image. Someone has already found this kind of images?

  • singleton vs factory?

    - by fayer
i've got 3 Log classes that all implements iLog interface: DatabaseLog FileLog ScreenLog there can only be one instance of them. initially i though of using single pattern for each class but then i thought why not use a factory for instantiation instead, cause then i wont have to create single pattern for each one of them and for all future Log classes. and maybe someone would want them as multiple objects in the future. so my questions is: should i use factory or singleton pattern here?

  • CATiled Layer Question~

    - by Zee
Hi guys, Was wondering how to apply the CATiled Layer to a webView rather than a scrollView. Went through a lot of books as well as searches and found absolutely nothing regarding how to successfully apply a CATiled Layer to a webView. The basic functionality is to make the website rendering smoother on a webView. I'd really appreciate if someone could provide their insight regarding this. Thanks, -Zee-

  • Multiple Instances of a single MEF DLL

    - by Travyguy9
Apparently .NET 4.0 does not have the PartCreator/ExportFactory for non-SL. Which is something I think I need for this. I was wondering if someone can help me (with an example please) of how to create multiple instances of the EXPORTED type in a DLL. Basically say I have a DLL that contains a type ConsoleLogger and it uses the interface ILogger (which I import/export through MEF)...How would I create an instance of ConsoleLogger whenever I wanted to? Also..Is this even possible?

  • Is there a simple way for opening one (or many) opengl window in mac OS X with C++ ?

    - by Petruza
Yes, I hate Objective-c, plus my project will be portable, so I'd like to code as much of it in C++ as possible, ideally 100%. So I have a regular C++ project made with Xcode, and want to open some OpenGL windows. edit: Damn, Glut takes over the app's control with glutMainLoop(), pretty much as SDL does, I'm trying to break free from that schemes. Will try freeglut, although I can't find OSX binaries, and I always have such bad luck trying to compile someone else's code.

  • Cell tooltip in SlickGrid

    - by Misha Moroshko
Some cells in my SlickGrid table have myClass class. I added a tooltip for them like this: $(".myClass").hover(// Mouse enters function(e) {...}, // Mouse leaves function() {...}); It works fine, but if I scroll the table to the bottom, and then scroll it back to the top, the tooltip does not appear anymore. Can someone suggest any workaround ? Thanks !

  • Java Program Specialization - What is it? I don't understand it..

    - by KP65
I'm reading about program specialization - specifically java and I don't think I quite understand it to be honest. So far what I understand is that it is a method for optimizing efficiency of programs by constraining parameters or inputs? How is that actually done? Can someone maybe explain to me how it helps, and maybe an example of what it actually does and how its done? Thanks
