  • How2 display Image from DB in datagrid?

    Hope it's not yet been answered, but I've googled for quite a long time, and I've not been able to get it working. In brief, I've a SL4 page with a DataGrid filled accordingly to parameters passed from the previous page, so I fill the context in code, with a "RIA" query (w/parameters as well). So far, so good. I get the XAML declared columns as expected but the Photo templated column, which holds just an image control. I think I can use the LoadingRow event, but can some1 give me some code on how to get my goal (image is in in the context from DB)? Thanks in advance

  • Can NSCollectionView autoresize the width of its subviews to display one column

    Hi, I have an NSCollectionView that contains a collection of CustomViews. Initially it tiled the subviews into columns and rows like a grid. I then set the Columns property in IB to 1, so now it just displays them one after another in rows. However, even though my CustomView is 400px wide, it's set to autoresize, the NSCollectionView is 400px wide, and it's set to 1 column, the subviews are drawn about 80px wide. I know I can get around this by calling: CGFloat width = [collectionView bounds].size.width; NSSize size = NSMakeSize(width, 85); [collectionView setMinItemSize:size]; [collectionView setMaxItemSize:size]; But putting this code in the awakeFromNib method of my WindowController only sets the correct width when the program launches. When I resize the window (and the NSCollectionView autoresizes as I've specified), the CustomViews stay at their initially set width. I'm happy to take care of resizing the subviews myself if need be, but I'm quite new to Cocoa and can't seem to find any articles explaining how to do such a thing. Can someone point me in the right direction? Anthony

    I have an array $data fruit => apple, seat => sofa, etc. I want to loop through so that each key becomes type_key[0]['value'] so eg type_fruit[0]['value'] => apple, type_seat[0]['value'] => sofa, and what I thought would do this, namely foreach ($data as $key => $value) { # Create a new, renamed, key. $array[str_replace("/(.+)/", "type_$1[0]['value']", $key)] = $value; # Destroy the old key/value pair unset($array[$key]); } print_r($array); Doesn't work. How can I make it work? Also, I want everything to be in the keys (not the values) to be lowercase: is there an easy way of doing this too? Thanks.

    Objective: I have a list of header files (about 50 of them), And each header-file has few arrays with constant elements. I need to write a program to count the elements of the array. And create some other form of output (which will be used by the hardware group). My solution: I included all the 50 odd files and wrote an application. And then I dumped all the elements of the array into the specified format. My environment: Visual Studio V6, Windows XP My problem: Each time there is a new set of Header files, I am now changing the VC++ project settings to point to the new set of header files, and then rebuild. My question: A bit in-sane though, Is there any way to mention the header from some command line arguments or something? I just want to avoid re-compiling the source every time...

    Hi. I use the following function to rename thumbnails. For example, if I upload a file called "image.png" to an upload folder, and this folder already has a file named "image.png" in it, the new file automatically gets renamed to "image-copy-1.png". If there also is a file called "image-copy-1.png" it gets renamed to "image-copy-2.png" and so on. The following function returns the new filename. At least that's what it is supposed to do... The renaming doesn't seeem to work correctly, though. Sometimes it produces strange results, like: 1.png 1-copy-1.png 1-copy-2.png 1-copy-2-copy-1.png 1-copy-2-copy-3.png I hope you understand my problem, despite my description being somewhat complex... Can you tell me what went wrong here?   • Regex to extract portions of file name

    I have text files formatted as such: R156484COMP_004A7001_20100104_065119.txt I need to consistently extract the R****COMP, the 004A7001 number, 20100104 (date), and don't care about the 065119 number. the problem is that not ALL of the files being parsed have the exact naming convention. some may be like this: R168166CRIT_156B2075_SU2_20091223_123456.txt or R285476COMP_SU1_125A6025_20100407_123456.txt So how could I use regex instead of split to ensure I am always getting that serial (ex. 004A7001), the date (ex. 20100104), and the R****COMP (or CRIT)???   • CheckboxList to display aligned?

    Hello, I made a CheckboxList and it will not line up. I don't see any way to control the generated HTML. Right now, the check boxes do not align due to the widths of the <td> of each checkbox label being an automatic width. How can I set the width of this and make all the labels and checkboxes appear in two vertical aligned columns?     Understanding that I should probably just dig into the source to come up with a solution, I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a tactic for dealing with this. In my project, I have a lot of images being generated outside of the application. I'm isolating them on the filesystem based on a model's pk. For example, a model instance with a pk of 121 might have the following images: .../thumbs/1/2/1/img.1.jpg .../thumbs/1/2/1/img.2.jpg ... .../thumbs/1/2/1/img.27.jpg Since the image filenames themselves are not guaranteed to be unique, I'm looking for a way to inform sorl (at runtime) that I'd like to prefix thumbs for this model with the instance pk value. Is this even possible without patching sorl?

    So, lets say you have two SQL Server Databases on the same server that reference each others tables in their Views, Functions and Stored Procedures. You know, things like this: use database_foo create view spaghetti as select f.col1, c.col2 from fusilli f inner join database_bar.dbo.conchigli c on f.id = c.id (I know that cross-database views are not very good practice, but lets just say you're stuck with it) Are there any good techniques to avoid 'hard coding' the database names? (So that should you need to occasionally re-point to a different database - for testing perhaps - you don't need to edit loads of views, fns, sps) I'm interested in SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 solutions.   • RockBand-like voice app for PC/OSX / Real time pitch display software

    I played Rock Band 2 for the first time a little while ago (at Notacon). One thing I enjoyed about it was getting real-time feedback about my singing. I think it'd be neat to have something like that to run alongside my usual music, so that I can sing to random stuff in my music collection and know when I'm hitting the notes. Is there something like this for PC - ideally for OSX, and ideally that can just operate on arbitrary songs? I don't really care if it's game-like (though that's neat too); I just want it for the singing feedback. And I have no need for pitch correction - ideally what I'd see is just the pitches of the notes in the music and (on the same scale, differently displayed) of the live microphone. I tried to STFW but got no salient hits. :-/ Thanks!
