    I have a library I made, and now I want to utilize it in an application. I've believe I've properly linked to the library. Here are all the things I've done: Set the header search path Set other linker flags to "-ObjC" Added the static library xcode project Made sure the lib.a was listed as a framework target Added the library as a direct dependency Like I said in the title, I've successfully run the app with the static library in the simulator.   • Assembly reference in Silverlight class library and used only in xaml is not packaged in XAP

    I have a 3rd party library (A). That library is referenced in my Silverlight class library (B). That Silverlight class library is referenced in my Silverlight application (C). The 3rd party library is not explicitly referenced in the Silverlight application. It seems that "A" is added to my XAP if "A" is used in any class in "B" because of a chain in dependencies (C - B - A). This is the behavior I would expect and need. If "A" is never explicitly used in a C# class but only defined in Xaml, the assembly is not packaged to the XAP. Maybe "A" includes a control that is only used declaratively and never referenced otherwise. Is this behavior by design? Am I missing a property somewhere that controls this? I would prefer to not explicitly reference the third party library in my Silverlight application. What's to best practice to ensure all necessary assemblies are packaged in the XAP?

  • Trying to include a library, but keep getting 'undefined reference to' messages

    I am attempting to use the libtommath library. I'm using the NetBeans IDE for my project on Ubuntu linux. I have downloaded and built the library, I have done a 'make install' to put the resulting .a file into /usr/lib/ and the .h files into /usr/include It appears to be finding the files appropriately (since I no longer get those errors, which I did before installing into the /usr directories). However, when I create a simple main making a call to mp_init (which is in the library), I get the following error when I attempt to make my project: mkdir -p build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86 rm -f build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o.d gcc -c -g -MMD -MP -MF build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o.d -o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o main.c mkdir -p dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86 gcc -o dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/cproj1 build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o: In function 'main': /home/[[myusername]]/NetBeansProjects/CProj1/main.c:18: undefined reference to `mp_init' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/cproj1] Error 1 So, it looks like the linker can't find the function within the library, however it IS there, so I just don't know what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated. I get the same error if I type the gcc command directly and skip the makefile, I also made sure the static library got compiled with gcc as well. If the library isn't being found how on earth do I get it to find the library? It's in /usr/lib, I've tried it with the .a file in the current directory, etc. Is there an environment variable I need to set? If so, how, etc. Thanks so much for the help. I've tried a completely different library (GMP) and had the EXACT same problem. This has got to be some kind of Ubuntu environment issue? Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

  • Exposing headers on iPhone static library

    Hello guys, I've followed this tutorial for setting up a static library with common classes from 3 projects we are working on. It's pretty simple, create a new static library project on xcode, add the code there, a change some headers role from project to public. The tutorial says I should add my library folder to the header search paths recursively. Is this the right way to go? I mean, on my library project, I have files separated in folders like Global/, InfoScreen/, Additions/. I was trying to setup one LOKit.h file on the root folder, and inside that file #import everything I need to expose. So on my host project I don't need to add the folder recursively to the header search path, and would just #import "LOKit.h". But I couldn't get this to work, the host project won't build complaining about all the classes I didn't add to LOKit.h, even though the library project builds. So, my question is, what is the right way of exposing header files when I setup a Cocoa Touch Static Library project on xCode?

Can you please explain why it is differed? Will it be differed by the xcode versions we use? is The second approach for old xcode versions?

    In my aspx page I have drop down list that initialy in page load event loads up with list of values which is shown to client(drop down list "A") and in client side, depending on client selecion of another drop down list(drop down list "B") I have written a javascript to update drop down list "A" with corresponding values with Ajax behaviour(without full page postback). But when we post page to the server, in server side page load event shows initialy sent list of values for drop down list "A" but not the values that were loaded by Ajax calls due to ViewState not being updated correctly due to Ajax call. I could fix this easily with update panel but it increased Ajax request size to 44KB which is much higher than what currently is for hand made Ajax script I have written( 0.5KB) Is there special way of fixing this rather than using update panel?

    Greetings, i am trying to POST data in a MVC 3 application to a server running IIS 7 using jquery ajax. When i post normally to the server, everything works ok, just when i post with ajax the server returns a 400 Bad request. I already ran a trace on such a request but all i got from that was the following: ModuleName="ManagedPipelineHandler", Notification="EXECUTE_REQUEST_HANDLER", HttpStatus="400", HttpReason="Bad Request", HttpSubStatus="0", ErrorCode="The operation completed successfully.   • Sunspot_Rails Rake Aborted When Running Reindex

    I'm getting the following output after running rake sunspot:reindex. I'm a novice at Rails. I want to add sunspot_rails to my project to add search functionality (with the hope of deploying the project with Heroku). I'm using Rails 3. My various other attempts to diagnose the problem included: installing sunspot in addition to sunspot_rails.     This is what I think about Microsoft Windows Phone. If Microsoft were in our shoes looking at various phones available their configurations, memory, front facing cameras etc. Microsoft disappointed the USA customer base again by not getting Nokia Lumia 800. The Past: If we talk few years ago, few business people were on their Blackberry’s and few Gadget lovers were on crappy Windows OS devices. The world was all going right till Apple came with a revolutionary device iPhone, which completely changed our perception towards phone and how great a smartphone can be. It’s not just phone but the whole technology industry. The romantic appealing of the phone and smooth touch and feel of it made everyone to get one of those bad boys. The sales went up for not just Apple for AT&T too. Even though everyone complained about the signal strength of AT&T, everyone wanted to be on it because they have iPhones. All world wanted iPhone back then except Microsoft with few comments on how it is not going to be in market. But it did great and rocked the industry. A few years later with iPhone and Android taking over the smartphone market Microsoft realized that it should be in the game too. Worked on the design of it, and gave us the best Mobile OS ever. Everyone thinks that iOS is a great OS for phones but if you have touched a Windows Phone and use it for real then you will realize the strengths of it. so last year we welcomed Windows Phone 7 The Present : Windows Phone 7 has the fastest growing market. The phones are cheap, you can buy from any carrier out there. The phone became smarter and smarter with the recent update “Mango (7.5)” and with the collaboration with Nokia, Microsoft created a new eco-system for smartphones with the best smartphone hardware and best smartphone software. Everyone in the world was excited about the collaboration. As we fly over cloud 9 imagining about Nokia made Windows Phones we all heard a good news from Nokia “Nokia World”. Nokia showed the world what a best hardware making company can do with Windows Phone 7.5 OS. Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 took the spotlight. Everyone here in USA and all over the world wanted to own a Nokia Lumia 800 because of the design, software, proprietary apps from Nokia (maps, ESPN, drive and music). If USA market had Nokia Lumia 800, then it would have been the best step Microsoft and Nokia had ever made in their history of smartphone market. With all the numbers going to Android and IPhone, its not clear on why Microsoft/Nokia did not release Lumia 800 here in USA. Its unclear if Microsoft had learnt the lesson or not. if it had learnt the lesson I guess Microsoft needs to get the Nokia Lumia 800 to the USA. The Future: This is where we hope we get the best form Microsoft. I was an iPhone user, I used 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4 and then moved to Windows Phone and never felt so happy with my iPhones’. From the day when Nokia announced the partnership with Microsoft and said that they going to come up with a new Nokia windows phone, I was dreaming for my Nokia Phone. but looks like it is not going to happen any time soon. My thoughts about the Market :  Nokia has the biggest market base in the world. Even though people moved to Android or iPhone over the years in other parts of the world like India and China, people still love to use Nokia. Everyone who uses a Windows Phone now will wait for that day when Nokia Lumia comes to the USA but what either or both of the companies should do for a better market share is to make a very aggressive move with the hardware and bet on the devices. I am pretty sure that it will work. everyone here in the USA will like to have a dual core windows phone with front facing camera and all other crazy things that android/apple phones offer.     I've installed MS Office 2010 Beta (OneClick technology). All apps launch from 1 program, Word for example has this link: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Virtualization Handler\CVH.EXE" "Microsoft Word 2010 (Beta) 2014006204190000" Or OneNote: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Virtualization Handler\CVH.EXE" "Microsoft OneNote 2010 (Beta) 2014006204190000" Because of that I can't associate files with Office programs in file properties, they actually associate with “Microsoft Office Client Virtualization Handler” (CVH.EXE). Anyone know another way to do that?

  • HIB Games (Aquaria & Penumbra) cannot find libGL.so.1 even though it exists

    I'm try to play some Humble Indie Bundle (HIB) games, but I'm getting errors with Aquaria and Penumbra: Overture that are related to the libGL.so.1 file. Aquaria gives this error on launch: Message: SDL_GL_LoadLibrary Error: Failed loading libGL.so.1 And Penumbra: Overture gives this error on launch: ./penumbra.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I know that the file libGL.so.1 does exist (in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/mesa/libGL.so.1). From past errors like this, I'm guessing that you need to symlink the library to another directory, but I can't figure out which one.

    Is there a PHP/Perl/Python/... library for picking citations out of an HTML file and rendering a nice list of references at the bottom, like in Wikipedia? I'm developing a website with heavily-sourced content, and I'd really like to have automatically-generated lists of formatted references, like in Wikipedia. (Check out their philosophy page, and see how the superscript numbered citations interact with the references at the bottom. This is all dynamically generated, automatically ordered & linked.) They do it really well: the citations are linked to the references (which are backlinked to the citations), when you click on one of the links, the target is highlighted, etc. I'm tempted to build the site on MediaWiki just for this one feature, but it seems like overkill. Do I have any options?

Does it allows me to encode markdown2html and vise versa? Where is a doc for this package, I can't find one? :( Okay, so it terns out that I found the docs, just did not match them up, the project-page did not contain any info on it being the Squeeze package libmarkdown-php, Said to know it is not in Lenny.   • Browser freeze while ajax call in action

    I have a ASP.NET Web App. I notice that while a simple ajax call(see below) is in process, web application does not respond to any action that I try on a different browser. $.ajax({ type: "GET", async: true, url: "someurl", dataType: "text", cache: false, success: function(msg){ CheckResponse(msg); } }); This happens when I open two firefox or two IE. I run the function that does the ajax call on first browser and till the response of the ajax is returned, I cannot do anything on the second browser on the same site. No breakpoints are hit on the server from the second browser till initial ajax is completed. It hangs for any click etc.. The hang on the second browser ends immediately after the ajax call is completed on the first one. This behavior is not observed if I try the same on IE and Firefox side by side. Only happen with IE & IE or FF & FF side by side Appreciate if you can help me see what I am missing here.

    Hello, I'm using asp.net mvc ajax. The partial view is using Ajax.BeginForm (just an example): <div id="divPlaceholder"> <% using (Ajax.BeginForm(new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "divPlaceholder" })) { %> ... asp.net mvc controls and validation messages <input type="submit" value="Save" /> <% } %> </div> After update, if validation fails, the html is: <div id="divPlaceholder"> <div id="divPlaceholder"> ...form </div> </div> I don't like that the returned html is inserted, instead it should replace original div. Probably on POST I should not render <div> around form in partial view or render the div without id. What else can I do in this situation? I was thinking that maybe I should write a helper, something like Ajax.DivBeginForm, which will render form inside div on GET and hide the div on POST. Can somebody provide a good advice how to write such helper (Ajax.DivBeginForm)? I'd like it to work with using keyword: <% using (Ajax.DivBeginForm(new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "myId" })) { ... }%>

But as I saw the requests in firebug, it calls the action multiple times. I read similar posts like mine on stackoverflow.com and most of them suggested removing repetitive "jquery.unobtrusive-ajax.min.js" calss in page, but as I saw the output page I only see on link to the "jquery.unobtrusive-ajax.min.js" script.

  • Reinstall of Microsoft Office 2010 beta isn't prompting me for upgrade vs. side-by-side installation

    I'm running Office 2007 on Windows 7. When I ran the Microsoft Office 2010 beta installation, it asked if I wanted to upgrade the existing 2007 installation or install along side 2007. I later uninstalled 2010 and rebooted. When I re-ran the Office 2010 setup program, it no longer asked if I wanted to upgrade or install side by side. It just did a side by side install by default. How can I get it to re-prompt me, as I'd now like to upgrade my 2007 install.

  • How can I delete, break, or otherwise convert cross references to simple text in microsoft word 2013

    Cross referencing figure and table captions is useful while editing a document but can become confude when copying and pasting between large documents. I need to pass my document to a colleague who will collate my document with others and has requested that I remove or delete any cross referencing so that my "correct" cross references do not interfere or get interfered with by any other cross references that may be in my colleagues master collated document. My document will be cut and pasted into the master and no further complicated instructions after that point will be tolerated by my colleague. Is there a simple way to convert my cross references to simple text? I am using microsoft word 2013.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007 - General Failure. The URL was: "<http:/something.com>". The parameter is incorrect

    For the last two days, Outlook has decided it doesn't like URL's. Any email message that comes in containing an URL will show the following in an error dialogue message box when I click on the link: General Failure. The URL was: "http:/something.com/somewhere/". The parameter is incorrect If I copy the link into a browser, it works correctly. OS is Windows XP SP 3, Microsoft Office 2007 (Outlook), Internet Explorer 8 (also Chrome). I have, of course, Googled this and the two most popular solutions are: Solution 1: Add/Remove programs Set Program Access and Defaults Custom tab Make sure a default browser is selected Solution 2: Add/Remove Programs Select the MS Office 2007 item Click Change Click Repair I have tried both of these and I still get the problem. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it with a solution other than those listed above?
