• Sd card bigger than 2gb is not recognized in ubuntu 12.04

  When I insert a card up to 2gb it is immediately seen by the system but if try it with bigger one it's not seen. I presume the issue is not due to the card reader itself as it reads all cards under windows 7 but due to linux driver. I could see some people having similar issues but no solution. Any help appreciated. GParted doesnt see cards bigger than 2gb. • Dell 3721 Wifi problem Ubuntu 13.04

  I have a Dell 3721 which comes original with windows 8. I managed it to install ubuntu 12.10 on this laptop, even there was no out of the box drivers. With 12.10 I was forces to install this .deb package couple of times. After installing it, it was ok for some weeks before I have to install it again. Maybe some security updates destroy something which made in necessary to install it again... http://jas.gemnetworks.com/debian/pool/main/w/wireless-bcm43142/wireless-bcm43142-dkms_6.20.55.19-1_amd64.deb My problem is, that this package isnt working with ubuntu 13.04 anymore. So I cant use Wifi now. Also my display is almost dark, I cant change the brightness level with ubuntu 13.04. Hope you can give me some advice.   Trying to call a WCF with a netTcpBinding via Silverlight, I am getting the error: "TCP error code 10013: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way while the service is not configured for cross-domain access. You may need to contact the owner of the service to expose a sockets cross-domain policy over HTTP and host the service in the allowed sockets port range 4502-4534." My WCF service is hosted in IIS7, bound to: http://localhost.myserivce.com on port 80 and net.tcp on port 4502 I can see http://localhost.myserivce.com/myservice.svc if I browse to it (my hosts file is pointing this domain to localhost).   Hello Community, I successfully send Mails via SMTP using my Rails App and my Postfix Server. Now I need to move to an Exchange: Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.3959 that has POP3 and SMTP support enabled. I use actionmailer 1.2.5 and am not able to successfully login to the server while trying to send a mail. In case I use Mail.app sending and recieving works fine as long as I change the authentication schema to "Password".   Hi, I was trying http-cleint tutorials from svn.apache.org. While running the application I am getting the following error in console. • WCF, Metadata and BIGIP - Can I force the correct url for the WSDL items?

  We have a WCF service hosted on ServerA which is a server with no-direct Internet access and has a non-Internet routable IP address. The service is fronted by BIGIP which handles SSL encryption and decryption and forwards the unencrypted request to ServerA (at the moment it does NOT actually do any load balancing, but that is likely to be added in the future) on a specific port. What that means is that our clients would be calling the service through https://www.OurDomain.com/ServiceUrl and would get to our service on http://SeverA:85/ServiceUrl through the BIGIP device; When we browse to the WSDL published on https://www.OurDomain.com/ServiceUrl all the addresses contained in the WSDL are based on the http://SeverA:85/ServiceUrl base address We figured out that we could use the host headers setting to set the domain, but our problem is that while this would sort out the domain, we would still be using the wrong scheme – it would use http://www.OurDomain.com/ServiceUrl while we need it to be Https. Also – as we have other services (asmx based) hosted on that server we had some issues setting the host headers, and so we thought we could get away with creating another site on the server (using, say, port 82) and set the host header on that; now, on top of the http/https problem we have an issue as the WSDL contains the port number in all the urls, where BigIP works on port 443 (for the SSL) Is there a more flexible solution than implementing Host Headers? Ideally we need to retain flexibility and ease of supportability. Thanks for any help…

• Creating a Sharepoint Development Environment from an Existing Production Environment

  I have very little experience using Sharepoint but a good amount using Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2005, Windows Server 2003 and IIS6. I need to create a development environment for a SharePoint 2007 system that will be used internally. The system is already deployed over two servers - one of the servers simply holds the database and everything else is on the other server. We are also using WSS 3.0. I have created a Virtual Machine with all the required software including a clean installation of SharePoint Server 2007 and I wish to use this single Virtual Machine as the development environment. Right now there are no custom assemblies being used on the production server as far as I am aware. There are 3 websites, one over port 80 for user accesss, one over a custom port for central administration, and one over another custom port. Not sure what the last one is for but my blank instance of Sharepoint on my Virtual Machine also has something similar. I attempted to use the STSADM tool to backup and restore these 3 sites from my production environment to my development environment and while the operations completed succesfully, the central administration site in my development environment acted strangely and I could not access port 80 - I did not seem to have correct credentials for it. I suspected that it would not have been so simple so could I please have advice on how to create my development environment so that I can use it to deploy updates to the production one.

  I want to test an application which renders a text block with a data field value. I would like to get the actual width and actual height, once the rendering completes. Everything works fine. The problem came first, when I tried to test the application. I'm unable to invoke the dispatcher from the test project.   Hello, I want to setup Oracle for SSL communication. I am not using SSL authentication for database user. As first requirement, generated self signed certificate using OpenSSL and added certificate to wallet. The wallet location is specified in server configuration. Created listener and it is starting however it does not provide any service. The default listener (non SSL) is working fine. When I execute LSNRCTL.EXE status SSLLISTENER it gives below output. • Komodo Edit 5.2 Django Template Syntax Error - Info: <head> previously mentioned

  I am using Komodo Edit 5.2 for editing html and Django template files. It always shows a single syntax error inside the first {% block %} area on the first tag of my template. For example: {% extends "base.html" %} {% load i18n %} {% block title %}Hello{% endblock %} {% block content %} <p>Hello</p> <-- Syntax error on this single line <p>Other lines have no errors</p> {% endblock %} {% block footer %} <p>No errors here</p> {% endblock %} The syntax error given is: Info: <head> previously mentioned I know for a fact that the error has nothing to do with my <head> tag since it occurs in the base template and in child templates (and the IDE isn't smart enough to process the base templates when in a child, etc.) All of my html tags are closed properly and everything validates for XHTML strict. This forum post mentions a similar problem but offers no solution (and may be specific to Smarty syntax highlighting). Any ideas on how to resolve this error (or disable it from being shown)?

• Reading a POP3 server with only TcpClient and StreamWriter/StreamReader

  I'm trying to read mails from my live.com account, via the POP3 protocol. I've found the the server is pop3.live.com and the port if 587. I'm not planning on using a pre-made library, I'm using NetworkStream and StreamReader/StreamWriter for the job. I need to figure this out. So, any of the answers given here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44383/reading-email-using-pop3-in-c are not usefull. It's part of a larger program, but I made a small test to see if it works. Eitherway, i'm not getting anything.   I am having a hard time getting cxf to validate an xml request that my service creates for a 3rd party. My project uses maven. Here is my project structure Main Module : + Sub-Module1 = Application + sub-Module2 = Interfaces In Interfaces, inside src/main/resources I have my wsdl and xsd. so, src/main/resources + mywsdl.wsdl. + myschema.xsd The interface submodule is listed as a dependency in the Application-sub-module. inside Application sub-module, there is a cxsf file in src/maim/resources. <jaxws:client name="{myTargerNameSpaceName}port" createdFromAPI="true"> <jaxws:properties> <entry key="schema-validation-enabled" value="true" /> </jaxws:properties> </jaxws:client> AND:. <jaxws:endpoint name="{myTargetNameSpaceName}port" wsdlLocation="/mywsdl.wsdl" createdFromAPI="true"> <jaxws:properties> <entry key="schema-validation-enabled" value="true" /> </jaxws:properties> </jaxws:endpoint> I tried changing the "name="{myTargetNameSpaceName}port" to "name="{myEndPointName}port" But to no anvil. My application works. But it just do not validate the xml I am producing that has to be consumed by a 3rd party application. I would like to get the validation working, so that any request that I send would be a valid one. Any suggestions?

  Everybody hi. There is a problem with my own AJAX library, that I can't solve. What do I want? My #ajax-loading block contains the button, than should Cancel current AJAX request. As I supposed, the function, making Cancel shoud contain: abort: function() { if(ajax.request) { this.request.abort(); $('#ajax-loading').fadeOut(150); } } But, as I said, there is a problem: my AJAX request cancels, loading-block hides, but when another request starts, this block doesn't shows again. It seems that when I abort AJAX request, the ajaxStop event doesn't happen. And when I run new request ajaxStart doesn't happen. I think it can be connected with readyState or status field of XMLHttpRequest, or smth similar. Could anyone help me with this or explain what's wrong. PS: excuse my english, it's not my native language...

• Variable-width inline underline effects in CSS

  I need to simulate the look of a typical paper form in CSS. It consists of a two-column table of fields. Each field consists of a field name (of variable width) followed by an underline that continues to the end of the column. The field might be populated, in which case there is some text centered above the line, or it may be blank. If that isn't clear, he's a rough idea in manky ASCII art: Name: _______Foo_______ Age: _____17______ Location: __Melbourne__ Handedness: _Left_ (except that the underline would continue under any text) To implement the underline without text, I assume I should use a border-bottom rather than a text-decoration: underline. Additionally, I need the bordered element to take up the full available space. Both of those argue for a block-level element. However, I can't find any way to get the block level element (either a div, an li, or a span set to display: block or inline-block) to remain on the same line as the label. As soon as I give it a width: 100%, it newlines. I've tried various combinations of floats, and I'm not inclined to do anything ridiculous with absolute positioning. Any recommendations?

• Problem with WPF Data Binding Defined in Code Not Updating UI Elements

  I need to define new UI Elements as well as data binding in code because they will be implemented after run-time. Here is a simplified version of what I am trying to do. • How do I get netcat to accept connections from outside the LAN?

  I'm using netcat as a backend to shovel data back and forth for a program I'm making. I tested my program on the local network, and once it worked I thought it would be a matter of simply forwarding a port from my router to have my program work over the internet. Alas! This seems not to be the case. If I start netcat listening on port 6666 with: nc -vv -l -p 6666, then go to 127.0.0.1:6666 in a browser, as expected I see a HTTP GET request come through netcat (and my browser sits waiting in vain). If I go to my.external.ip.address:6666, however, nothing comes through at all and the browser displays 'could not connect to my.external.ip.address:6666'. I know that the port is correctly forwarded, as www.canyouseeme.org says port 6666 is open (and when netcat is not listening, that its closed). If I run netcat with -g my.adslmodem's.local.address to set the gateway address, I get the same behavior. Am I using this command line option correctly? Any insight as to what I'm doing wrong?

• Understanding CABasicAnimation when spinning an object from a random angle....

  I have spent ages trying to figure this out and I am still having problems. I want to rotate an image a random number of time - say 5 and a bit - then have it stop. I then want to rotate it again FROM ITS STOPPED POSITION. I am having difficulty with this so maybe someone can advise me on the right way to do it. Ok so I am using a CABasicAnimation for the spin like this... CABasicAnimation* rotationAnimation; rotationAnimation = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: 0.0]; rotationAnimation.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: M_PI * 1.0]; rotationAnimation.duration = 100; rotationAnimation.cumulative = YES; rotationAnimation.repeatCount = 5.2; rotationAnimation.removedOnCompletion = NO; rotationAnimation.fillMode = kCAFillModeForwards; [myView.layer addAnimation:rotationAnimation forKey:@"rotationAnimation"]; This works fine. I use a animationDidStop function to transform the image to the new angle so that it actually in the new position (not just appearing that way). This is where my problems start. I have tried the following... removing the toValue line which means the animation starts from where it currently is but when the animation block is repeated it jumps back to this start position every time the block is run storing the value of the end rotation and using this in the toValue so the 2 lines of code become... rotationAnimation = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: previousVal]; rotationAnimation.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: (M_PI * 1.0)+previousVal]; when I do this the animation still jumps because it is flicking back to the previousVal everytime the block is repeated Therefore my final thought is to check to see if the image is at zero, if not then rotate it to zero, then impliment the block of code to spin multiple times. This seems complicated but is this the ONLY way to achieve this? I am concerned about getting the timings smooth with this method. Any suggestions would be amazing! Thanks

• Implementing the ‘defer’ statement from Go in Objective-C?

  Hello! Today I read about the defer statement in the Go language: A defer statement pushes a function call onto a list. The list of saved calls is executed after the surrounding function returns. Defer is commonly used to simplify functions that perform various clean-up actions. I thought it would be fun to implement something like this in Objective-C. Do you have some idea how to do it? I thought about dispatch finalizers, autoreleased objects and C++ destructors. Autoreleased objects: @interface Defer : NSObject {} + (id) withCode: (dispatch_block_t) block; @end @implementation Defer - (void) dealloc { block(); [super dealloc]; } @end #define defer(__x) [Defer withCode:^{__x}] - (void) function { defer(NSLog(@"Done")); … } Autoreleased objects seem like the only solution that would last at least to the end of the function, as the other solutions would trigger when the current scope ends. On the other hand they could stay in the memory much longer, which would be asking for trouble. Dispatch finalizers were my first thought, because blocks live on the stack and therefore I could easily make something execute when the stack unrolls. But after a peek in the documentation it doesn’t look like I can attach a simple “destructor” function to a block, can I? C++ destructors are about the same thing, I would create a stack-based object with a block to be executed when the destructor runs. This would have the ugly disadvantage of turning the plain .m files into Objective-C++? I don’t really think about using this stuff in production, I’m just interested in various solutions. Can you come up with something working, without obvious disadvantages? Both scope-based and function-based solutions would be interesting.
