    In perl most of my print statements take the form print "hello." . "\n"; Is there a nice way to avoid keeping all the pesky "\n"s lying around? I know I could make a new function such as myprint that automatically appends \n, but it would be nice if I could override the existing print.

  • replace xml element

    Hello, Im doing something like that: var results = from d in myDocument.Elements().Descendants("myName") select d; foreach (var result in results){ if (sth...){ result.replace(myXElement); } } The problem is that when I replace an element I cant iterate to the next element cause there is null reference. (var result in results). Is there any other way to replace that element with another one and still be able to iterate through that document ? thanks for help

    Hello, My Eclipse RCP application requires a configuration file that contains some information to connect to a remote database. Where is the best location to store this configuration file? Can I use the default configuration directory (where 'config.ini' is usually stored) for this purpose? If so, how can I get a File instance to this location programmatically? I also note that this directory does not exist in my Eclipse IDE. Thanks.

His clients need access to some web applications through login and password and need to be authenticated . i thought about creating a custom asp.net membership provider that hits exchange instead of the regular aspnetdb store. Is there a way to authenticate these users against exhange with their exchange provided email/username and password ? thank you.

    Hello, I currently am displaying dates as follows "yyyy/mm/dd" in a wordpress blog (it needs to be input in this format because a plugin is using it to define a post expiration date). I want to use jQuery to locate all of these strings on a page (they're all in table cells) and reformat them to "mm.dd.yy" The site is: http://www.beattrainsoundsystem.com/category/gigs The dates also exist in the footer on every page which I would also like to change.     Hello, I was wondering if there are any free / open source solutions that will start and stop a windows service based on load? I have some pubsub subscriber services that do background work which is not critical. Ideally i would like tot be able to automate things so that these services could start if memory/cpu/disk i/o was under a certain threshold and stop gracefully if that threshold was met.     Hello If I have a method like this: public static String convertDateTimeToString(DateTime dt) { return dt.getDate() + " " + dt.getTime(); } Which takes a Datetime object of my own which contains a Java.sql.date and a Java.sql.time, what is the best way of reversing the process so that I can substring a Java.sql.date and a Java.sql.time from a string? Or if DateTime dt is a JodaTime DateTime object? If this can be done without reference to Java.util.date. Thanks Mr Morgan.

    Hello, I am trying to figure out how to convert an "external relative path" to an absolute one: I'd really like a function that will do the following: $path = "/search?q=query"; $host = "http://google.com"; $abspath = reltoabs($host, $path); And have $abspath equal to "http://google.com/search?q=query" The problem is that it is not guaranteed to be in that format, and it could already be absolute, or be pointing to a different host entirely, and I'm not quite sure how to approach this.
