I heard this term recently. What are subscription applications(for a mobile platform). Does this term fall under standard usage? Are there any examples of such a mobile application?
Thanks.
Hi All,
Is there any way to get CVS e-mail notifications to inlude links to my ViewCVS server where clicking a link could bring up the diff ?
Currently my loginfo file just has entries like this
^installation cat | /usr/bin/Mail -s "[cvs-update installation]" [email protected]
The e-mails we all then get (Afairly standard I imagine) contain the commit message and list of files changed.
Cheers,
Ro
Hi,
Is it possible to generate a proxy class from WSDL and use the proxy class for other communication protocol?
For example, my application generate the new proxy class and then use this class as a standard for sending request and receiving response messages on TCP, JMS, etc.
Thanks
I know this is more like a serverfault question than a stackoverflow question, but since serverfault isn't up yet, here I go:
I'm supposed to move an application from one redhat server to another, and without very good knowledge of the internal workings of the application, how would I move the OpenLDAP database from the one machine to the other, with schemas and all.
What files would I need to copy over? I believe the setup is pretty standard.
Do you know any easy way to find a logging call that throws "not enough argumenst for format string".
On my workstation I've modified logging/__init__.py to print the msg so I can easily find the line in the source.
But do you have any idea what to do on the testing environment where you can't change python standard library nor run pdb easily?
I have a UTF-8 encoded char*.
Is there a standard function to calculate the number of visible characters represented by the byte array?
I'm on Red Hat (RHEL 5).
Two quotes from the C++ standard, §1.8:
An object is a region of storage.
Base class subobjects may have zero size.
I don't think a region of storage can be of size zero. That would mean that some base class subobjects aren't actually objects. Opinions?
I'm making a bookmarklet, but I've encountered some wierd behaviour in IE8. The code causing the problem is this:
var els = document.getElementById("my_id").getElementsByTagName("*");
for(var i in els)
{
alert(i+","+els[i])
}
The first thing that is alerted is "length, n". This isn't the case in chrome: just in IE8.
Interestingly, it seems to behave differently depending on whether the code goes in the console/address bar or the page itself.
Is this standard behaviour?
I have a structure where the main table is USER, other tables include CATEGORY (contains user_id).
What I got after the standard reverse engineering procedure was:
the class User contained a collection of categories,
the class Category didn't contain the foreign key (user_id) but it did contain the User object.
Why did it not contain the foreign key as a class property?
And how do I join these two tables in HQL without that glue?
HQL - please explain this part.
I have created activex control in vb6. It has standard label with its backstyle property set as transperant. Also activex control form itself has property backstyle set as transperant. In Vc++ I placed this activex control in property sheet page. But i am not getting this activex control displayed in running mode. If we change backstyle property to opaque then it is working fine. How to resolve this issue
Some people are saying " stack variable store its value in HEAP ", and others saying " stack variable store store its value in DATA segment". I am totally confused with these conflict answers.
Where exactly static variable stores?. I am expecting an answer with standard reference ( text books, or good author tutorial).
What are the advantages of using C++ based Classes/Objects over using legacy C Structures for managing standard Data Structures like Linked List, Stack, Tree, Queue ..etc? Let me know if the question is not clear.
I need to create a shortcut file that links to a sharepoint document library and then send that in an email (don't worry about outlook blocking lnk files). I have had a look at how to how to create a standard shortcut file in C# but this fails when you give it a server address (\\\)
Does anyone have an idea on how to do this.
Also would be supper to know how i can convert the link into and SPFile object so that i can also attached it to a list item once i have created it.
This question1 describes a way how to show list of phone numbers and select one of them if my app needs a phone number. But image if I have a huge contact list, it is not enough to just show list but possibility for filtering (by contact's name) is also needed. Is there a standard way to show phones list with picking possibility and with filtering possibility? (I wouldn't like to invent my own)
Is there a solution for the problem for sdk 2.0 and lower?
I'm trying to get to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameUX\, but the only subkey being returned in C# is MachineSettings - even though there are additional subkeys, including Games and several keys named for different user SIDs. How can I access these other keys? Even a standard user account can read the content of both Games and that account's own SID (when looking in regedit)...
I have two servlet: first servlet is similar to a client and creates an HttpURLConnection to call the second servlet.
I would like send a special error, formatted like a JSON object, so I call sendError method in this way: response.sendError(code, "{json-object}")
But in the first servlet when I read error with getResponseMessage method I just get standard HTTP message and not my json object as a string.
How I can get my json string?
I'm coming to C++ from a .Net background. Knowing how to use the Standard C++ Libraries, and all the syntax, I've never ventured further. Now I'm looking learning a bit more, such as what libraries are commonly used? I want to start getting into Threading but have no idea to start. Is there a library (similar to how .net has System.Threading) out there that will make it a bit easier? I'm specifically looking to do Linux based network programming.
Outside the standard mouse/keyboard combination are there any other peripherals that you use to make you programming more efficient?
One option that I have considered is using AutoHotKey to script the buttons on a Logitech Wingman to run different functions/keystrokes that are not available on the keyboard.
I think the subject says it all. I always call it the "arrow operator", but I'm sure it has an official name. I quickly skimmed the C++ standard and didn't see it mentioned by name.
Hi,
I'm using godaddy shared hosting, with IIS7, Integrated mode, and published up a bog standard MVC2 app to dev.lazygekko.com created with Visual Web Developer 2010.
It all works, however when any of the links are clicked, they point to dev.lazygekko.com/dev/..., dev being the folder it is pointing at.
Can anyone shed some light on what I may be doing wrong?
Many thanks.
When an external JavaScript file is referenced,
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script>
is the JavaScript source (lines of code before interpretation) available from the DOM or window context in the current HTML page? I mean by using only standard JavaScript without any installed components or tools.
I know tools like Firebug trace into external source but it's installed on the platform and likely has special ability outside the context of the browser sandbox.
Hello,
for my application (WPF) I'd like to use the standard icons for save, open... However, I'm not aware of them being available as vector graphics? So, where can one get them, is it maybe possible to extract them from some DLL files or whatever? Thank you very much!
What is the most standard encryption technique used in sql server for asp.net c# enterprise level application? . i am talking with respect to standards like md5 or sh1 etc, hashing
