    I am trying to execute following PL/SQL script in SQL Developer. The loop should return count of nulls but somehow everytime it is returning 0. set serveroutput on DECLARE --v_count number; v_count_null number; BEGIN execute immediate 'select count(*) from SP_MOSAIX' into v_count; FOR i in (select column_name from all_tab_COLUMNS where table_name = 'SP_MOSAIX') LOOP select count(*) into v_count_null from SP_MOSAIX where i.column_name IS NULL ; dbms_output.put_line(v_count_null); END LOOP; END; So when I run this, following output is what i get: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 But if I manually execute the query subsituting column_name I get the result. select count(*) into v_count_null from SP_MOSAIX where i.column_name IS NULL; Can anybody help on this?

    I'm trying to create a single query which, similar to stack overflow, will give me the number of votes, but also make sure that the currently viewing user can't upvote again if they've already upvoted. my query currently looks like SELECT cid, text, COUNT(votes.parentid) FROM comments LEFT JOIN votes ON comments.cid=votes.parentid AND votes.type=3 WHERE comments.type=0 AND comments.parentid='$commentParentid' GROUP BY comments.cid But I'm completely stumpted on how to add the check to see if the userid is in the votes table. The other option is to add a seperate query where SELECT COUNT(*) FROM votes WHERE userid='$userid' AND parentid='$commentParentid' AND type=3 I'm just realizing I'm so lost with this that I don't even really know what tags to provide.

How can I use the JPA mapping to limit the input in FileVersion.file_id only for values existing in File.id?     Hi, I'm just starting out in learning Ruby and I've written a program that generates some numbers and assigns them to variables @one, @two, @three etc. The user can then specify a variable to change by inputting it's name (e.g one). I then need to do something like '@[valueofinout] = asd'. How would I do this, and is there a better way as the way I'm thinking of seems to be discouraged? I've found x = "myvar" myvar = "hi" eval(x) -> "hi" but I don't completely understand why the second line is needed. In my case would I use something like @one = "21" input = "one" input = "@" + input changeto = "22" eval(input) -> changeto Thanks

Here's my sample dataframe named 'b' Winner Color Size Tom Yellow Med Jerry Yellow Lar Jane Blue Med where items in the Winner column are factors. I'm trying to change "Tom" in the dataframe to "Tom LLC" and I can't get it done. Here's what I tried: Simple way: b$winner[b$winner=='Tom'] = as.factor('Tom LLC') but that failed with "invalid factor level, NAs generated" Next I tried a more advanced route: name_reset = function (x, y, z) { if (x$winner == y) {x$winner = z} } b = adply(b,1,name_reset,'Tom','Tom LLC') but that failed with "Error in list_to_dataframe(res, attr(.data, "split_labels")) : Results are not equal lengths" I feel I'm missing something basic.     I need to return a full directory name from inside a specified directory that contains .default in the folder name. Basically I'm adding a line in a backup script to backup firefox bookmarks, but the profile name is going to be different on every machine and I need a way to find the folder the bookmarks.html file resides without knowing the firefox profile name I've looked at FIND and FINDSTR but neither seem to be what I need. I also looked at this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2252785/windows-batch-file-get-folders-path-and-store-them-in-variable It was closer to what I'm looking for, but I just need a folder name, and to use something like regexp to find it Any suggestions on commands to look at or strategies to use?
