If we have three functions (foo, bar, and baz) that are composed like so...
foo(bar(), baz())
Is there any guarantee by the C++ standard that bar will be evaluated before baz?
I got a programm in haskell outputting utf-8 using the package utf8-string and using only the output functions of this package.
I set the encoding of each file I write to this way :
hSetEncoding myFile utf8
{- myFile may be stdout -}
but when I try to output :
alpha = [fromEnum 0x03B1] {- a -}
instead of the nice alpha letter I got on Linux (or in a file on windows), I got the following :
α
The weird thing is even if I try to write the output on a file, I can't read it back with mvim as an utf-8 file. Is there any way to get the correct behaviour
Some of the plugins I wrote (re)calculate various prices, and I used Math.Round to keep results accurate with the default 2 digit setting in CRM.
But I figured... what if a user decides to set his CRM to use a different precision?
So, I need to access the CRM settings programmatically, so that my functions can work with whatever setting the user chooses.
How would I go about accessing the General (and, possibly, other) CRM settings from my code?
I want to use a field (kind of QTextEdit), which is capabale of storing picture and text (like MS Word is doing) and it serializes and deserialaizes picture+text data. Is there any Qt Widget that allows us to manipulate with picture and text simultaniously and it has set/get functions which operate with serializable type? In othger words, I want to know if there exsists any Qt widget that can store picture+text and has "get" types of function that returns the content of that widgets editable area, which is a Type that could be serialized with QDataStream.
I am developing an OCX with some DISP_FUNCTION_ID defined.
How could I automatically generate a wrapper for it to be used in an MFC C++ Dialog so it can be autoregenerated when I add functions to my OCX?

Hi Guys,
could you help me with following questions.
How do i get the:
absolute/relative current url
http://www.example.com/subdir/controller/action
/subdir/controller/action
absolute/relative application url
http://www.example.com/subdir/
/subdir/
I could of course use native php to get it but i think i should rather use ko3 functions.
Any idea how that works?
Thanks in advance!
For small-to-large teams developing software together, what tools are used to form a comprehensive team development framework?
Specifically, I'm looking for a comprehensive list of all the individual functions involved (e.g. source control, bug management, testing tools, project management), not specific product recommendations. I'm also not restricting the list to a particular methodology (e.g. Scrum).
I'm working on a VB6 app that will do some very simple communication with a web server (passing value and getting back an anwer. Low bandwith and infrequent use).
Someone suggested using WCF or Web Services. I'm wondering what the advantages are vs. just posting to an ASPX page like:
Myserver.com/Functions.ASP?FunctionName=GetValue?UserName=BubbGump
and returning some simple, easy to parse text, like one value per line.
Some of my AJAX calls in IE6 and IE7 seem to randomly time out. It doesn't happen in any of the other browsers. Posting code won't be of much help, because it literally happens in three or four different places where the functions and code are completely different.
Has anyone else experienced this issue before?
In order to return a value from a VB.NET function one can assign a value to the "Functions Name" or use "return value."
I sometimes see these inter-mixed in the same function. Personally, I prefer the return.
My question is, what is the internal difference, if any, between the two?
I'm fairly new to OOP in PHP, I've made a couple of basic scripts but nothing impressive. All I've really taken from it is that it would probably be easier just make a collection of functions and include them.
The structure of classes seems to just confuse what was otherwise a simple process. And in collating everything into a class it doesn't really add any functionality.
So I'm clearly missing something. Could someone explain what functionality is added by creating classes
So whenever I write code I always think about the performance implications. I've often wondered, what is the "cost" of using a memcopy relative to other functions in terms of performance?
For example, I may be writing a sequence of numbers to a static buffer and concentrate on a frame within the buffer, in order to keep the frame once I get to the end of the buffer, I might memcopy all of it to the beginning OR I can implement an algorithm to amortize the computation.
Is it possible to control the standard streams of C++ code in python? So the code is wrapped with SWIG and then exposed to python where I call its functions.
I am getting all kinds of unwanted messages coming from C++ code and I want to suppress them either by not using the stream or by redirecting it to a bit bucket.
What's the best way to approach using Mercurial (HG) programmatically from C#?
I will be creating HG repositories, committing, and using other default HG functions. Are there are open-source .NET libraries that would allow me to do this?
Thanks in advance.
I have a device which would be interface with my processor through pcie. I have written driver for it using the existing pci file operations.
Now my problem is how do I access it from user space programs? PCI File operations do not have IOCTL support and hence I cant make an ioctl call unlike other char devices. I cannot use pci_config_read_byte etc. functions as they are meant for kernel space(included in linux/pci.h).
I am trying to implement a windows service that will ping a FTP site and copy its contents once in every 3 hours.
This service has functions to
List all files in the FTP site
Copy one file
Delete the copied file
Repeats step 2 and 3 for all files in the site
I am trying to find the most used Network card on windows 200 or XP. I planned to obtain the number of packets sent trough each NIC to determine the main NIC.
I thought IP Helper might give me this information but also it looks like the functions in IP helper only give stats for all interfaces. I know this can be done. Any ideas?
Many Thanks...
Here are the GDI functions Chord() provided by MFC:
BOOL Chord( int x1, int y1, int x2, int y2, int x3, int y3, int x4, int y4 );
BOOL Chord( LPCRECT lpRect, POINT ptStart, POINT ptEnd );
It seems to me that no such method is privided by GDI+ (the Graphics class), so how do I implement my own Chord function (with the exact same prototype) ?
By the way, I just don't understand why does MS just don't provide them.
Thanks.
During compilation and linking.....what is use of .exp and what is the difference between .lib and .dll . I know that .lib will be used while linking and .dll will be used when running the program... but what exactly is the difference between .lib and .dll does .lib contain the code for the functions comming from .dll? please clarify me... thanks inadvance
We use for or foreach to loop through collections and process each entries.
Is there any alternative in all those new lambda functions for collections in C#?
Traditional way of doing
foreach(var v in vs)
{
Console.write(v);
}
Is there anything like?
vs.foreach(v => console.write(v))
Using MySQL, I can do something like
select hobbies from peoples_hobbies where person_id = 5;
and get:
shopping
fishing
coding
but instead I just want 1 row, 1 col:
shopping, fishing, coding
The reason is that I'm selecting multiple values from multiple tables, and after all the joins I've got a lot more rows than I'd like.
I've looked for a function on MySQL Doc and it doesn't look like the CONCAT or CONCAT_WS functions accept result sets, so does anyone here know how to do this?
I am using the Android NDK to make an application primarily in C for performance reasons, but it appears that file operations such as fopen do not work correctly in Android. Whenever I try to use these functions, the application crashes.
How do I create/write to a file with the Android NDK?
I need to write AVL-tree with generic type in C. The best way I know is to use [ void* ] and to write some functions for creating, copying, assignment and destruction. Please, tell me some better way.
I apologize if this is a subjective or repeated question. It's sort of awkward to search for, so I wasn't sure what terms to include.
What I'd like to know is what the basic foundation tools/functions are in C when you don't include standard libraries like stdio and stdlib.
What could I do if there's no printf(), fopen(), etc?
Also, are those libraries technically part of the "C" language, or are they just very useful and effectively essential libraries?
Hey,
I have a Handler object that functions kind of like a service. It has a public init method defined in the Implementation but not the Interface. This Handler is also being autowired via Spring. How does the init method get invoked? Is it via Spring or does Tomcat call this?
