  • Android Webview : Display numberpad?

    Hi all, I implemented a WebView in my android app displaying a web form. One of the fields ask for the user to manually enter his phone number (in case the phone does not allow extracting of phone number). Right now, the qwerty soft keyboard pops up when user selects the field. Is there a way I can have the numberpad display instead? (Remember I'm using HTML and not native controls) Thanks! Shaun

    In both Haskell and OCaml, it's possible to call into the language from C programs. How feasible would it be to create Native applications for either Windows, Mac, or Linux which made extensive use of this technique? (I know that there are GUI libraries like wxHaskell, but suppose one wanted to just have a portion of your application logic in the foreign language.) Or is this a terrible idea?

  • Universal iPad App rejected because of launch crash that I can't reproduce

After one week of waiting my universal iPad app has been rejected because "is crashing on launch on iPad running iPhone OS 3.2 and iPhone 3GS running iPhone OS 3.1.3 and Mac OS X 10.6.2." Unfortunately I can't replicate the problem, I've tested in debug and release modes and the app works just fine. I even created an ad-hoc configuration and test it in other devices and everything works fine.   • App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

    My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else? C# provides lot of features, and is the ideal language for my code, so writing in C++ again the whole codebase is out of question. Secure certificates can be easily removed from the signed assemblies in .NET
