  i have a directory with around 1000 files....i want to run a same code for each of these file... my code requires the file name to be inputted. i have written code to copy the information of one into other in other format... please suggest a method to copy all 1000 files one by one without need to change the file name every time and i have a field serial_num which need to be continous i.e if 1st file has upto 30 then while coping other file it should continue from 30not from 0 again require suggestion please thanks..

• Build multiple sources into multiple targets in a directory

  folks. I'm learning about GNU-Make and I have the following project structure: ~/projects /sysCalls ex1.c ex2.c ex3.c ex4.c ex5.c ex6.c ex7.c Each .c source is very simple, has its own main function and must be built into a corresponding binary (preferably named after its source). But I want to build into a bin directory (added to my .gitignore file). My current Makefile is: CC := gcc CFLAGS := -Wall -g SRC := $(wildcard *.c) TARGET := $(SRC:.c=) all: bin $(TARGET) mv $(TARGET) bin/ bin: mkdir bin clean: rm -fr bin/ It works as expected, but always builds every source. And I don't like moving everything to bin "manually". Any tips or ideas on how this Makefile could be improved?

• Jetty: Mount to a directory on a different host

  I'm looking to map to a directory on a different host using Jetty/Maven when working locally. I've found you can do this w/ Apache using mod_jk (JkMount/JkUnMount), but haven't figured it how to do the same on jetty. On our dev/q/live servers, we have Apache in front of JBoss and use mod_jk to do this. Locally, we're using jetty To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, this is how you would configure Apache to accomplish this: in httpd.conf: JkMount /images/* host2 JkMount /* host2 JkUnMount /images/* host1 workers.properties: worker.list=host2,host1 worker.host2.host=host-2.theDomain.com worker.host2.port=46654 worker.host1.host=host-1.theDomain.com worker.host1.port=46655 Is there a way to configure Jetty to do the same thing? Btw, locally, I'm using the Maven plugin for Eclipse if that makes a difference. thanks!

• Program not running from expected directory?

  I am working on a web-based program, using Java. I am not sure exactly how to phrase this, but I expect the program to be running from within the c:/Resin/webapps/apps directory. However, when I reference a file in the program like this: "../files/randomfile.pdf", it cannot find that file. It works when I reference it like this: "c:/Resin/webapps/files/randomfile.pdf". How to I change the "running location"? (And what is the technical term for this?)

By "merge" I mean I want all files and folder that are unique to structure b to be moved into structure a. When I try to do this using svn move I get the error svn: Path 'com' already exists The folders look like this: src -> com -> (many more files and directories) -> java -> com -> (some files and folders, some folders overlap but all files are unique) src\com is a and src\java\com is b.

Suppose it's stored in public/flash, there must be a better way to path to the swf than what I've done below.   I created an EC2 instance (Ubuntu 64 bit) and attached a volume from a publicly available snapshot to the instance. I successfully mounted the volume. I am supposed to be able to run a script from this attached volume using the following steps as explained in the tutorial: Log in to your virtual machine. mkdir /space mount /dev/sdf1 /space cd /space ./setup-script The problem is that, when I try: ./setup-script I got the following message: -bash: ./setup-script: No such file or directory What is the problem ? How can I search for the ./setup-script in the whole machine ? I'm not very familiar with linux system. Please, help. • Asp.net MVC/Silverlight and Sharepoint 2010 integration

  Just a sidenote: I'm not sure whether I should post this to serverfault as well, because some MOSS admin may have some info for me as well? Additional note 1: I've found this document (Asp.net MVC 2 & Sharepoint integration) if anybody with sufficient expirience is willing to comment on its content whether this can be used in my described scenario or not. Additional note 2: I've discovered (later) that Silverlight is supported in Sharepoint 2010 so I'm considering it as well. So if anyone would comment on silverlight integration as well. A bit of explanation first (without Asp.net MVC/Silverlight) Is it possible to integrate the two? Is it possible to write an application that would share at least credential information with MOSS? I have to write a MOSS application that has to do with these technologies: MOSS 2010 Personal client certificates authentication (most probably on USB keys) Active Directory Federation Services Separate SQL DB that would serve application specific data (separate as not being part of MOSS DB) How should it work? Users should authenticate using personal certificates into MOSS 2010 There would be a certain part of MOSS that would be related to my custom application This application should only authorize certain users via AD FS - I guess these users should have a certain security claim attached to them This application should manage users (that have access to this app) with additional (app specific) security claims related to this application (as additional application level authorization rights for individual application parts) This application should use custom SQL 2008 DB heavily with its own data This application should have the possibility to integrate with external systems as well (Exchange for instance to inject calendar entries, ERP systems etc) This application should be able to export its data (from its DB) to files. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice if the app could add these files to MOSS and attach authorization info to them so only users with sufficient rights would be able to view/open these files. Why Asp.net MVC/Silverlight then? I'm very well versed in Asp.net MVC (also with the latest version) and I haven't done anything on Sharepoint since version 2003 (which doesn't do me no good or prepare me for the latest version in any way shape or form). This project will most probably be a death march project so I would rather write my application as a UI rich Asp.net MVC application and somehow integrate it into MOSS. But not only via a link, because I would like to at least share credentials, so users wouldn't need to re-login when accessing my app. Using Asp.net MVC I would at least have the possibility to finish on time or be less death marching. Is this at all possible? I haven't done any serious project using SIlverlight, but I will sooner or later have to. So I'm also considering a jump into it at this moment, because it still might make this application development easier than strict Sharepoint 2010. Questions Is it possible to integrate Asp.net MVC/Silverlight into MOSS as described above? If integration is not possible, would it be possible to create a completely MOSS based application that would work as described? Which parts of MOSS 2010 should I use to accomplish what I need?

• Java Robot key activity seems to stop working while certain software is running

  I'm writing a Java application to automate character actions in an online game overnight (specifically, it catches fish in Final Fantasy XI). The app makes heavy use of java's Robot class both for emulating user keyboard input and for detecting color changes on certain parts of the screen. It also uses multithreading and a swing GUI. The application seems to work perfectly when I test it without the game running, just using screenshots to trigger the apps responses into notepad. But for some reason, when I actually launch FFXI and start the program, all of my keyboard and mouse manipulations just stop working altogether. The program is still running, and the Robot class is still able to read pixel colors. But Robot.keyPress, Robot.keyRelease, Robot.mouseMove, Robot.mousePress and Robot.mouseRelease all do nothing. It's the strangest thing-- to test it, I wrote a simple loop that just keeps typing letters, and focused notepad. I'd then start the game, refocus notepad, and it would do nothing. Then I'd exit the game, and it'd start working again immediately. Has anyone else come across something like this, where specific software will stop certain functions of java from working? Also, to make this more interesting-- Last year I wrote a very similar program using the same classes and programming techniques to automate healing a party in the game as they fight. Last year, this program worked perfectly. After running into these problems I dug up that old program, ran it without making any changes, and found that it too was having the same problems. The only differences between now and when it was working: I was running Windows Vista and now I'm running Windows 7, and several new Java versions as well as FFXI versions have been released. • Versions. "Is not a working copy"

  A little background first: I'm a designer/developer and decided to use subversion for a personal project. I'm the only one working on this project. I've setup a Beanstalk account and installed Versions on Mac. Locally I have MySQL and PHP running through MAMP. What I want to do is develop locally and push code into Beanstalk. I'm not planning on deploying from Beanstalk to my live server at this moment. In Beanstalk I created a repository and imported all my code. I then installed Versions and added a bookmark to the Beanstalk repository. So far so good. Next I guess (this is a wild guess) I need to add a so called 'working copy bookmark' so that Versions can watch my local copy for changes and commit it to my Beanstalk repository. Problem: When I click 'Create working copy bookmark' in Versions and I select a folder on my computer I get the error: '/Applications/MAMP/www_mydomain' is not a working copy' I have no clue what that means and now I'm stuck. How can I tell Versions to keep track of changes of a local folder?

• grailsui plugin for accordion not working

  Hi! I have been trying to figure out what's wrong with grailsui accordion. I have checked out the sample source files (http://guidemo.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/) from different ui tags, like menu, datatable and etc. they are working fine but the accordion is not working properly. All i can see is all of the divs shown. the panels are not moving since they are already shown. I've also followed the screencast for it. I've used the yui-skin-sam class name and I've downloaded the grails plugins.grails-ui=1.2-SNAPSHOT. I am not sure what's wrong.I used the rich-ui plugin and it is working great. But there are still features that are not in rich-ui compared to the possible configurations for the grails-ui tags. Anyway. if you have any suggestions to what js library I may use for a grails application or if you have a working grails-ui accordion sample, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.   Hi Everybody, I am trying to use Facebook connect in my application, but its not working as I desire. When I am trying to use the API Key and the API SecretKey of my application which I have registered with the facebook its not working. I have downloaded the code for the facebook. In the SessionViewController.m file when I pass my key values its not working. What I am trying to achieve is, when the app launches the first page is the Facebook Login Page. The user enters his username and password and then the next view should display. But nothing is happening, even the label doesn't display the username. • Android debug mode not working waiting for device

  I'm trying to get my android phone working to run apps from inside an IDE. Got it working on windows no problem, currently working in fedora (18) a lot though so wanted to get it working with that. Got IntelliJ and android sdk installed, problem is when I try to run the default hello world app it wont work it just says waiting for device.. Ran adb devices got List of devices attached ???????????? no permissions Leads me to believe the driver isn't installed? Phone I'm using is a HTC Sensation. Does anyone know what I can do to try and resolve it? The HTC web page doesn't offer me drivers to install. Also noticed in /etc/udev/rules.d/..android.rules there is nothing about Sensation. Seems it recognises my nexus 7 though.. Edit: Tried my nexus.. got List of devices attached 901839238298923 offline So it doesn't even work with that.. confusing.. Any help would be appreciated. • Why did my RWA Computers gadget stop working?

  Our company has SBS 2011 and the "Computers" gadget in Remote Web Access has suddenly stopped working. The below error appears in place of the list of computers: "There was a problem loading a gadget. Contact the person who manages your server." There hasn't been any recent changes to the server that I know of. Also, when I go to SBS standard console and go to properties of a user to view the list of computers the user has access to it says "querying..." instead of a list of computers. Any troubleshooting tips? Can't seem to figure out what is going on. I've tried restarting the server and poking around in the event logs and I couldn't find anything wrong. Update 1: I came across another error when viewing properties for a user through the SBS standard console. "There is no such object on the server."

It has been working fine for ages, and now suddenly has this error in Firefox: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to localhost.   I have been using a Proxmox VE 2.0 cluster (2 servers) for months. Today, I had the "bright idea" to install a GUI on one of the servers. I used tasksel, and selected the graphical desktop environment (Gnome). When I rebooted the server, neither of the servers on the cluster could see each other (shows a red light by the server on the sidebar, no statistics). The VMs on each server are working fine, individually. pvecm status on the broken server shows cman_tool: cannot open connection to cman, is it running ?. Running it on the other server outputs a lot of lines (here: http://pastebin.com/HpQfUHTU), but I assume the important bit is expected votes:2 total votes: 1 Trying pvecm delnode (othernode) on either server outputs: cluster not ready - no quorum? Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!

• Microphone not working in Windows Virtual PC (on Windows 7)

  I"m using Windows Virtual PC on Windows 7 (host) running Windows XP (as the Guest O/S) I'm trying to get the Microphone working. When I Enable Integration Features: Microphone does not work When I run the Sound Recorder, the record button is disabled. If I look at Sound settings, there are no options for the Mic (it's all disabled "grayed out"). Speakers work Copy & Paste works When I Disable Integration Features: Microphone and speakers work Copy and Paste does not (as expected) Drag'n Drop copying does not work in either situation. What I've Tried Verified that the Windows XP Mode Virtual PC guest also has the same symptoms (Mic doesn't work) and audio out (speakers) do work. I"m going to try (but have little hope) to: -Uninstall and Reinstall the Integration addin for Virtual PC

• IIS 7.5 Custom HTTP Response Headers Not Working

  Trying to setup custom HTTP Response Headers on a new install of IIS7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and they are not working. Default headers work fine (X-Powered-By, etc...). Modifying default header values work (ie. change X-Powered-By to ASP.NET2). Modifying default header names cause header to stop being output (ie. Change X-Powered-By to X-Powered-By2). Site in question is a test site with a single html page. Custom headers also don't work on ASP.NET 2.0 site. I've tried setting the headers at the global level and at the site level to no effect.

• Toshiba Portege M400 screen rotation not working under Windows 7 x64

  I have installed Windows 7 on my Toshiba Portege M400. This in itself was relatively tricky.* However, the button utilities aren't quite working for me. One of the buttons tries to launch the Toshiba Assist program, which doesn't appear to be available under Windows 7 for the M400, but this I can live without. More important is that the screen won't rotate as it is supposed to when you hold the "cancel" (X in a circle) button on the bezel. The PC is set to run "C:\Program Files (x860\Toshiba\Toshiba Rotation Utility\phtrot.exe". There is a "trot.exe" file in the same directory (the former appears to be to cause slightly different behaviour when rotation is done by press and hold). Neither of these programs rotates the screen either by using the buttons or from the command line. The screen is rotating normally when switching from tablet to laptop mode, so there does not appear to be an inherent problem with rotation. I'd just like to be able to use the buttons on the side of the screen to change the screen orientation. Windows XP used to have a "setrot" utility to do this, but that seems to have gone in Windows 7 Thanks for your help. *Just in case anyone comes looking for how to do this, you need to extract driver files from http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/util_raid_os2007252a.exe, which does not seem to be listed among the available files for the m400. This executable contains the SATA interface drivers that will need to be loaded by the installer before it can see your hard disk drive. It needs to be unpacked and the files copied to a USB key which they can then be loaded from in the install process. The utilities etc. for installation post windows install are all available from the Toshiba USA support website.

  On a Windows Server 2012 box, I'm using PS to create a new IIS User (for automated deployments using MSDeploy). The command itself appears to work fine -- the user is created -- but as soon as I exit my PowerShell session (typing exit or just closing the command window), a dialog is displayed stating "powershell has stopped working", with the following details: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: PowerShell NameOfExe: powershell.exe FileVersionOfSystemManagementAutomation: 6.2.9200.16628 InnermostExceptionType: Runtime.InteropServices.InvalidComObject OutermostExceptionType: Runtime.InteropServices.InvalidComObject DeepestPowerShellFrame: unknown DeepestFrame: System.StubHelpers.StubHelpers.GetCOMIPFromRCW ThreadName: unknown OS Version: 6.2.9200.2.0.0.400.8 Locale ID: 1033 The PS commands in question are: [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("Microsoft.Web.Management") [Microsoft.Web.Management.Server.ManagementAuthentication]::CreateUser("Foo", "Bar") Why is this happening and how can I avoid it? EDIT: I've also confirmed this be a problem with PowerShell 4.0, so I've added that tag. I've also submitted it on Connect. UPDATE: It appears that Windows Server 2012 R2 does not have this same bug.

I am not able to take RDP session. Its giving error.. Local Security authority failed to connect... I see Event ID 56 ..Source Termdd When I given access to Windows 2003 it working fine.. • Exchange Transport Service Started but not working

  Good day, Here is the problem : We are hosting a Microsoft Exchange Server. Everything working fine until recently, where the mail transport seems to go wrong. We almost have to restart the service every morning. The thing is that the transport service is started, but the mail are not delivered to the users and senders to our server get a delayed delivery notification. When we restart the service, all the mail is then delivered to the users and we're good to go for a day or two. Things I've noticed : The store service is growing to around 6 Gb of used RAM, and the w3wp.exe service is hanging around 700mb RAM. Is there a way to schedule a restart of the transport role every 4 hours or something while I'm solving the issue so I don't have to worry when I leave for the week-end? And most of all...does anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue? Thanks, Philippe

  Hi, History of problem: I formated computer (HP Pavalion Desktop). When I restart computer - computer come to first screen before boot and not response to any signals (f2, f10, ESC, etc..) I take out motherboad battery return after time back and power computer - result : as before I disconnect wires of hard-disk and insert livecd UBUNTU to cd and power coputer: result: works without hard-disk. What is the root of problem: hard-disk broken? hard-disk wires not working well? BIOS? other reason How can I fix the problem?(Buy new hard disk etc...) Thanks, Yosef

  I reboot my server and suddenly the PHP-FastCGI stop working . I try to do - /etc/init.d/php-fastcgi restart Also i try to restart my Nginx : /etc/init.d/php-fastcgi restart How can i turn on my PHP again ?? My server run - Ubuntu 11.10 Nginx 1.2.3 MySQL PHP-FastCGI Also i want to ask it is possible that i have 2 Nginx installs on my server and they run in the same time ? when i check the Nginx version in the console its says that the version is 1.2.3 And when i go to my site i see - 502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.0.5 How can i fix this ?
