  • Sharepoint xsl ddwrt FormatDateTime issue

    - by mahumba
I use the ddwrt:FormatDateTime function to format the output like yyyyMMdd. inputs like 01/01/2010 work fine but when the day gets over the number 12 the output is an emtpy string. ddwrt:FormatDate(string(@myDate), 1033, 'yyyyMMdd') At first I thought it could be a language specific problem but even none of those combinations work: 13/01/2010 01/13/2010 13.01.2010

  • Working with XML & XSL

    - by gsvirdi
I'm planning to create a news item which uses xml as it's backend and the Display should be like: Date: 08/Mar/2010 ------------------------------ Title     | News ------------------------------ News 4 | Some news News 3 | Some news News 2 | Some news News 1 | Some news ------------------------------ Date: 07/Mar/2010 ------------------------------ Title     | News ------------------------------ News 5 | Some news News 4 | Some news News 3 | Some news News 2 | Some news News 1 | Some news Display should be sorted on Date (descending) Then news items should be sorted on time (descending) Today's news item should be on top, then titles should be sorted-decending (timewise), later will come previous day's news items. I'm not able to come up with the logic of xml which should be used in this case. moreover I'm not able to figure out how should I check "Today's date" in xml's "if" statement. Can I please get some code sample to understand this kinda logic???

  • XSL How to copy identical + add copy with attributes changes

    - by Alex
Hello I need to copy a node and its sub-nodes: first: one identical copy followed by a modified copy with some attributes values changed Here is the extract to change: <Configuration Name="Debug|Win32" OutputDirectory=".\Debug" IntermediateDirectory=".\Debug" ATLMinimizesCRunTimeLibraryUsage="FALSE" CharacterSet="2"> <Tool Name="VCCLCompilerTool" Optimization="0" BasicRuntimeChecks="3" RuntimeLibrary="1" AssemblerListingLocation=".\Debug/" ObjectFile=".\Debug/" ProgramDataBaseFileName=".\Debug/" WarningLevel="4" SuppressStartupBanner="TRUE" DebugInformationFormat="4" CompileAs="0"/> </Configuration> In the second copy I need to change all "Debug" to "Release" and some attribute values also. • problem with image urls in htmlhelp created by docbook xsl

    - by newenglander
I have a Docbook XML document that has some images with special characters in their names (German umlauts). I'm using Saxon 6.5.5 and the Docbook xslt Stylesheets to create HTMLHelp files based on that document. Unfortunately the filenames are then url-encoded (% and hexadecimal code), which internet explorer can't deal with (with firefox it works). I looked for a parameter which could change this feature, but couldn't find any. I also tried to save my image files using the encoded names, but this didn't work either. Does anyone know a good way around this, or will I have to simply forbid special characters in my image names?

  • What is the scope of xsl apply-imports?

    - by calavera.info
My original idea about apply-imports was that if there are two templates which matches the same node, then using apply-imports in a template with higher priority runs the template with the lower priority. But I recently find out that it's important how are imports organized. Two cases interests me particularly. Will apply imports work on a template which is imported in imported file (nested import)? How about a "sibling import" (master file imports two files with templates matching the same nodes) It seems to me that this is not clearly described in specification. Could someone provide authoritative guidelines? EDIT: I can try those cases on my own, but there is always a danger that it will be implementation specific behavior.

  • Exclude first child with XSL-T

    - by zneak
Hello, What I'm trying to do is fairly simple, but I can't find the way to. I just want to iterate over the children of a node excluding the first child. For instance, in this XML snippet, I would want all the <bar> elements, except the first one: <foo> <Bar>Example</Bar> <Bar>This is an example</Bar> <Bar>Another example</Bar> <Bar>Bar</Bar> </foo> There is no common attribute by which I can filter (like an id tag or something similar). Any suggestions?

  • Removing elements using XSLT 1.0

    - by pmdarrow
    I'm attempting to remove Component elements from the XML below that have File children with the extension "config." I've managed to do this part, but I also need to remove the matching ComponentRef elements that have the same IDs as these Components. <Fragment> <DirectoryRef Id="MyWebsite"> <Component Id="Comp1"> <File Source="Web.config" /> </Component> <Component Id="Comp2"> <File Source="Default.aspx" /> </Component> </DirectoryRef> </Fragment> <Fragment> <ComponentGroup Id="MyWebsite"> <ComponentRef Id="Comp1" /> <ComponentRef Id="Comp2" /> </ComponentGroup> </Fragment> Based on other SO answers, I've come up with the following XSLT to remove these Component elements: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" /> <xsl:template match="Component[File[substring(@Source, string-length(@Source)- string-length('config') + 1) = 'config']]" /> <xsl:template match="@*|node()"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Unfortunately, this doesn't remove the matching ComponentRef elements. The XSLT will remove the component with the Id "Comp1" but not the ComponentRef with Id "Comp1". How do I achieve this using XSLT 1.0?

  • XSL Transform SVG to VML

    - by kzh
I don't know anything about VML except that Internet Explorer and other Microsoft products use it and that it is a vector graphics format. Can one use XSLT to transform an SVG document to VML? Or are they too different from one another to make this possible? I know that there exist XSLT documents to transform SVG to XAML.

  • Interesting XSL Dilemma

    - by bobber205
I've got this issue. A template called "checkbox" that's called from while inside a table HTML element and also outside of it. To solve an issue, I've added tags to "checkbox" input control. Here's what I'd like to do to but I'm not sure if it's possible or not. When I hit my "row" (part of the custom table markup) template, I would set some variable or pass some parameter, that for each template applied afterwards, would know it was in a "row" and do something special based on this information. I know I can't add parameters to apply-templates. I may be able to add a row "mode" but I can't make changes to each template and have one copy with the mod parameter and one without. Thanks for any suggestions. I know the ideal solution would to be to make changes to the XML but I'm not sure if I can do that as this point. That's a "content" issue. :P Thanks!

  • XSLT Document function returns empty result on Maven POM

    - by user328618
Greetings! I want to extract some properties from different Maven POMs in a XSLT via the document function. The script itself works fine but the document function returns an empty result for the POM as long as I have the xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" in the project tag. If I remove it, everything works fine. Any idea how the make this work while leaving the xmlns attribute where it belongs or why this doesn't work with the attribute in place? Here comes the relevant portion of my XSLT: <xsl:template match="abcs"> <xsl:variable name="artifactCoordinate" select="abc"/> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="document(concat($artifactCoordinate,'-pom.xml'))"> <abc> <ID><xsl:value-of select="$artifactCoordinate"/></ID> <xsl:copy-of select="document(concat($artifactCoordinate,'-pom.xml'))/project/properties"/> </abc> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <xsl:message terminate="yes"> Transformation failed: POM "<xsl:value-of select="concat($artifactCoordinate,'-pom.xml')"/>" doesn't exist. </xsl:message> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> And, for completeness, a POM extract with the "bad" attribute: <project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/maven-v4_0_0.xsd"> <modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion> <!-- ... --> <properties> <proalpha.version>[5.2a]</proalpha.version> <proalpha.openedge.version>[10.1B]</proalpha.openedge.version> <proalpha.optimierer.version>[1.1]</proalpha.optimierer.version> <proalpha.sonic.version>[7.6.1]</proalpha.sonic.version> </properties> </project>

  • Restructure XML nodes using XSLT

    - by Brian
    Looking to use XSLT to transform my XML. The sample XML is as follows: <root> <info> <firstname>Bob</firstname> <lastname>Joe</lastname> </info> <notes> <note>text1</note> <note>text2</note> </notes> <othernotes> <note>text3</note> <note>text4</note> </othernotes> I'm looking to extract all "note" elements, and have them under a parent node "notes". The result I'm looking for is as follows: <root> <info> <firstname>Bob</firstname> <lastname>Joe</lastname> </info> <notes> <note>text1</note> <note>text2</note> <note>text3</note> <note>text4</note> </notes> </root> The XSLT I attempted to use is allowing me to extract all my "note", however, I can't figure out how I can wrap them back within a "notes" node. Here's the XSLT I'm using: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:output omit-xml-declaration="yes" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="notes|othernotes"> <xsl:apply-templates select="note"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="*"> <xsl:copy><xsl:apply-templates/></xsl:copy> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> The result I'm getting with the above XSLT is: <root> <info> <firstname>Bob</firstname> <lastname>Joe</lastname> </info> <note>text1</note> <note>text2</note> <note>text3</note> <note>text4</note> </root> Thanks

Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum. </p> The sense consists in dividing "long" words with spaces. To put space after each letter in such word. Then it is necessary to conclude this word in a tag with a class "spaced". The word is considered "long" if the quantity of letters in this word is more 10 (for example. It is possible to set any value). How to solve this problem means xslt?

Hi,i have a small problem i have xome xml with a cdata section. This CDATA section contains fragments of HTMl. I would like to extract some of the data inside this CDATA element. Right now i have a XSLT transformation that outputs the rest of the document as HTMl, but i need only a small part of the CDATA HTML, not the entire part - e.g. a my Title tag. How to do this?
