I have written the below code using perl module HTML::HTMLDoc to create a pdf file using saved html file. The images are of size width 1048 and hight 266 but when creating a pdf file the images are not shown completly from the right side. #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; use HTML::HTMLDoc; my $filename = shift; my $htmldoc = new HTML::HTMLDoc(); $htmldoc->set_input_file($filename); $htmldoc->no_links(); $htmldoc->landscape(); $htmldoc->set_jpeg_compression('50'); $htmldoc->best_image_quality(); $htmldoc->color_on(); $htmldoc->set_right_margin('1', 'mm'); $htmldoc->set_left_margin('1', 'mm'); $htmldoc->set_bodycolor('#FFFFFF'); $htmldoc->set_browserwidth('1000'); my $pdf = $htmldoc->generate_pdf(); print $pdf->to_string(); $pdf->to_file('foo.pdf'); I need help on following items: 1) How to display the complete image on page. 2) How to set a link on html page to create pdf file with the contents on the current page. Any help with the perl code would be really appreciated.

  • jquery $.getJSON only works once in internet explorer Help Please!!!

    - by JasperS
    I have a php function which inserts a searchbar into each page on a website. The site checks to see if the user has javascript enabled and if they do it inserts some jquery ajax stuff to link select boxes (instead of using it's fallback onchange="form.submit()"). $.getJSON works perfectly for me in other browsers except in IE, if I do a full page refresh (ctrl+F5) in IE my ajax works flawlessly until I navigate to a new page (or the same page with $PHP_SELF) either by submiting the form or clicking a link the jquery onchange function fires but then jquery throws an error: Webpage error details Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 123 Char: 183 Code: 0 URI: http://~#UNABLE~TO~DISCLOSE#~/jquery-1.4.2.min.js It seems like jquery function $.getJSON() is gone??? This seems to be some kind of caching issue as it happens on the second page load but I think i've go all the caching prevention in place anyways, here's a snipet of the code that ads the jquery functions: if (isset($_SESSION['NO_SCRIPT']) == true && $_SESSION['NO_SCRIPT'] == false) { $html .= '<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">'; $html .= '$.ajaxSetup({ cache: false });'; $html .= '$.ajaxSetup({"error":function(XMLHttpRequest,textStatus, errorThrown) { alert(textStatus); alert(errorThrown); alert(XMLHttpRequest.responseText); }});'; $html .= '</script>'; $html .= '<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">'; $html .= '$(function(){ $("select#searchtype").change(function() { '; $html .= 'alert("change fired!"); '; $html .= '$.getJSON("ajaxgetcategories.php", {id: $(this).val()}, function(j) { '; $html .= 'alert("ajax returned!"); '; $html .= 'var options = \'\'; '; $html .= 'options += \'<option value="0" >--\' + j[0].all + \'--</option>\'; '; $html .= 'for (var i = 0; i < j.length; i++) { options += \'<option value="\' + j[i].id + \'">\' + j[i].name + \'</option>\'; } '; $html .= '$("select#searchcategory").html(options); }) }) }) '; $html .= '</script> '; $html .= '<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> '; $html .= '$(function(){ $("select#searchregion").change(function() { '; $html .= 'alert("change fired!"); '; $html .= '$.getJSON("ajaxgetcountries.php", {id: $(this).val()}, function(j) { '; $html .= 'alert("ajax returned!"); '; $html .= 'var options = \'\'; '; $html .= 'options += \'<option value="0" >--\' + j[0].all + \'--</option>\'; '; $html .= 'for (var i = 0; i < j.length; i++) { options += \'<option value="\' + j[i].id + \'">\' + j[i].name + \'</option>\'; } '; $html .= '$("select#searchcountry").html(options); }) }) }) '; $html .= '</script> '; }; return $html; remember, this is part of a php funtion that inserts a script into the html and sorry if it looks a bit messy, I'm new to PHP and Javascript and I'm a bit untidy too :) Please also remember that this works perfectly in IE on the first visit but after any navigation I get the error. Thanks guys

  • Create Jinja2 macros that put content in separate places

    - by Brian M. Hunt
I want to create a table of contents and endnotes in a Jinja2 template. How can one accomplish these tasks? For example, I want to have a template as follows: {% block toc %} {# ... the ToC goes here ... #} {% endblock %} {% include "some other file with content.jnj" %} {% block endnotes %} {# ... the endnotes go here ... #} {% endblock %} Where the some other file with content.jnj has content like this: {% section "One" %} Title information for Section One (may be quite long); goes in Table of Contents ... Content of section One {% section "Two" %} Title information of Section Two (also may be quite long) <a href="#" id="en1">EndNote 1</a> <script type="text/javsacript">...(may be reasonably long) </script> {# ... Everything up to here is included in the EndNote #} Where I say "may be quite/reasonably long" I mean to say that it can't reasonably be put into quotes as an argument to a macro or global function. I'm wondering if there's a pattern for this that may accommodate this, within the framework of Jinja2. My initial thought is to create an extension, so that one can have a block for sections and end-notes, like-so: {% section "One" %} Title information goes here. {% endsection %} {% endnote "one" %} <a href="#">...</a> <script> ... </script> {% endendnote %} Then have global functions (that pass in the Jinja2 Environment): {{ table_of_contents() }} {% include ... %} {{ endnotes() }} However, while this will work for endnotes, I'd presume it requires a second pass by something for the table of contents. Thank you for reading. I'd be much obliged for your thoughts and input. Brian

  • iis7 compress dynamic content from custom handler

    - by Malloc
I am having trouble getting dynamic content coming from a custom handler to be compressed by IIS 7. Our handler spits out json data (Content-Type: application/json; charset=utf-8) and responds to url that looks like: domain.com/example.mal/OperationName?Param1=Val1&Param2=Val2 In IIS 6, all we had to do was put the edit the MetaBase.xml and in the IIsCompressionScheme element make sure that the HcScriptFileExtensions attribute had the custom extension 'mal' included in it. Static and Dynamic compression is turned out at the server and website level. I can confirm that normal .aspx pages are compressed correctly. The only content I cannot have compressed is the content coming from the custom handler. I have tried the following configs with no success: <handlers> <add name="MyJsonService" verb="GET,POST" path="*.mal" type="Library.Web.HttpHandlers.MyJsonServiceHandlerFactory, Library.Web" /> </handlers> <httpCompression> <dynamicTypes> <add mimeType="application/json" enabled="true" /> </dynamicTypes> </httpCompression> _ <httpCompression> <dynamicTypes> <add mimeType="application/*" enabled="true" /> </dynamicTypes> </httpCompression> _ <staticContent> <mimeMap fileExtension=".mal" mimeType="application/json" /> </staticContent> <httpCompression> <dynamicTypes> <add mimeType="application/*" enabled="true" /> </dynamicTypes> </httpCompression> Thanks in advance for the help.

  • jQuery ajax link, returned data includes a from that wont submit

    - by calumogg
Hi everyone, I have a problem with the returned data from a ajax request. Basically when I click on a link it runs a ajax request to load some html into a div, that part is working fine the problem comes when the data has been loaded. Part of the html loaded is a form, this form works fine if I load the page directly but when it is loaded through ajax into the div it wont submit but the rest of the links in the html work fine. Here is the code that requests the remote html data: // Ajax to load image editing page $('a.editpicture').click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); var picture = $(this).attr("id") $.ajax({ url: 'http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/viewpicture/' + picture, success: function(data) { $('#update-picture').html(data); } }); }); This is the form it loads: <form method="post" id="updatepicture" name="updatepicture" action="http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/editpicture"/> <p>Title<input type="text" name="title" id="title" style="input" value="<?php echo $title; ?>"></P> <p>Album<?php echo $albums;?></p> <p>Description<textarea name="description" id="description" cols="50" rows="5"><?php echo $description; ?></textarea></P> <input type="hidden" name="filename" id="filename" value="<?php echo $filename; ?>" /> <input type="button" name="update-submit" id="update-submit" value="Update details" class="button"> Or <input type="button" onClick="location.href='<?php echo base_url(); ?>index.php/members/deletepicture/<?php echo $filename; ?>'" value="Delete picture" class="button"> </form> Any ideas why the form wont submit after being loaded into the div? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Calum

  • Is there a difference between plain text emails, and multipart emails with only plain text?

    - by Brian Armstrong
I'm using Rails to send emails and I just want to send a plain text email (there is no corresponding HTML part). I've noticed that if I just have one file named email.text.plain.erb it actually generates a multipart email with one part (the plain text part) like this: Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=mimepart_4c04a2d34c4bb_690a4e56b0362 --mimepart_4c04a2d34c4bb_690a4e56b0362 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: Quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline text of the email here... --mimepart_4c04a2d34c4bb_690a4e56b0362-- But if I take out the text.plain part and name it email.erb ActionMailer generates a regular plain text email without multipart like this: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 text of the email here... Both work fine most of the time (so this is kind of nitpicky), but I guess my question is whether the second one is more correct. My goal here is just to make sure deliverability is as high as possible across a wide variety of devices and email clients. I've read that plain text emails can have slightly better deliverability rates than html and was just curious if throwing in this multipart (even if it only contained a plain text part) might throw off some of the dumber email clients. Thanks for your help!

  • Question - Setting dynamic HTML using Javascript to iFrames on Windows Mobile 6.1 - IE Mobile6

    - by swaroop
Hi Experts, (excuse me if this is not the right forum to post - i couldn't find anything related to non-native programming and related to this topic) I Am trying to set a dynamic HTML into an iFrame on the webpage. I have tried a couple of things but none of them seem to work. I m able to read the innerHTML but can't seem to update it. // Able to read using document.getElementById('iFrameIdentifier').innerHTML; // On Desktop IE, this code works document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.open(); document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.write(dynamicHTML); document.getElementById('iFrameId').contentWindow.document.close(); Ideally the same function should work as how it works for div's but it says 'Object doesn't support this method or property". I have also tried document.getElementById('iFrameId').document.body.innerHTML. This apparently replaces the whole HTML of the page and not just the innerHTML. I have tried out a couple of things and they didn't work document.getElementById('iFrameId').body.innerHTML document.frames[0].document.body.innerHTML My purpose is to have a container element which can contain dynamic HTML that's set to it. I've been using it well till now when I observed that the setting innerHTML on a div is taking increasing amount of time because of the onClicks or other JS methods that are attached to the anchors and images in the dynamic HTML. Appears the JS methods or the HTML is some how not getting cleaned up properly (memory leak?) Also being discussed - http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/Scripting/JavaScript/Q_26185526.html#a32779090

  • Canonical Link as a Way of Fighting Scrapers?

    - by James D
Hi, Let's say several external sites are scraping/harvesting your content and posting it as their own. Let's also say that you maintain a single unique/permanent URL for each piece of content, so that content aliasing (on your site) is never an issue. Is there any value from an SEO perspective to including a canonical link in your header anyway, such that when your site is "scraped", the canonical indication is injected into whatever site is stealing your content (assuming they harvest the raw HTML rather than going in through RSS etc.)? I've heard different things about the behavior of cross-site canonical links, from "they're ignored" to "behavior undefined" to "it can't hurt" to "sure that's exactly what canonical is intended for". My impression was that canonical was a good way of dealing with intra-site but not necessarily inter-site aliasing. Thanks~

  • CKEDITOR - Is there anyway to prevent formatting code in SOURCE mode?

    - by Lev
I've spent the good portion of my day trying to figure this out, and I figured I'd finally just give in and ask. How can you prevent ANY automatic formatting when in SOURCE mode? I like to edit HTML source code directly instead of using the WYSIWYG interface, but whenever I write new lines, or layout tags how I would indent them, it all gets formatted when I switch to WYSIWYG mode and then back to SOURCE mode again. I stumbled upon this earlier: http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/993 That alluded to a setting which may have existed once upon a time which would be exactly what I'm after. I just want to know how I can completely turn off all automatic formatting when editing in SOURCE mode. After browsing this site for hours on end and finding absolutely nothing on here or on Google, I came up with a solution I thought would be foolproof (albeit not a pleasant one). I learned about the "protectedSource" setting, so I thought, well maybe I can just use that and create an HTML comment tag before all my HTML and another after it and then push a regular expression finding the comment tags into the protectedSource array, but even that (believe it or not) doesn't work. I've tried my expression straight up in the browser outside of CKEDITOR and it is working, but CKEDITOR doesn't protect the code as expected (which I suspect is a bug involving comment tags, since I can get it to work with other strings). In case you are wondering, this is what I had hoped would work as a work-around, but doesn't: config.protectedSource.push( /<!-- src -->[\s\S]*<!-- end src-->/gi ); .. and what I planned on doing (for what appears to be the lack of a setting to disable formatting in SOURCE mode) was to nest all my HTML within the commented tags like this: <!-- src --> <div>some code that shouldn't be messed with (but is)</div> <!-- end src --> I'd love to hear if you anyone has any suggestions for this scenario, or knows of a setting which I have described, or even if someone can just fill me in as to why I can't get protectedSource to work properly with two comment tags. I really thing it's gotta be a bug because I can get so many other expressions to work fine, and I can even protect HTML within the area of a single comment tag, but I simply cannot get HTML within two different comment tags to stay untouched. :( I've wasted about 6-7 hours on this so far today so if anyone can shed any light on it I would be very grateful! Thanks for reading! ;)

  • Does Google submit HTML forms?

    - by Saeed Neamati
I have a web page, say http://domain/purchase and in this page, I have a web form. User, on submitting this form (which has validation, both client-side and server side and won't be validated until fields are filled appropriately), would be redirected to another page, where (s)he can choose other things, and specify other settings and then purchase our product. Say the second page is http://domain/options. So, user comes to our site and visits http://domain/purchase, fills the form, submits it, and then would be redirected to the second page, http://doamin/options?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2, which contains parameters from the first page. This is very common in passing parameters between web pages (or technically, between URLs). Now I was reviewing my website, and saw that Google had indexed some of my redirected web pages and URLs, like: http://domain/options?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2 http://domain/options?parameter1=value3&parameter2=value4 http://domain/options?parameter1=value5&parameter2=value6 http://domain/options?parameter1=value7&parameter2=value8 http://domain/options?parameter1=value9&parameter2=value10 This means that Google Bot has visited our http://domain/purchase page, and has filled our form, and has submitted it, and was being redirected to the other URL, with corresponding parameters. This is the only way that makes sense to me. Does Google really fills forms? PS: All parameters are meaningful, meaning that they are not filled arbitrarily. For example, the phone parameter in indexed pages has correct phone numbers. How is it possible?

  • can JLabel have img tags

    - by Aly
Hi, I am trying to display a JLabel which has a few lines of text and an image as follows: String html = "<html> hello </br> <img src = \"/absolute/path/here\" height = \"30\" width =\"40\"/> </html>"; JLabel l = new JLabel(html); For the image all I get is a broken image, is it possible to nest img tags inside a JLabel? EDIT: I want to add multiple images to the JLabel so I don't think the use of an ImageIcon will do here. Thanks

  • Why doesn't border-radius work properly on text inputs in MobileSafari?

    - by abrahamvegh
Here is a reference HTML document: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <style> body { background-color: #000; } input { -webkit-border-radius: 20px; } </style> </head> <body> <input type="text" value="text" /> </body> </html> The border-radius renders fine on Safari/WebKit-based desktop browsers, but on the "MobileSafari" variant, namely the iPhone and iPad browsers, it renders with this strange box, which destroys the illusion of rounded corners when the input is being displayed on top of a differently-colored background.

  • jQuery - script tags in the HTML are parsed out by jQuery and not executed

    - by Jose Jose
I have an HTML page like so: <html> <body> <div id='something'> ... <script> var x = 'hello world'; </script> ... </div> </body> </html> On another page, I am doing this: $.ajax({ url: 'example.html', type: 'GET', success: function(data) { $('#mydiv').html($(data).find('#something').html()); alert(x); } }); jQuery, however, is not executing the javascript in the first file, even though the documentation says it does. How can I make it do that? EDIT: Unfortunately in the real world application I am working on I don't have control over what the "included" page has. We are on the same domain, but I can't modify the code that it outputs as it is a packaged product our IT department will not let us modify.

  • internet explorer and google chrome rendering issues

hi guys, i'm trying to build a login and main page on dreamweaver for a client and testing them in google chrome and internet explorer but i am running into a lot of unexpected difficulties. the main thing has to be the way the tables are being rendered on the different pages. it seems to appear well on google chrome but when i test the page under internet explorer there have been issues with the way the footer is being rendered. i've included several images showing the problem: login page on IE8 http://i39.tinypic.com/iz9lw3.jpg login page on google chrome http://i44.tinypic.com/1zn0qd2.jpg main page on IE8 http://i41.tinypic.com/2d0gyhf.jpg main page on google chrome http://i42.tinypic.com/2ry58aw.jpg login fail on IE8 http://i40.tinypic.com/2jea9ac.jpg login fail on google chrome http://i43.tinypic.com/sl35h2.jpg please help! i have included the source code below. i spent an entire night trying to figure out what was wrong but to little success. login page: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; • css formatting problems

    - by Davey
    So I wanted to mess around with Sass so I created this tiny incredibly simple little page. For reasons unknown to me when I add a top-margin to #content it effects my wrapper div instead. Any information as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Here is the page live: http://cheapramen.com/omg/ html: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheets/screen.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <title>YO</title> </head> <body> <div id="wrapper"> <div id="content"> <div class="dog"> Bury me with my money </div> </div> </div> </body> </html> Sass html body background-color: #000 padding: 0 margin: 0 height: 100% #wrapper background-color: #fff width: 900px height: 700px margin: 0 auto #content width: 500px margin: 150px 0 0 50px .dog color: #FF3836 font-size: 25px text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000 width: 500px height: 500px -moz-border-radius: 5px -webkit-border-radius: 5px border: 18px solid #FF3836 Css that the Sass spits out html body { background-color: #000; padding: 0; margin: 0; height: 100%; } #wrapper { background-color: #fff; width: 900px; height: 700px; margin: 0 auto; } #content { width: 500px; margin: 150px 0 0 50px; } .dog { color: #FF3836; font-size: 25px; text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000; width: 500px; height: 500px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; border: 18px solid #FF3836; }

  • JLabel not greyed out when disabled, when HTML text displayed

    - by bguiz
How do I get a JLabel displaying a HTML string to appear greyed out (which is the behaviour of JLabels that don't display HTML text)? Is there another way than actually changing the colour myself by modifying the foreground property? JLabel label1 = new JLabel("Normal text"); JLabel label2 = new JLabel("<html>HTML <b>text</b>"); // Both labels are now black in colour label1.setEnabled(false); label2.setEnabled(false); // label1 is greyed out, label2 is still black in colour Thank you very much for all of your responses. From what I gather, it seems that Java doesn't support automatic greying out of JLabels when they use HTML text. Suraj's solution has come closest to the fix considering the limitations. I have however, tried a different out-of-the box approach, where I have put the HTML text JLabels inside of an inner JPanel and did this: mInnerPanel.setEnabled(shouldShow); //shouldShow is a boolean value Which hasn't worked. Any suggestions for this way? EDIT: Added implemented solution.

  • Manually Writing the HTML in TWebBrowser Pt. 2

    - by nomad311
As the name suggests this is a continuation (sort of) of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2784679/manually-writing-the-html-in-twebbrowser This time around I'm trying to add some auto-refresh logic to the HTML I get. I have pieced together an approach from several sources (see below). In short, I am trying to locate the title node and add a meta node after it (in the HTML head node). But, I get an access violation. Here is the source: iHtmlDoc := IHTMLDocument3(WebBrowser1.Document); iHtmlEleTitle := IHTMLElement2(iHtmlDoc.getElementsByName('title').item(0, 0)); iHtmlEle := IHTMLElement2(IHTMLDocument2(iHtmlDoc).createElement(Format('<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="%d">', [1]))); iHtmlEleTitle.insertAdjacentElement('afterEnd', IHTMLElement(iHtmlEle)); And A (technically not functionally) different way of doing it ...casting is slightly different here: IHTMLElement2(IHtmlDocument3(WebBrowser1.Document).getElementsByName('title').item(0, 0)).insertAdjacentElement('afterEnd', IHTMLDocument2(WebBrowser1.Document).createElement(Format('<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="%d">', [VPI_ISSUANCE_AUTO_RELOAD]))); Again all I get from Delphi is a access exception, and I fished through MSDN documentation on it, but now I'm hoping someone out there has gone through the same and has some insight. Any help? • Single Page Navigation w/ Javascript and Back Button

    - by Khan
Ok, so I have a "navigation" div and "content" div. When something on the navigation is clicked, I fade in the content div with the new data. Now, I would like to have the old data returned when the user hits the "back" button on his/her browser, but I'm having a hard time doing this. I know I can set the content to be a named anchor, so they stay on the same page with a breadcrumb trail. However, that's as far as I get. Can I listen for a back button click? Can I set content to display when a certain anchor name is reached? Thanks in advance for your help, SO.

  • How to align text at the top left-hand corner?

    - by OverTheRainbow
I'd like to use stylesheet instead of hard-coding HTML so that text within cells are aligned vertically, ie. text starts at the upper left-hand corner. However, neither of this works: <head> <link rel="STYLESHEET" href="display.css" type="text/css"> <style> td {vertical-align:top; font-size:x-small} td {vertical-align:text-top; font-size:x-small} </style> </head> Does someone know? Thank you. Edit: Problem solved. Turns out the HTML editor I'm using is a bit old and didn't display things as expected, but they do show OK in a modern browser with "vertical-align:top".

  • Can HTML injection be a security issue?

    - by tkbx
I recently came across a website that generates a random adjective, surrounded by a prefix and suffix entered by the user. For example, if the user enters "123" for prefix, and "789" for suffix, it might generate "123Productive789". I've been screwing around with it, and I thought I might try something out: I entered this into the prefix field: <a href="javascript:window.close();">Click</a><hr /> And, sure enough, I was given the link, then an <hr>, then a random adjective. What I'm wondering is, could this be dangerous? There must be many more websites out there that have this issue, are all of them vulnerable to some sort of php injection?

  • Help with Jquery + Masonry Plugin: How to expand/collapse boxes to reveal content

    - by Jam
I'm using the masonry jquery plugin on a project: (http://desandro.com/resources/jquery-masonry) Basically I have a set of boxes (thumbnails) in a grid. When one is clicked, I want it to expand to a larger size to show more content (additional images and text). I'm struggling with how to make the thumbnail dissappear and then have new content appear in the expanded box. I don't know how to make the new content appear or where to store it on my page--and it needs to have a close button? The creator of the plugin gave me a quick tip for the expanding part, but the code I'm using has a set height and width and I want them to be variable depending on how much content is in the expanded state. Here's my jquery code so far: http://pastie.org/1002101 This is a similar example of the behaviour I want to achieve (except my boxes will have have varying expanded sizes): (http://www.learnsomethingeveryday.co.uk) You'll also notice from that example that it only allows 1 box to be expanded at a time--I would also like to have that functionality. Sorry for all the questions--I'm pretty new to jquery, any help would be amazing!

  • Performing text processing on flatpage content to include handling of custom tag

    - by Dzejkob
Hi. I'm using flatpages app in my project to manage some html content. That content will include images, so I've made a ContentImage model allowing user to upload images using admin panel. The user should then be able to include those images in content of the flatpages. He can of course do that by manually typing image url into <img> tag, but that's not what I'm looking for. To make including images more convenient, I'm thinking about something like this: User edits an additional, let's say pre_content field of CustomFlatPage model (I'm using custom flatpage model already) instead of defining <img> tags directly, he uses a custom tag, something like [img=...] where ... is name of the ContentImage instance now the hardest part: before CustomFlatPage is saved, pre_content field is checked for all [img=...] occurences and they are processed like this: ContentImage model is searched if there's image instance with given name and if so, [img=...] is replaced with proper <img> tag. flatpage actual content is filled with processed pre_content and then flatpage is saved (pre_content is leaved unchanged, as edited by user) The part that I can't cope with is text processing. Should I use regular expressions? Apparently they can be slow for large strings. And how to organize logic? I assume it's rather algorithmic question, but I'm not familliar with text processing in Python enough, to do it myself. Can somebody give me any clues?
