Say you have an object, that represents the list of something (articles, pages, accounts etc.) class ObjCollection You have a class, that represents a specific item in collection: class objItem I have a problem thinking of a basic responsibilities of each object. Which class is responsible for creating a new objItem? Which class is responsible for deleting a objItem? Should it delete itself as a method?

    Hello, I'm using this function to determine whether my application should be online or offline: function online() { if ($online == "0") { if($_SESSION['exp_user']['userlevel'] != "1") { include("error/offline.php"); exit(); } } } However, with the data value set to 0 in the database, and $online does = '0', why is error/offline.php not included for those whoose user level is not 1?     The regular expression class (rxregexp.dll) that comes with ooRexx (I'm on 4.0.0) is relatively low on function compared, say, with Python's re module (even at 2.5.2). It appears to have no assertions, no facilities for group extraction, or for substitution. Greedy or lazy matching is a global pattern option, rather than flagged by an additional "?". Basically, a pre-PCRE regular expression engine. Does anyone know if anything with more up-to-date function is available?

    I am retrieving a WindowsIdentity object by calling: win_id = System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent(); with the intention of getting the currently logged on user name, which works fine. WindowsIdentity implements IDisposable, but since I din't create the object myself, do I still need to call .Dispose() on it when I am finished with it or not? Thanks.

  • Writing a function for UIAlertView?

    I'm sick of writing basic UIAlertView's, ie: UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWith...]] //etc Instead of doing this, is it possible to put all this in a "helper" function, where I can return the buttonIndex, or whatever an alert usually returns? For a simple helper function I guess you could feed parameters for the title, message, I'm not sure whether you can pass delegates in a parameter though, or bundle info. In pseudo-code, it could be like this: someValueOrObject = Print_Alert(Title="", Message="", Delegate="", Bundle="") // etc Any help on this would be great. Thanks

I manage to link everything together and to execute but i can't manage to get LLVM to inline a function from the library. Any clue about how this should be done?

  • turn array into object active record can use

    I'm running a query and then decrypting it in the controller. After it is decrypted I was putting the results into an array and sending that to the view. The problem is with this solution I need to rewrite all of my views to parse the arrays sent instead of the active record objects sent before. Is there a way to turn the decrypted array back into an object that will work with existing active record code in the view?     Let's say you have two objects (UITextviews) in your class. When the text view changes, you have a delegate method that catches the change.. but how can you tell programatically WHICH object was changed and called the delegate ?? I have to be missing something, because this should be trivial, but I couldnt find anything. Note: In this case, its not possible to just break up the class to only have one object (there by bypassing ambiguity).. I looked for things like assigned variable names for nsobjects, nothing there
