    I have installed Virtualbox in Ubuntu 12.04, and I created a virtual guest with Windows 7 64bit. Guest additions were also installed. It works fine, but I can't set the resolution to anything higher than 1600 x 1200, whereas my screen is 1920x1080. Here's my system specifications: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz AMD Radeon 7650 VGA 8 Gb RAM DDR3 Moreover, if I try to enhable 3D acceleration in the settings of my guest, when I expand to full screen it aborts...     I'm setting up a custom 403.4 handler so that non-SSL requests to my site are redirected to a different URL - and what I'd like to do is to include the script path and query string in the redirect, so that a user who requests http://www.site.com/foo?bar=1 will be redirected to https://www.site.com/foo?bar=1 I know something similar is possible when configuring a top-level site redirect, using the $S, $Q, %v tokens referred to in this IIS reference page - but this syntax doesn't seem to work when configuring a custom error redirect.

    I understand the 32 bit Vista limit in addressing only 4Gb of memory space but I have a very specific question: I have 3Gb installed on a Vista 32 bit system with a 512Mb video card, MSI X-58 board, Intel i7, 920 CPU. System Information currently shows: Installed Memory: 3.00Gb Available Physical Memory: 1.73 Gb My understanding is that the 512Mb video card occupies memory addresses between 4.0Gb and 3.5Gb and so does not subtract from the 3.0Gb of physical memory (correct my understanding if wrong) My Question: If I install another 1Gb of RAM, will my Available Memory increase to 2.73Gb?     Windows server 2012 installed on a ISCI LUN. Problem noticed after first reboot. Windows boots only if setup DVD is present(i have to ignore "press any key to boot from DVD" prompt). to present the login Screen and everything looks great from here. But the server wont boot without the help of setup DVD. Can any one help me understand what would be the problem? Dell Workstation T3600 Intel Pro NIC (Capable of ISCI Boot and also enabled)

    I'd like to read small text file, located at: /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch without root permissions. It contains information about graphic cards (dedicated ATI Radeon and integrated Intel HD3000). I wrote a simple script displaying infomation I need, but it works only with root privileges. I already tried changing file & folder permissions, but when I restart my computer, the problem remains. Is it possible to permanently change that file permissions or owner?

    I'm looking for a desktop board that supports either VT-D (Intel) or IOMMU (AMD) technology. This is the IO virtualization technology, not VT-x for CPU virtualization. I've found a list of chipsets that are purported to have this, but every board I look at, the vendor has decided to not support that feature. I would really prefer a desktop board over a server board for this. Does anyone have a specific model that is known to support this technology?

    When i upload my rails app via SFTP to production server which is running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS all cyrillic characters in my files look like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/347209/chars.png As you can see, only parts of words are broken. And because of this rails app doesn't start with syntax error. Also i'm getting errors like ActionView::Template::Error (incompatible character encodings: ASCII-8BIT and UTF-8)

    I've bought this laptop "Dell Vostro 3700", having inside an Intel integrated graphic card and an Nvidia GeForce GT330M. Depending on energy saving mode it switches between the two video cards. When I try to update the video driver (now version 189.99 on Windows 7 64-bit) with that found on Nvidia site an error message say that it cannot find compatible graphic hardware. Dell doesn't provide a newer driver version. Has anyone solved the same problem?
