  • Have PL/SQL Outputs in Real Time.

    Is it possible to have Outputs from PL/SQL in real time? I have a pretty huge package that runs for more than an hour and I'd like to see where the package is at a particular time. Anyways, I currently do this with a log table, which gets filled up with hundreds of log descriptions per run, I'm just curious if this is possible. Thanks!

    I feel rather foolish as this is just a short question. I was reading about a bunch of thread management helper classes in .net, specifically one that aids the storage of threads to help a service manager object automatically invoke delegates onto the subscribing thread. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with creating dispatchers. Totally forgotten the name, can't find it :( Anyone know what I'm talking about?

  • Can you return an array from a JAX-WS @WebMethod?

    I'm pretty sure you can, but in addition to answering the question in the title, could you also explain the pros, cons, caveats, if any, to doing so? I know that you can't return a List, Set, Collection, Map, or any interface, from a WebMethod (which is stupid, IMO, but I don't know what the design reasons were should I should probably withhold judgment).     I searched the site but didn't see anything quite matching what I was looking for. I created a stand alone application that uses a web service I created. To run the client I use: c:/scriptsdirecotry "run-client.bat" param1 param2 param3 param4 how would I go about coding this in python or F#. seems like it should be pretty simple but I haven't seen anything online that quite matches what i'm looking for.   • Get individual query parameters from Uri

    I have a uri string like: http://example.com/file?a=1&b=2&c=string%20param Is there an existing function that would convert query parameter string into a dictionary same way as ASP.NET Context.Request does it. I'm writing a console app and not a web-service so there is no Context.Request to parse the URL for me. I know that it's pretty easy to crack the query string myself but I'd rather use a FCL function is if exists.

    Hi, Given the line: Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap(stream); where stream is a System.IO.Stream, are there any limitations on the image file type e.g png, jpg, gif etc that can be handled. i.e are all image file/stream header info clear enough to say "I am an image".   • Testing + production server and syncing MySQL data

    I have a web application running on LAMP with a testing server and a production server. Is there a standard practice for keeping the data on the testing server in sync with the production server? The data on the testing server gets out of date pretty quick and I feel like there must be an easier way than just dumping the production server and copying it onto the testing server every so often. It's not important that the data is in total sync, just that the testing server represents the production enviornment as accurately as possible.

    has anyone find out why FriendFeed advanced search result url doesn't have not search field parameter? some example: contains the words field, when you inputs a text "ok" and push search, then response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok if you also inputs a text into words in the title field, like texts "I'm", response url is http://friendfeed.com/search?q=ok+intitle%3Ai%27m well, pretty beautiful. not like other site response all field even you don't push a text into. anyone know how to make this effect?

    Hi all, A Grails app I'm working on is becoming pretty big, and it would be good to refactor it into several modules, so that we don't have to redeploy the whole thing every time. In your opinion, what is the best practice to split a Grails app in several modules?     Hi, is it legal to remove the logo/terms of use link displayed on my integrated google map (google maps premier)? The problem is that when I zoom into the map, the link tends to get longer and loger and overlays the whole website which is pretty ugly. Of course it is possible to give the div container a "overflow: hidden;" flag which helps a little. But it is still not satisfying. Thx

  • Given this demo, How do I make HTML content area fit to viewport height?

    I just made this demo extracting out what I'm trying to accomplish: Autosize Main Content Area I want the pink/yellow area to act according to these rules: Minimum height is the size of its content (which is variable) IF content size is smaller than viewport size Otherwise minimum height is such that it adjusts to fill the window. Checking out the source to that demo, what am I missing? I feel like this is a pretty easy case that shouldn't require javascript. Any ideas?

In a django view you have to return an HttpResponse object from the view, but sometimes I don't need to return anything.   • UITablevViewCellStyle strange behaviour with detailTextLabel

    I have set my UITableViewCellStyle to be Value2, and it shows the detailTextLabel and textLabel, but instead of the detailTextLabel being the small text to the left of the cell, it is now the primary text in the cell, and the textLabel is the small text. Strange behaviour and i'm not sure why? For now i'm just swapping the values over, but I'm pretty sure its not correct. Anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks

    I'm writing a bunch of scripts that present images serially (e.g. 1 per second) and require the user to make either a keyboard or mouse response. I'm using closures to handle the timing of image presentation and user input. This causes garbage collection to happen pretty frequently and I'm wondering if that will affect the performance (viz. timing of image presentation).
