Hi,
Given a string like String a="- = - - What is your name?";
How to remove the leading equal, dash, space characters, to get the clean text,
"What is your name?"
Thanks.
It is the code:
self.view.backgroundColor= [[UIColor alloc] initWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"yourimage.png"]];
My "yourimage.png" have some space that is transparency. But it shows me it becomes black. How can I change it to show the transparency instead of black color? thz.
In the Java Generic Book, while contrasting the difference between C++ Templates and Java Generic says:
In C++, a problem arises because
without the space denotes the
right-shift operator. Java fixes the
problem by a trick in the grammar.)
What is this trick?
Hi,
I have a text file from which I want to create a Hash for faster access. My text file is of format (space delimited)
author title date popularity
I want to create a hash in which author is the key and the remaining is the value as an array.
created_hash["briggs"] = ["Manup", "Jun,2007", 10]
Thanks in advance.
I've been working in Delphi 7 for the last 6 years now and have learnt to merely submit to the instablity of the IDE. For example, there are particular projects I've inherited which, when working on, I cannot use the CTRL+SPACE dropdown symbol list in the Delphi editor without getting an Access Violation error, this would easily top my list but there are many more. I'd like to know which bugs frustrate you the most.
I'm curious if anyone has done any performance comparisons with any or all of the main players in the .NET ORM space. Specifically I'm interested in comparisons between the following:
Linq to SQL
NHibernate
LLBL Gen
Entity Framework
Though it seems people don't really consider Linq to SQL a true ORM, I am still including it in this list. Some performance metrics would be nice to see.
Hi.....I have a grid control which is bound to a DataTable. Iam facing problem in the display of data. Though each line in DataColumn of grid having enough space yet the data is being wrapped to next subsequent lines. But I need the data to be displayed without wrapping. Is it possible pls help.... thanx :-)
I get the above error when viewing a xml document. The problem seems to be the second ( = ) in the following link.
http://mysite.com/viewpage.php?u=1020&op=new
In the link & is replaced by & amp; without the space.
Any help as to why this is throwing an error would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
I'd like to handle directly 64-bit words on the CUDA platform (eg. uint64_t vars).
I understand, however, that addressing space, registers and the SP architecture are all 32-bit based.
I actually found this to work correctly (on my CUDA cc1.1 card):
__global__ void test64Kernel( uint64_t *word )
{
(*word) <<= 56;
}
but I don't know, for example, how this affects registers usage and the operations per clock cycle count.
I'm not that good with regular expressions...
I need a JavaScript regular expression that will do the following:
The string can contain letters (upper and lower case), but not punctuations such as éàïç...
The string can contain numbers (0..9) anywhere in the string, except on the first position.
The string can contain underscores (_).
Valid strings:
foo
foo1
foo_bar
fooBar
Invalid strings:
1foo -- number as first character
foo bar -- space
föo -- punctuation ö
Many thanks!
I'm working on a project involving some large XML files (from 50MB to over 1GB) and it would be nice if I could view them in eclipse (simple text view is fine) without Java running out of heap space. I've tried tweaking the amount of memory available to the jvm in eclipse.ini but haven't had much success. Any ideas?
I have a font resize function on my page which increases the font size via javascript for the entire page.
This works fine in most browsers except IE. When decreasing the font size after increasing it, the select boxes new height does not decrease, even though the font size is decreasing on it. Instead the smaller font appears to be padded with white space.
Any ideas as to what IE is doing here, and a work around?
When I type some Class, e.g. Console, then press ctrl+space and intellisense show hint "Class System.Console Represents standart input, output and error streams...."
How programmatically get this text. Can't find in google, may be I'm stupid noob.
Thanks.

Basically, I have an application that uses a flip-book style animation technique. I am simply cycling through around 1000 320x480 pngs at 12fps, and everything works really well. Except for the fact that 1000 images takes up a ton of disk space. Ideally I'd like to be able to compress these images as a movie file and pull out each frame as I need them, or simply play back a movie with frame by frame precision.
Ideas?
Coding footer naively, if there's not enough content, then there will be empty space between footer and bottom of page. I would like to get rid of this and move footer to the bottom of the window.
On the other hand when there is more content, I want the content to push the footer down (so position: fixed; bottom: 0; won't do).
How do I achieve this?
I notice these characters are all illegal
#%<>?\/*+|:"
I notice these are encoded (%NN where NN is the hex value) but can be replace without problem
$,;=& @
(note the space which is typically encoded as + (but may be %20))
#%?/+ i understand. But whats do the following characters do? <>\*|":
Note: I understand what : does in the domain part (its the port) as @ is a login but after the first / why is : illegal? (@ isnt)
If I use send() on a non-blocking tcp socket in Linux will it return EAGAIN for anything other than a send buffer full condition?
I basically need to decide if I want to use the socket send buffer as the only buffer for my app or if I need my own user space buffer to feed the socket buffer.
I have an application which is of size 130MB. when i try to install its displaying insufficient memory error. but i have around 170MB left in available space in internal memory. How can i Install this app? The size of the app is large because it contains many media files. In Motorolla droid its getting installed. but on Nexus One its giving this error.
On my previous job, providing all methods with javadoc was mandatory, which resulted in things like this:
/**
* Sets the Frobber.
*
* @param frobber The frobber
*/
public setFrobber(Frobber frobber) { ... }
As you can see, the documentation adds little to the code, but takes up space and work.
Should documenting all methods be mandatory or optional? Is there a rule for which methods to document? What are pros and cons of requiring every method to be documented?
Sometimes when I get an Exception while debugging in Visual Studio, all the code lines in the stack trace belong to the System.. name space. It doesn't display my line of code which was responsible for the exception.
Is there a way to be make the stack trace show more lines or to ignore stack trace from the system namespace? Something like Just-My-Code for stack trace?
How to make a block of memory allocated by malloc() or new:
- immediately swapped out,
- or lazily initialized.
In fact, I'm trying to reserve an address space. How to accomplish this?
I'm running a small web application with SQL server express (2005) as backend. I can create a backup with a SQL script, however, I'd like to schedule this on a daily basis. As extra option (should-have) I'd like to keep only the last X backups (for space-saving reasons obviously) Any pointers?
[edit] SQL server agent is unavailable in SQL server express...
