    If I have a sprite, how would I check collision between two points? For example, in a game I am making, I would like to draw multiple lines that my sprite collides against. I'm thinking that this is more flexible than other collision systems if I had a lot of platforms.

  • Carriage Return\Line feed in Java

    Guys, i have created text file in unix enviroment using java code. For writing the text file i am using java.io.FileWriter and BufferedWriter. and for newline after each row i am using bw.newLine() method. (where bw is object of BufferedWriter ) and sending that text file by attaching in mail from unix environment itself (automated that using unix commands). My issue is, after i download the text file from mail in windows system, if i opened that text file the data's are not properly aligned. newline() character is not working i think so. I want same text file alignment as it is in unix environment, if i opened the text file in windows environment also. How to resolve the problem.Please help ASAP. '\n'); $gemIDs[$i] = $gem->getAttribute('id'); $i++; } fclose($file); For some reason, it's writing \n as a string, so the file looks like this: 40119\n40122\n40120\n42155\n36925\n45881\n42145\n45880 From Google'ing it tells me to use \r\n, but \r is a carriage return which doesn't seem to be what I want to do. I just want the file to look like this: 40119 40122 40120 42155 36925 45881 42145 45880 Thanks.

    Hello, Sometimes I break long conditions in IFs to several lines. The most obvious way to do this is: if (cond1 == 'val1' and cond2 == 'val2' and cond3 == 'val3' and cond4 == 'val4'): do_something Isn't very very appealing visually, because the action blends with the conditions. However, it is the natural way using correct Python indentation of 4 spaces. Edit: By the way, for the moment I'm using: if ( cond1 == 'val1' and cond2 == 'val2' and cond3 == 'val3' and cond4 == 'val4'): do_something Not very pretty, I know :-) Can you recommend an alternative way ?

An example for removing duplicate lines I've seen is: awk 'a !~ $0; {a=$0}' Tried using it for a basis with no luck (I thought changing the $0's to $1's would do the trick, but didn't seem to work).

    So I have a project structure like so: MyProject/ src/ //subfolders and source code ..... tests/ package/ MyTest.php I am trying to run the unit tests in MyTest.php with PHPUnit but it has a use statement for PHP classes located in the src folder. So I tried to use the include-path directive for PHPUnit like so: (I am in the directory with MyTest.php) phpunit --include-path ~/workspace/MyProject/src/ MyTest Unfortunately execution is halting at the first use statement. What gives?

  • Building XCode From Command Line Issues (Updating Entitlements file location)

    The first error is a warning for complier 'com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_0' I don't know if this is okay and I can just not worry about it. The second tells me that my entitlements file is no longer at that location. I know this and I thought I had correctly updated it in Xcode's info window. This project builds fine in Xcode.     I am trying to build a graph that will change resolution depending on how far you are zoomed in. Here is what it looks like when you are complete zoomed out. So this looks good so when I zoom in I get a higher resolution data and my graph looks like this: The problem is when I zoom out the higher resolution data does not get cleared out of the graph: The tables below the graphs are table display what is in the DataTable. What i am looking to do is make the tooltip box a multiline box.     I am using a datagridview on a win app designed in c#2010 express. In the _row leave event of my datagrid I would like to use the TableAdapter.usp_insert() that I created. But how does one match up the data in the cells of the datagridview row to the parameters in the stored procedure. Thanks in advance I appreciate the education. This is what if found so far!     Is there any short way to achieve what APT does in Python ? I mean, when the package manager prompts a yes/no question followed by "[Yes/no]". The scripts accepts YES/Y/yes/y or "enter" (defaults to Yes as hinted by the capital) The only thing I find in the official doc is input/raw_input.. I know it's not that hard to emulate, but it's annoying to rewrite :|

  • Deploying a Web Application from the command line

    Hi. Im looking to deploy a web application on a build server. It is a very small web app and so far i have written a nice little console app that checks out from SVN and then calls msbuild on the .sln file. This of course is not the same as publishing a web app and so far have not found a programatic way of publishing. So my question is this.. After msbuild has run can i simply delete all .cs and .vb files and then deploy? or Should i really try and find a way to publish programatically?
