• Emacs align-regexp on = but not ==

  I am working in Haskell and frequently come across code similar to the following: func i j | i == j = i | otherwise = j I want to align on the '=' character using align-regexp but don't have the elisp knowhow. I have tried just doing " = " without the quotes, but this inserts an unwanted space character before each '='. I have found a proposed solution here but I can't seem to get that to do anything at all. Please help me write a function or hard-coded macro that will allow me to set a keybinding for this.

  I have just stumbled upon Bad Behavior - a plugin for PHP that promises to detect spam and malicious crawlers by preventing them from accessing the site at all. Does something similar exist for ASP.NET/ASP.NET MVC? I am interested in blocking access to the site altogether, not in detecting spam after it was posted.

I've written an app that is very simple in C#. I want this to compile to a stand alone exe file, but I can't seem to find the proper settings to do this. Everything compiles into a publish folder and there is only the setup/install files. Thanks!

  I want to combine two relative paths in C#. For example: string path1 = "/System/Configuration/Panels/Alpha"; string path2 = "Panels/Alpha/Data"; I want to return string result = "/System/Configuration/Panels/Alpha/Data"; I can implement this by splitting the second array and compare it in a for loop but I was wondering if there is something similar to Path.Combine available or if this can be accomplished with regular expressions or Linq?   Having used ViewModels in MVC, I was wondering if applying the same to the MVP pattern is practical. I only have a few considerations, one being that MVP is already fairly hard to implement (with all the additional coding, not much on the seeming complexity) or that ViewModels already have a slightly similar way of modeling data or entities. Would adding another layer in the form of ViewModels be redundant or is it a logical abstraction that I, as one implementing the MVP pattern, should adhere to?

You could call it the client-side equivalent to the SQL Server Sequential ID. Is there a way I could use a similar strategy in my Linq-to-Sql project (by generating the Guid in code)?

  I'm running into the Windows Vista/7 Program Compatibility Assistant problem described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1069135/this-program-might-not-have-installed-correctly-message-in-windows-7-rc The solution (backed-up by similar questions elsewhere, and MSDN), is apparently to add a 'compatibility' section to setup.exe's manifest. InstallShield 10 SP1 does this automatically, but unfortunately I only have InstallShield 2009. How would I go about editing the manifest? Is there a way to do this programmatically, so I can integrate it into my build?

  I have 2 similar queries select * from openquery(powerschool, 'select * from TEACHERS where teachernumber is not null and schoolid=''1050'' and teacherloginid is not null order by teachernumber') and SELECT * from openquery(powerschool, 'SELECT NVL(teachernumber,'''') from TEACHERS where teachernumber is not null and schoolid=''1050'' and teacherloginid is not null order by teachernumber') The first one is giving me 182 rows while the second one gives me 83. What's wrong with the queries?
