    Google App Engine has a great XMPP service built in. One of the few limitations it has is that it doesn't support receiving messages from a group chat. That's the one thing I want to do with it. :( Can I run a 3rd party XMPP/Jabber server on App Engine that supports group chat? If so, which one?

    I am using fancybox for loading a Huge form "1300px" height ( i know it is not something good but the client wants it like this) the problem that it doesn`t cover the whole height i tried autoDimensions $.fancybox.resize with no luck although other parts that uses fancybox is working without a problem so any tips will be great. also i want to know how to load data (a div) from another HTML inside fancybox?

So, is there any Dialog-drawing program which exports WiX-data? (I suppose else-wise perhaps I could transform what Visual Studio's forms editor does to WiX-XML.) /L

    Suppose I have an HTML page with three blocks of fixed width (their height can vary if that's important), like shown on picture: I would like to make it behave as shown on next picture: when browser screen width is reduced so it can't fit all three blocks in one line, first block goes down. Is it possible to achieve such behavior? Preferably with CSS only but any working solution would be great.

    My json string looks like { abc: 123, def: 442, ghi=444 } - say stock list. I dont know what quotes are coming in , i.e I dont know what is abc, def etc is. I need to get this token dynamically. Any pointers would be of great help ! BTW, this has to run in silverlight.

    We are using Subversion for SCC. We have a great deal of our build environment in our repository so that we can check a given version out and rebuild it fairly close to what was in use at that time. We have the following in there now: InnoSetup binaries Third Party Components VCL (including Indy) Our Source (of course) Finalbuilder project files The only thing missing is the binaries for Delphi itself - I am wondering if there is a minimum set of files that can be copied to the repository and run. [assembly: AssemblyCompany("My Company")] [assembly: AssemblyProduct("My Great Application")] [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("9.3.2")] Does anyone know how this might be accomplished? I know I can get the last one using GetFileVersion("path/to/greatapp.exe") is there something similar for the first two?

    Hey i'm using JSON with appengine. I'm using json for comunication, so in the python side i have import json the error i'm getting is this: <class 'django.core.exceptions.ViewDoesNotExist'>: Could not import views.ganttapp. Error was: No module named json In my stand alone this works great, is there any problem with json on the app engine? or should I use another module?     I have a Rsync program Deltacopy with an executable as client and server but would like to replace this if possible with a pure Ruby implementation of Rsync. I found gems like six-rsync and rsync-update but they seem to be no general implementations. I'm looking for a pure Ruby solution, so no executables involved and preferably runnable on multiple OS. If possible a simple sample would be great. I only look for Rsync, no other transfer or backup solutions please.

  • highlight parent window text when spell checking from child window

    I'm working on a simple spell checking app for a lecture that I'm giving. I've got the basic spell checking code working just fine using a child form and NHunspell - great lib, by the way. However, I'd like for the parent textbox to show the highlighted text for reference, and while I'm setting the SelectedText properties accordingly, the text is not highlighted in the parent. Canceling the child window and the parent text is highlighted. Anybody know how I can do this?

    Hi, I have a problem with Latex -- I don't know how to put mathematical equations and symbols in listings. I use --listings-- package and it's offers great looking listings, but it doesn't allow math symbols in $ .. $. Another package --algorithms-- allows math, but listings doesn't look as good as in --listings-- (the problem is that --algorithms-- demands to get new line after every --if--, --then--, etc.) Thanks for reply Michal

    I have created a windows application setup program, it needs to have a text file in the application folder. The file is also included while creating the setup. Once the setup successfully completes and my program tries to modify the file based on user input, its simple throwing an exception. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium OS.     Hi Folks, I have a scenario in which I have 2 Submit Buttons in a form for going back and forward. Both the buttons have different JavaScript associated with it. It is working great if we press these buttons to navigate. But when in Google Chrome, when someone press enter on any of the text box within the Form it does not calls the onClick of the button. Many staff I've encountered have little or no exposure to open source/systems and open source is treated with great suspicion. Some reasons given for this are lack of support and robustness, which is ironic given the number of end-of-life unsupported vendor products that are in production. Bonus points for any success stories where you've seen open source go into orgs like this and have a real benefit!
