  • Hooking into comment_text() to add surrounding tag

    - by Stefan Glase
    Trying to hook into the function comment_text() supplied by Wordpress API to wrap the output of every comment into a <div>...</div> container I am running into the following problem: Without my added filter the output of comment_text() looks like this: <p>Hello User!</p> <p>Thank you for your comment.</p> <p>Stefan</p> Thats fine but as I said I would like to have it wrapped into a <div class="comment-text">...</div>. As far as I know the correct way doing this would be in adding a filter to functions.php of my theme and so I did: function stefan_wrap_comment_text($content) { return "<div class=\"comment-text\">". $content ."</div>"; } add_filter('comment_text', 'stefan_wrap_comment_text'); As I can see from the output the given filter works but it has a negative sideeffect to the first paragraph of the content as you can see in the following example. The first paragraph should be <p>Hello User!</p> but looks like this: Hello User!. <div class="comment-text"> Hello User! <p>Thank you for your comment.</p> <p>Stefan</p> </div> Any ideas or hints what I am doing wrong?

  • wp_get_archives(cat=id) <-- Any way to specifiy cat id in archives?

    - by Matrym
    Does anyone know how to specify an INCLUDE ONLY category using wp_get_archives? I would like to specify a category but then list results by month. I've tried kwebble's plugin to no avail. I've also found the following on WP forums, but it appears to only exclude categories. Perhaps it can be modified to do include? Even given that, I'm not sure how I would call it... Thanks in advance! add_filter( 'getarchives_where', 'customarchives_where' ); add_filter( 'getarchives_join', 'customarchives_join' ); function customarchives_join( $x ) { global $wpdb; return $x . " INNER JOIN $wpdb->term_relationships ON ($wpdb->posts.ID = $wpdb->term_relationships.object_id) INNER JOIN $wpdb->term_taxonomy ON ($wpdb->term_relationships.term_taxonomy_id = $wpdb->term_taxonomy.term_taxonomy_id)"; } function customarchives_where( $x ) { global $wpdb; $exclude = '1'; // category id to exclude return $x . " AND $wpdb->term_taxonomy.taxonomy = 'category' AND $wpdb->term_taxonomy.term_id NOT IN ($exclude)";

  • reCAPTCHA Ajax API + custom theme not working

    I can't see where I'm going wrong. I've tried everything I could think of, reCAPTCHA is just not working with the Ajax API. Here's what my code looks like: <!-- this is in <head> --> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://api.recaptcha.net/js/recaptcha_ajax.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { Recaptcha.create("my key here", "recaptcha_widget", { "theme": "custom", "lang": "en", "callback": function() { console.log("callback"); } // this doesn't get called }); }); </script> <!-- ... this is in <body> --> <div id="recaptcha_widget" style="display: none"> <div id="recaptcha_image"></div> <div id="recaptcha_links"> <a href="javascript:Recaptcha.reload()">get another</a> &bull; <a class="recaptcha_only_if_image" href="javascript:Recaptcha.switch_type('audio')">switch to audio</a> <a class="recaptcha_only_if_audio" href="javascript:Recaptcha.switch_type('image')">switch to image</a> &bull; <a href="javascript:Recaptcha.showhelp()">help</a> </div> <dt>Type the words</dt> <dd><input type="text" id="recaptcha_response_field" name="recaptcha_response_field"></dd> </div>

  • Microsoft Surface - Flip & Scatter View Items

    - by Angelus
    Hi Guys, I'm currently trying to get flip to work with scatterview items, and I'm having some trouble conceptually with it, using a plugin called Thriple (http://thriple.codeplex.com/). Essentially, a 2 sided thriple control looks like this: <thriple:ContentControl3D xmlns:thriple="http://thriple.codeplex.com/" Background="LightBlue" BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="2" MaxWidth="200" MaxHeight="200" > <thriple:ContentControl3D.Content> <Button Content="Front Side" Command="thriple:ContentControl3D.RotateCommand" Width="100" Height="100" /> </thriple:ContentControl3D.Content> <thriple:ContentControl3D.BackContent> <Button Content="Back Side" Command="thriple:ContentControl3D.RotateCommand" Width="100" Height="100" /> </thriple:ContentControl3D.BackContent> </thriple:ContentControl3D> What I'm struggling to grasp is if I should be making 2 separate ScatterView templates to bind to the data I want, and then each one would be the "front" and "back" of a scatterview item OR should i make 2 separate ScatterView items which are bound to the data I want, which is then bound to the "back" and "front" of a main ScatterView item? If there is a better way of using doing flip animations with ScatterViewItem's, that'd be cool too! Thanks!

  • Enumerating all strings in resx

    - by Erik Hesselink
    We would like to enumerate all strings in a resource file in .NET (resx file). We want this to generate a javascript object containing all these key-value pairs. We do this now for satellite assemblies with code like this (this is VB.NET, but any example code is fine): Dim rm As ResourceManager rm = New ResourceManager([resource name], [your assembly]) Dim Rs As ResourceSet Rs = rm.GetResourceSet(Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture, True, True) For Each Kvp As DictionaryEntry In Rs [Write out Kvp.Key and Kvp.Value] Next However, we haven't found a way to do this for .resx files yet, sadly. How can we enumerate all localization strings in a resx file? UPDATE: Following Dennis Myren's comment and the ideas from here, I built a ResXResourceManager. Now I can do the same with .resx files as I did with the embedded resources. Here is the code. Note that Microsoft made a needed constructor private, so I use reflection to access it. You need full trust when using this. Imports System.Globalization Imports System.Reflection Imports System.Resources Imports System.Windows.Forms Public Class ResXResourceManager Inherits ResourceManager Public Sub New(ByVal BaseName As String, ByVal ResourceDir As String) Me.New(BaseName, ResourceDir, GetType(ResXResourceSet)) End Sub Protected Sub New(ByVal BaseName As String, ByVal ResourceDir As String, ByVal UsingResourceSet As Type) Dim BaseType As Type = Me.GetType().BaseType Dim Flags As BindingFlags = BindingFlags.NonPublic Or BindingFlags.Instance Dim Constructor As ConstructorInfo = BaseType.GetConstructor(Flags, Nothing, New Type() { GetType(String), GetType(String), GetType(Type) }, Nothing) Constructor.Invoke(Me, Flags, Nothing, New Object() { BaseName, ResourceDir, UsingResourceSet }, Nothing) End Sub Protected Overrides Function GetResourceFileName(ByVal culture As CultureInfo) As String Dim FileName As String FileName = MyBase.GetResourceFileName(culture) If FileName IsNot Nothing AndAlso FileName.Length > 10 Then Return FileName.Substring(0, FileName.Length - 10) & ".resx" End If Return Nothing End Function End Class

But all that I managed with the following xml was a fullscreen live camera preview. Android 1.5 emulator. • VB6 Manifest not working on Windows 7

    - by Matt
    I have created a manifest file for a VB6 application that is running on Windows 7 (not for any visual style changes, just to make sure it accesses the common registry and not a virtualised one) The exe name is Capadm40.exe, the manifest is named Capadm40.exe.manifest and contains the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="1.0.0.0" processorArchitecture="X86" name="CompanyName.Capadm40" type="win32"/> <description>Administers the System</description> <!-- Identify the application security requirements. --> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="asInvoker" uiAccess="false"/> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> </assembly> However, this doesn't seem to make any difference. ie the application is still using the virtualised registry hive. What is also strange is the after I unticked the 'Run this program as an administrator' option in the properties of the application exe, windows still shows a shield on the application icon, leading my to think this is some issue with my windows installation rather than a fault with the manifest. Any ideas?

  • Does a silverlight video player always need source address in URL format only?

    - by Manish
    I have seen on many sites the silverlight video player. I noticed that all of them took a URL as the source of the video file. Can a silverlight player play a video file kept locally? I mean a simple HTML file kept in a folder with the xap (say VideoPlayer.xap) and the video (say ABC.avi) file. The html file would contain an object tag. For example: <object height="240" width="500" type="application/x-silverlight-2" data="data:application/x-silverlight,"> <param value="VideoPlayer.xap" name="source"> <param value="onSilverlightError" name="onerror"> <param value="white" name="background"> <param value="cc=true,markers=true,markerpath=markers_movie21.xml,m=ABC.avi" name="initParams"> <a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=115261"> <img style="border-style: none;" alt="Get Microsoft Silverlight" src="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=108181"> </a> </object>

  • loading content from php file with jQuery

    - by Billa
    The following code fetch all data (by clicking a.info link) from a php file "info.php" and prints in the #content div. The problem is that it prints everything from info.php file. Can I possibly select only some part of data from info.php file to load in #content? The reason to ask this question is that, I want to load different data from the same php file for the different links. $("a.info").click(function(){ var id=$(this).attr("id"); $("#box").slideDown("slow"); $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: "id="+$(this).attr("id"), url: "info.php", success: function(html){ $("#content").html(html); } }); }); Html where content is loading: <div id="box"> <div id="content"></div> </div> info.php paragraph1. paragraph2. For example, In the above info.php file, i only want to load paragraph1 in the #content. I hope my question is clear. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Using inotify-tools and ruby to push uploads to Cloud Files

    - by Christian
    Hi Guys, I wrote a few scripts to monitor an uploads directory for changes, then capture the file uploaded/changed and push it to cloud files using a ruby script. This all works well 95% of the time, the only exception is that occasionally, ruby fails with a 'file does not exist' exception. I am assuming that the ruby 'push' script is being called before the file is 100% in its new location, so the script is being called a little prematurely. I tried adding a little function to my script to check if the file exists, if it doesn't, sleep 5 then try again, but this seems to snowball and eventually dies. I then just added a sleep 2 to all calls, but it hasn't helped as I now get the 'file does not exist' error again. #!/bin/sh function checkExists { if [ ! -e "$1" ] then sleep 5 checkExists $1 fi } inotifywait -mr --timefmt '%d/%m/%y-%H:%M' --format '%T %w %f' -e modify,moved_to,create,delete /home/skylines/html/forums/uploads | while read date dir file; do cloudpath=${dir:20}${file} localpath=${dir}${file} #checkExists $localpath sleep 2 ruby /home/cbiggins/bin/pushToCloud.rb skylinesaustralia.com $cloudpath $localpath echo "${date} ruby /home/cbiggins/bin/pushToCloud.rb skylinesaustralia.com $cloudpath $localpath" >> /var/log/pushToCloud.log done I am looking for any suggestions to help me make this 100% stable (eventually, I'll serve the uploaded files from Cloud FIles, so I need to make sure its perfect) Thanks in advance!

  • web.xml - Java Servlet Filters and WebSphere - URL Pattern issues

    - by Ed
    Hi, So we are running a web application that has been tested on Tomcat, Glassfish, WebLogic and WebSphere. All run correctly except WebSphere. The issue is that filters are not processed for files under a certain directory. For example I have a filter that checks the user's lanuage from browser cookies and another that get the user's username, in the web.xml there are configured like so: <!-- ****************************** --> <!-- * Security context filtering * --> <!-- ****************************** --> <filter> <filter-name>SetSecurityContextFilter</filter-name> <filter-class> com.test.security.SecurityContextServletFilter </filter-class> </filter> <!-- ****************************** --> <!-- ** Locale context filtering ** --> <!-- ****************************** --> <filter> <filter-name>SetLocaleFilter</filter-name> <filter-class> com.test.locale.LocaleServletFilter </filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>SetSecurityContextFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>SetLocaleFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> Both filters set a static threadlocal variable which can be accessed from a static getter, but when the same file 'test.jsp' invokes the getters, under 'contextroot/js' they return the default values (as if unset) while under 'contextroot/pages' they are correct. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Getting web page after calling DownloadStringAsync()?

    - by OverTheRainbow
    Hello I don't know enough about VB.Net yet to use the richer HttpWebRequest class, so I figured I'd use the simpler WebClient class to download web pages asynchronously (to avoid freezing the UI). However, how can the asynchronous event handler actually return the web page to the calling routine? Imports System.Net Public Class Form1 Private Shared Sub DownloadStringCallback2(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs) If e.Cancelled = False AndAlso e.Error Is Nothing Then Dim textString As String = CStr(e.Result) 'HERE : How to return textString to the calling routine? End If End Sub Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim client As WebClient = New WebClient() AddHandler client.DownloadStringCompleted, AddressOf DownloadStringCallback2 Dim uri As Uri = New Uri("http://www.google.com") client.DownloadStringAsync(uri) 'HERE : how to get web page back from callback function? End Sub End Class Thank you. Edit: I added a global, shared variable and a While/DoEvents/EndWhile, but there's got to be a cleaner way to do this :-/ Public Class Form1 Shared page As String Public Shared Sub AlertStringDownloaded(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs) ' If the string request went as planned and wasn't cancelled: If e.Cancelled = False AndAlso e.Error Is Nothing Then page = CStr(e.Result) End If End Sub Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim wc As New WebClient AddHandler wc.DownloadStringCompleted, AddressOf AlertStringDownloaded page = Nothing wc.DownloadStringAsync(New Uri("http://www.google.com")) 'Better way to wait until page has been filled? While page Is Nothing Application.DoEvents() End While RichTextBox1.Text = page End Sub End Class

  • Environment variable names with parentheses, like %ProgramFiles(x86)%, in PowerShell?

    - by jwfearn
    How does one get the value of environment variable whose name contains parentheses in a PowerShell script? To complicate matters, some variables names contains parentheses while others have similar names without parenteses. For example (using cmd.exe): C:\>set | find "ProgramFiles" CommonProgramFiles=C:\Program Files\Common Files CommonProgramFiles(x86)=C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files ProgramFiles=C:\Program Files ProgramFiles(x86)=C:\Program Files (x86) We see that %ProgramFiles% is not the same as %ProgramFiles(x86)%. My PowerShell code is failing in a weird way because it's ignoring the part of the environment variable name after the parentheses. Since this happens to match the name of a different, but existing, environment variable I don't fail, I just get the right value of the wrong variable. Here's a test function in the PowerShell scripting language to illustrate my problem: function Do-Test { $ok = "C:\Program Files (x86)" # note space between 's' and '( $bad = "$Env:ProgramFiles" + "(x86)" # uses %ProgramFiles% $bin32 = "$Env:ProgramFiles(x86)" # LINE 6, I want to use %ProgramFiles(x86)% if ( $bin32 -eq $ok ) { Write-Output "Pass" } elseif ( $bin32 -eq $bad ) { Write-Output "Fail: %ProgramFiles% used instead of %ProgramFiles(x86)%" } else { Write-Output "Fail: some other reason" } } And here's the output: PS> Do-Test Fail: %ProgramFiles% used instead of %ProgramFiles(x86)% Is there a simple change I can make to line 6 above to get the correct value of %ProgramFiles(x86)%? *NOTE: In the text of this post I am using batch file syntax for environment variables as a convenient shorthand. For example %SOME_VARIABLE% means "the value of the environment variable whose name is SOME_VARIABLE". If I knew the properly escaped syntax in PowerShell, I wouldn't need to ask this question.*

  • How to explain to users the advantages of dumb primary key?

    - by Hao
    Primary key attractiveness I have a boss(and also users) that wants primary key to be sophisticated/smart/attractive control number(sort of like Social Security number, or credit card number format) I just padded the primary key(in Views) with zeroes to appease their desire to make the control number sophisticated,smart and attractive. But they wanted it as: first 2 digits as client code, then 4 digits as year year, then last 4 digits as transaction number on that client on a given year, then reset the transaction number of client to 1 when next year flows. Each client's transaction starts with 1. e.g. WM20090001, WM20090002, BB2009001, WM20100001, BB20100001 But as I wanted to make things as simple as possible, I forgo embedding their suggested smartness in primary key, I just keep the primary key auto increments regardless of client and year. But to make it not dull-looking(they really are adamant to make the primary key as smart control number), I made the primary key appears to them smart, on view query, I put the client code and four digit year code on front of the eight-zero padded autoincrement key, i.e. WM200900000001. Sort of slug-like information on autoincremented primary key. Keeping primary key autoincrement regardless of any other information, we are able keep other potential side effects problem when they edit a record, for example, if they made a mistake of entering the transaction on WM, then they edit the client code to BB, if we use smart primary key, the primary keys of WM customer will have gaps in their control number. Or worse yet, instead of letting the control numbers have gaps/holes, the user will request that subsequent records of that gap should shift up to that gap and have their subsequent primary keys re-adjust(decremented). How do you deal with these user requests(reasonable or otherwise)? Do you yield to their request? Or just continue using dumb primary key and explain them the repercussions of having a very smart/sophisticated primary key and educate them the significant advantages of having a dumb primary key? P.S. quotable quote(http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-1044961.html): "If you hold your tongue the first time users ask what is for them a reasonable request, things will work a lot better in the end."

Here is my code #include <iostream> using namespace std; struct record { string word; struct record * link; }; typedef struct record node; node * insert_Node( node * head, node * previous, string key ); node * search( node *head, string key, int *found); void displayList(node *head); node * delete_node( node *head, node * previous, string key); int main() { node * previous, * head = NULL; int found = 0; string node1Data,newNodeData, nextData,lastData; //set up first node cout <<"Depature"<<endl; cin >>node1Data; previous = search( head, node1Data, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, node1Data); cout <<"Depature inserted"<<endl; //insert node between first node and head cout <<"Destination"<<endl; cin >>newNodeData; previous = search( head, newNodeData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, newNodeData); cout <<"Destinationinserted"<<endl; //insert node between second node and head cout <<"Cost"<<endl; cin >>newNodeData; previous = search( head, newNodeData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, newNodeData); cout <<"Cost inserted"<<endl; cout <<"Number of Seats Required"<<endl; //place node between new node and first node cin >>nextData; previous = search( head, nextData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, nextData); cout <<"Number of Seats Required inserted"<<endl; //insert node between first node and head cout <<"Name"<<endl; cin >>newNodeData; previous = search( head, newNodeData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, newNodeData); cout <<"Name inserted"<<endl; //insert node between node and head cout <<"Address "<<endl; cin >>newNodeData; previous = search( head, newNodeData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, newNodeData); cout <<"Address inserted"<<endl; //place node as very last node cin >>lastData; previous = search( head, lastData, &found); cout <<"Previous" <<previous<<endl; head = insert_Node(head, previous, lastData); cout <<"C"<<endl; displayList(head); char Ans = 'y'; //Delete nodes do { cout <<"Enter Keyword to be delete"<<endl; cin >>nextData; previous = search( head, nextData, &found); if (found == 1) head = delete_node( head, previous,nextData); displayList(head); cout <<"Do you want to Delete more y /n "<<endl; cin >> Ans; } while( Ans =='y'); int choice, i=0, counter=0; int fclass[10]; int coach[10]; printf("Welcome to the booking program"); printf("\n-----------------"); do{ printf("\n Please pick one of the following option:"); printf("\n 1) Reserve a first class seat on Flight 101."); printf("\n 2) Reserve a coach seat on Flight 101."); printf("\n 3) Quit "); printf("\n ---------------------------------------------------------------------"); printf("\nYour choice?"); scanf("%d",&choice); switch(choice) { case 1: i++; if (i <10){ printf("Here is your seat: %d " , fclass[i]); } else if (i = 10) { printf("Sorry there is no more seats on First Class. Please wait for the next flight"); } break; case 3: printf("Thank you and goodbye\n"); //exit(0); } } while (choice != 3); How can i get what the User enters into number of Seats into this function

  • Command-Line Parsing API from TestAPI library - Type-Safe Commands how to

    - by MicMit
    Library at http://testapi.codeplex.com/ Excerpt of usage from http://blogs.msdn.com/ivo_manolov/archive/2008/12/17/9230331.aspx A third common approach is forming strongly-typed commands from the command-line parameters. This is common for cases when the command-line looks as follows: some-exe COMMAND parameters-to-the-command The parsing in this case is a little bit more involved: Create one class for every supported command, which derives from the Command abstract base class and implements an expected Execute method. Pass an expected command along with the command-line arguments to CommandLineParser.ParseCommand – the method will return a strongly-typed Command instance that can be Execute()-d. // EXAMPLE #3: // Sample for parsing the following command-line: // Test.exe run /runId=10 /verbose // In this particular case we have an actual command on the command-line (“run”), which we want to effectively de-serialize and execute. public class RunCommand : Command { bool? Verbose { get; set; } int? RunId { get; set; } public override void Execute() { // Implement your "run" execution logic here. } } Command c = new RunCommand(); CommandLineParser.ParseArguments(c, args); c.Execute(); ============================ I don't get if we instantiate specific class before parsing arguments , what's the point of command line argument "run" which is very first one. I thought the idea was to instantiate and execute command/class based on a command line parameter ( "run" parameter becomes instance RunCommand class, "walk" becomes WalkCommand class and so on ). Can it be done with the latest version ?

  • jQuery - manipulate dropped element in sortable list

    - by WastedSpace
    Hi there, I have a draggable list (.field) where you can drag & drop items from it into a sortable list (.sortlist). I did it this way because I didn't want the master list (.field) altered in any way. It works fine, except I cannot work out how to manipulate the dropped field in a sortable list. I can do it from a draggable into a droppable area by using the following in a function for 'drop:' in droppable(): $(this).append('html code here to change content of dragged field'); However this doesn't work inside a sortable(). My code looks like this: $(".sortlist").sortable({ receive: function(event, ui) { var dropElemTxt = $(ui.item).text(); var dropElemId = $(ui.item).attr('id'); $(ui.item).replaceWith('<li class="box" id="'+dropElemId+'">Updated field! '+dropElemTxt+'</li>'); } }); $(ui.item).replaceWith changes the master field that was being dragged, so this doesn't work. And I tried $(this).replaceWith, but that updates the sortable area (.sortlist). Any idea what code I need to reference the dragged item? Many thanks, Ali.

  • loading js files and other dependent js files asynchronously

    - by taber
    I'm looking for a clean way to asynchronously load the following types of javascript files: a "core" js file (hmm, let's just call it, oh i don't know, "jquery!" haha), x number of js files that are dependent on the "core" js file being loaded, and y number of other unrelated js files. I have a couple ideas of how to go about it, but not sure what the best way is. I'd like to avoid loading scripts in the document body. So for example, I want the following 4 javascript files to load asynchronously, appropriately named: /js/my-contact-page-js-functions.js // unrelated/independent script /js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js // the "core" script /js/jquery.color.min.js // dependent on jquery being loaded http://thirdparty.com/js/third-party-tracking-script.js // another unrelated/independent script But this won't work because it's not guaranteed that jQuery is loaded before the color plugin... (function() { a=[ '/js/my-contact-page-functions.js', '/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js', '/js/jquery.color.js', 'http://cdn.thirdparty.com/third-party-tracking-script.js', ], d=document, h=d.getElementsByTagName('head')[0], s, i, l=a.length; for(i=0;i<l;i++){ s=d.createElement('script'); s.type='text/javascript'; s.async=true; s.src=a[i]; h.appendChild(s); } })(); Is it pretty much not possible to load jquery and the color plugin asynchronously? (Since the color plugin requires that jQuery is loaded first.) The first method I was considering is to just combine the color plugin script with jQuery source into one file. Then another idea I had was loading the color plugin like so: $(window).ready(function() { $.getScript("/js/jquery.color.js"); }); Anyone have any thoughts on how you'd go about this? Thanks!

  • AS3 "Loader" progress immediately goes to 100%

    - by Bart van Heukelom
    If you go to http://moederdagontbijtplacemat.nl/ you will see a progress bar. The application is loading a fairly large SWF from the server using the Loader class. Strangely enough, the progress bar immediately goes to 100% (but the loading still takes a while after that). The code is below, but you'll see it's basically too simple to break. It has worked when the application was on a different server, so I though maybe the new server wasn't sending the size of the large SWF in the http headers. Firebug does show a progress bar though, so that is not the case, the information should be available. It also works when I run the loader swf locally and change the URL (new URLRequest("Placemat.swf")) to the absolute URL of Placemat.swf on the server. var l:Loader = new Loader(); addChild(l); l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, function(e:ProgressEvent) { s.setProgress(e.bytesLoaded/e.bytesTotal); trace(Math.round(100 * e.bytesLoaded/e.bytesTotal), "%"); }); l.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, function() { removeChild(s); }); l.load(new URLRequest("Placemat.swf"));
