  How can I undo the creation of a branch in Mercurial? For example, if I issue the command hg branch newbranch How can I delete this branch if I decide I entered the wrong name? I'm guessing this must be pretty simple to do, but I have yet to figure it out. Thanks!

  When running the commandsvn ci you get a text editor that allows you to place a comment, below that is there is the text "--This line, and those below, will be ignored--", then the files modified, added, or deleted. If I were to delete a line such as: M folderA/fileA Would it remove that file from the check in, or is that just an SVN comment that has no other effect?

  So I am making a small site using cakephp, and my ACL is set up so that every time a piece of content is created, an ACL rule is created to link the owner of the piece of content to the actual content. This allows each owner to edit/delete their own content. This method just seems so inefficient, because there is an equivalent amount of ACL rules as content in the database. I was curious, how do big sites, with millions of pieces of content, solve this problem?

If i delete error/error.phtml out of views/scripts/ a Fatal Error is showing up that there is no directory.   Hi, I have a problem commiting to svn server, Here's what I got, File Can't read 'D:\SVNROOT\UC\db\txn-current'.: End of file found (It's traslation of Korean, so there's might be differ than what English error said..)   I have data in the form of four columns. The first three columns represent time, value1, value 2. The fourth column is binary, all 0's or 1's. Is there a way to tell excel to delete time, value1 and value 2, when the corresponding binary value in column four is 0? I know this is a lot easier in C++ or matlab, but for reasons beyond my control, I must do it in excel.
