  • Control pdb file output from build defintion file

    Hello, I am trying to generate a release build with no pdb files generated. I have seen numerous posts that suggest right-clicking on the project, selecting Properties, going to the Build tab and then to the Advanced... butoon and changing Debug Info to none. This works and all, but I need to do this for a build of ~50 solutions which contain ~25 projects each! Other posts mention editing the appropriate .csproj file, but again, with so many projects, this would take a long time. Is there any way to achieve this via the TFSBuild.proj file? I have tried adding the following to the TFSBuild.proj file, with no luck. <PropertyGroup> <Configuration>Release</Configuration> <Platform>AnyCPU</Platform> </PropertyGroup> <PropertyGroup> <DebugSymbols>false</DebugSymbols> <DebugType>none</DebugType> <Optimize>true</Optimize> </PropertyGroup> The following line prints out Release|AnyCPU, none, and false, but I still see .pdb file in the $(OutputDir) folder. <Message Text="$Configuration|Platform): $(Configuration)|$(Platform)" /> <Message Text="DebugType is: $(DebugType)"/> <Message Text="DebugSymbols is: $(DebugSymbols)"/> Thanks in advance, Urvi

  • Selecting a good SQL Server 2008 spatial index with large polygons

    I'm having some fun trying to pick a decent SQL Server 2008 spatial index setup for a data set I am dealing with. The dataset is polygons, representing contours over the whole globe. There are 106,000 rows in the table, the polygons are stored in a geometry field. The issue I have is that many of the polygons cover a large portion of the globe. This seems to make it very hard to get a spatial index that will eliminate many rows in the primary filter. For example, look at the following query: SELECT "ID","CODE","geom".STAsBinary() as "geom" FROM "dbo"."ContA" WHERE "geom".Filter( geometry::STGeomFromText('POLYGON ((-142.03193662573682 59.53396984952896, -142.03193662573682 59.88928136451884, -141.32743833481925 59.88928136451884, -141.32743833481925 59.53396984952896, -142.03193662573682 59.53396984952896))', 4326) ) = 1 This is querying an area which intersects with only two of the polygons in the table. No matter what combination of spatial index settings I chose, that Filter() always returns around 60,000 rows. Replacing Filter() with STIntersects() of course returns just the two polygons I want, but of course takes much longer (Filter() is 6 seconds, STIntersects() is 12 seconds). Can anyone give me any hints on whether there is a spatial index setup that is likely to improve on 60,000 rows or is my dataset just not a good match for SQL Server's spatial indexing ?

    I am trying to add a custom activity designer for an activity that I have. The activity looks a little like: public class WaitForUserInputActvitiy : NativeActivity { public InArgument<UserInteractionProperty[]> UserInteraction { get; set; } } I am trying to put a designer on the activity to make it a bit nicer to set these values (so you don't end up typing VB in directly. My designer is based on mindscape property grid. I have an ObservableDictionary source that I want to get the values from and put them in to the InArgument. Currently I am using private void TestGrid_LostFocus(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { using (ModelEditingScope editingScope = this.ModelItem.BeginEdit()) { Argument myArg = Argument.Create(typeof(WaitForUserInputActvitiy), ArgumentDirection.In); this.ModelItem.Properties["UserInteraction"].SetValue(source.Values.ToArray()); editingScope.Complete(); } } However this results in an ArgumentException "Object of type UserInteractionProperty[] cannot be converted to InArgument`1[UserInteractionProperty[]]. So how do I convert my array of UserInteractionProperties into an InArgument?

  • Making a query result equal to zero when a condition is null

    Hello, I believe the query below should work. However, when I run it, the results are blank. I think this is happening since for now, the table "comment" is empty. So there is no instance where s.submissionid = c.submissionid. I would like to have the query below to work even if there if no s.submissionid that equals a c.submissionid. In this case, I would like countComments to equal zero. How can I do this?     I'm using almost same POM for both my projects, they are on the same workspace but they are not related at all, they are related however because in both I use spring and jboss.     hey guys assuming i have a table named t1 with following fields: ROWID, CID, PID, Score, SortKey it has the following data: 1, C1, P1, 10, 1 2, C1, P2, 20, 2 3, C1, P3, 30, 3 4, C2, P4, 20, 3 5, C2, P5, 30, 2 6, C3, P6, 10, 1 7, C3, P7, 20, 2 what query do i write so that it applies group by on CID, but instead of returning me 1 single result per group, it returns me a max of 2 results per group. also where condition is score = 20 and i want the results ordered by CID and SortKey. If I had to run my query on above data, i would expect the following result: RESULTS FOR C1 - note: ROWID 1 is not considered as its score < 20 C1, P2, 20, 2 C1, P3, 30, 3 RESULTS FOR C2 - note: ROWID 5 appears before ROWID 4 as ROWID 5 has lesser value SortKey C2, P5, 30, 2 C2, P4, 20, 3 RESULTS FOR C3 - note: ROWID 6 does not appear as its score is less than 20 so only 1 record returned here C3, P7, 20, 2 IN SHORT, I WANT A LIMIT WITHIN A GROUP BY. I want the simplest solution and want to avoid temp tables. sub queries are fine. also note i am using sqlite for this

So in short, how do i write this plain old sql :- Select b.BlogTitle, bp.PostTitle, bpc.CommentText from tblBlogs b Inner join tblBlogPosts bp on b.BlogId = bp.BlogId Inner Join tblBlogPostComment bpc on bp.BlogPostsId = bpc.BlogPostsId Inner Join tblBlogMember bm On bpc.BlogMemberId = bm.BlogMemberId Where bm.UserId = 1; As you can see, everything is Inner join, so only that row will be retrieved for which the user has commented on some post of some blog. So, suppose he has joined 3 blogs whose ids are 1,2,3 (The blogs which user has joined are in tblBlogMembers) but the user has only commented in blog 2 (of say BlogPostId = 1). So that row will be retrieved and 1,3 won't as it is Inner Join. How do i write this kind of query in jpql? In jpql, we can only write simple queries like say :- Select bm.blogId from tblBlogMember Where bm.UserId = objUser; Where objUser is supplied using :- em.find(User.class,1); Thus once we get all blogs(Here blogId represents a blog object) which user has joined, we can loop through and do all fancy things. But i don't want to fall in this looping business and write all this things in my java code. Instead, i want to leave that for database engine to do. So, how do i write the above plain sql into jpql? and what type of object the jpql query will return? because i am only selecting few fields from all table. In which class should i typecast the result to? I think i posted my requirement correctly, if i am not clear please let me know. Thanks in advance :).

  • Literal ampersands in System.Uri query string

    I'm working on a client app that uses a restful service to look up companies by name. It's important that I'm able to include literal ampersands in my queries since this character is quite common in company names. However whenever I pass %26 (the URI escaped ampersand character) to System.Uri, it converts it back to a regular ampersand character! On closer inspection, the only two characters that aren't converted back are hash (%23) and percent (%25). Lets say I want to search for a company named "Pierce & Pierce": var endPoint = "http://localhost/companies?where=Name eq '{0}'"; var name = "Pierce & Pierce"; Console.WriteLine(new Uri(string.Format(endPoint, name))); Console.WriteLine(new Uri(string.Format(endPoint, Uri.EscapeUriString(name)))); Console.WriteLine(new Uri(string.Format(endPoint, Uri.EscapeDataString(name)))); All three of the above combinations return: http://localhost/companies?where=Name eq 'Pierce & Pierce' This causes errors on the server side since the ampersand is (correctly) interpreted as a query arg delimiter. What I really need it to return is the original string: http://localhost/companies?where=Name eq 'Pierce %26 Pierce' How can I work around this behavior without discarding System.Uri entirely? I can't replace all ampersands with %26 at the last moment because there will usually be multiple query args involved and I don't want to destroy their delimiters. Note: A similar problem was discussed in this question but I'm specifically referring to System.Uri.

  • Enter ID instead of name on submit (form)

    In my activities table, I have a user ID and a project ID. When a user (of admin level) creates an activity they select from a drop down menu a project. Here is the select query to draw up appropriate values: $sql = "SELECT usersprojects_tb.projectid, projects.projectname FROM projects INNER JOIN usersprojects on projects.projectid = usersprojects.projectid WHERE usersprojects.userid = '".$_SESSION['SESS_USERID']."'"; And for the tag with the dropdown menu, I have this: <?php echo $row['projectname']?> I have tried submitting the form with 'projectid' here instead and the project ID is stored successfully in my activies table. However, the user needs to see the project names (IDs arent exactly user-friendly!) And with 'projectname' as displayed, they can select the names of the available projects (to associate an activity with) but the project ID is not stored, how I link this up, so that when the project name is sent, the ID for this project is stored properly in my activities table. I'm also having the exact same problem with the users drop down. As the admin user selects a user from the drop down to assign the task to. I exactly what I want, but I think I may be using the wrong syntax! Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm writing an "Account" module which should take care of everything about accounts: registration, login/logout, user administration, password recovery, account activation, etc. So I thought it would be best to reuse whatever the module's DefaultController::actionRegister() generates to show on the main page. So my question is: how to create a new "sub request" (similar to CController::forward()) from any controller (either SiteController, read: from views/layouts/main.php, or another controller, eventually of another submodule) to a given module/controller/action? I've tried with $this-forward() from within my application layout without success: it shows a blank page, no error whatsoever. Thanks

I need to be able to find out which pages are executing which queries so that I can analyze the data. I am hoping there is some way to accomplish this without having to manually open each asp page and copy/paste the queries into a spreadsheet. I call e.serializeArray() Here is my test. equals(args.data, [ { "name": "user_name", "value": "john" } ], 'input data'); And this is the error message from qunit. expected: [ { "name": "user_name", "value": "david" } ] result: [ { "name": "user_name", "value": "david" } ] As you can see to the naked eye the expected and result value is same but qunit is not liking it.     Hello, I kind of stuck on how to implement this query - this is pretty similar to the query I posted earlier but I'm not able to crack it. I have a shopping table where everytime a user buys anything, a record is inserted. Some of the fields are * shopping_id (primary key) * store_id * user_id Now what I need is to pull only the list of those stores where he's among the top 5 visitors: When I break it down - this is what I want to accomplish: * Find all stores where this UserA has visited * For each of these stores - see who the top 5 visitors are. * Select the store only if UserA is among the top 5 visitors. The corresponding queries would be: select store_id from shopping where user_id = xxx select user_id,count(*) as 'visits' from shopping where store_id in (select store_id from shopping where user_id = xxx) group by user_id order by visits desc limit 5 Now I need to check in this resultset if UserA is present and select that store only if he's present. For example if he has visited a store 5 times - but if there are 5 or more people who have visited that store more than 5 times - then that store should not be selected. So I'm kind of lost here.
