    - by Racs
I am using Oracle 11g and when I query data from database manually, it looks ok. But when I view it using Notepad++, there is a special character that gets inserted anywhere in the xml produced. Please see image below: I tried everything and deleted some parts of the xml, updated the db and query again but the invalid character just differ in location. Any idea is much appreciated, thanks! • Dividing a string into list according to the format given

    - by user506710
Hello all , I have a string like "SAB_bARGS_D" . What I want is that the string gets divided into list of characters but whenever there is a _ sign the next character gets appended to the previous one. So the answer to above should be ['S','A','B_b','A','R','G','S_D'] It can be done by using a for loop traversing through the list but is there an inbuilt function that I can use..... Thanks a lot

  • Unload AppDomain Assembly

    - by burkhardg
I want to read some information from a .Net assembly and then modify the DLL by appending a short sequence of characters. The first part works fine but the second step fails as the assembly is still in use. This is the case although I loaded the assembly in its own AppDomain and after I finished step 1 unloaded the AppDomain.

  • What are :+ and &+ in ruby?

    - by Valentin Vasilyev
I've seen these several times but I can't figure out how to use them. The pickaxe says that these are special shortcuts but I wasn't able to find the syntactical description. I've seen them in such contexts: [1,2,3].inject(:+) to calculate sum for example.

  • Searching major search engines with text such as <%#

    - by Daniel Dyson
If I type '<%# vs <%"' into any of the major search engines, everything is stripped out except the 'vs'. I understand why they do this. I would just like to know if anyone knows of a way to escape illegal characters so that they are searched properly. I know this is not strictly a programming question, but it is relevant.
