• A lightweight application framework for PHP?

  I have long been a fan of _why's Camping microframework -- lightweight, great for microscopic applications (low concurrency, easy to use and edit and maintain), which is what I do. I'd love to know if there's something similar for PHP; full-blown app frameworks like CakePHP or Symphony are very large for what I do, but I can't seem to find nothing "less". What PHP framework would you prefer, in this situation?

  Hello, I made a Java application which I would like to distribute on Windows, OSX and Linux without distributing a jar file. I used the great Windows exe wrapper http://launch4j.sourceforge.net/ to create an .exe file complete with my icon that won't scare Windows users. Are there similar wrappers that I can use for OSX/Unix? An important consideration is that I would like to have my own icon on the executable (especially for mac users). Thanks!

  Without using the private APIs, is it possible to programatically determine the MAC address of the access point that the iPhone is connected to? I understand that this should be doable using the core BSD libraries, but we are new to this, so it would be great if someone can point us to some starter code. Note: we're trying to determine the MAC address of the remote device - not the MAC address of the iPhone.

• Insert character infront of each word in a string using C++

  Hi all, I have a string, for example; "llama,goat,cow" and I just need to put a '@' in front of each word so my string will look like "@llama,@goat,@cow", but I need the values to be dynamic also, and always with a '@' at the beginning. Not knowing a great deal of C++ could someone please help me find the easiest solution to this problem? Many thanks in advance.

• CSS3 new features...whats the point?

  I've been reading a lot of ways recently of how to avoid having to use Photoshop for things like gradients and shadows on buttons, when you can use CSS3 Box Shadow for such features. Now this is great, but obviously legacy browsers and most IE browsers don't yet implement CSS3 features, so my question is, why save yourself extra work in Photoshop when you can use CSS3 but then HAVE to use Photoshop for other browsers to see the desired effects? Isn't that just extra work?

• Slow form submission.

  When I submit a form, I can see my browser's progress bar slowly increased, it takes 4-6s to submit a form. It was a generic form like : <form id="someid" name="someName" action="someAction.do"> ... </form> I test it in IE8 and Firefox 3,both are very slow.   What I've got working and it's what I need to improve on: INSERT form_data (id,data_id, email) SELECT fk_form_joiner_id AS data_id, value AS email FROM wp_contactform_submit_data WHERE form_key='your-email' This just gets the emails, now this is great, but not enough as I have a good few different values of form_key that I need to import into different columns, I'm aware that I can do it via php using foreach loops and updates, but this needs to be done purely in mysql. So how do I do something like: insert form_data(id,data,email,name,surname,etc) Select [..],Select [..].... Please help
