  Hi I have a tooltip for each datagrid row. Which is fine. I also can style it with with mx:Style which is great. However, I desire to have multiple styles ie a header and the rest of the text in the tooltip. Is this possible? Or to have htmlText for input?

  I am implementing a distributed chat system, in this system we have the following options : Make the client and server running at each node run as separate threads. The server acting as the receiver will be running as the daemon thread and the client taking the user input as a normal thread. Fork two processes one for the client and one for the server. I am not able to reason out with which one to proceed. Any insight would be great !

• Comma separated list of values as different rows, not as fields for one row, for an SQL INSERT

  I want to make many inserts in a single SQL statement, pretty much like INSERT INTO xxx SELECT field FROM zzz But with values I don't have in a table, and are just a list of literals. Normal way would be executing one SQL query for each value, but if there exists a standard SQL statement, or MySQL-specific, it would be great.

• Is it possible to plot a single density over a discrete variable?

  The x-axis is time broken up into time intervals. There is an interval column in the data frame that specifies the time for each row. Plotting a histogram or line using geom_histogram and geom_freqpoly works great, but I'd like to use geom_density to get a filled area. Perhaps there is a better way to achieve this. Right now, if I use geom_density, curves are created for each discrete factor level instead of smoothing over all of them.

  Rails routes are great for matching RESTful style '/' separated bits of a URL, but can I match query parameters in a map.connect config. I want different controllers/actions to be invoked depending on the presence of a parameter after the '?'. I was trying something like this... map.connect "api/my/path?apple=:applecode", :controller = 'apples_controller', :action = 'my_action' map.connect "api/my/path?banana=:bananacode", :controller = 'bananas_controller', :action = 'my_action' For routing purposes I don't care about the value of the parameter, as long as it is available to the controller in the 'params' hash

  I have a DataReader and a StringBuilder (C#.NET) used in the following way; while (reader.Read()) { sb.AppendFormat("{0},{1},{2},",reader["Col1"], reader["Col2"], reader["Col3"]); } Which works great for my use, but when a row is null I need it to return "null", instead of just "". • Git/SVN for asp.net development instead of VSS?

  At work, we are using ASP.net 2.0 and VSS. VSS is a beast, we are continually having issues with people checking out files and there is no branching - makes it crazy. I know SVN/GIT is mainly used by open source developers, are there any downsides to ASP.NET developers using it? I have been pushing for SVN internally, but am thinking GIT might also be a great option. Our team is spread across 3 continents.

  I've heard a lot of people espouse the capabilities of LISP and its omnipotent macros. If LISP is such a great language, why isn't it being adopted more? What problems is LISP facing that is holding it back from (re)emerging as popular language? Is it something about LISP itself ("those brackets!" isn't the answer, is it?!), or its competitors (e.g. the dominance of Java, .NET)?
