    I am trying to change the titlebar of a window in Mac OS X. To be specific I am trying to this with firefox. And I want to draw/put a bitmap on the title bar and also min, max, and close buttons. Also I found this file which might be helpful: http://people.mozilla.com/~chofmann/l10n/tree/mozilla/widget/src/cocoa/nsCocoaWindow.mm I can see that they have the code to do custom shading or color change.     When writing web apps in Python, it brain dead easy to run a development server. Django and Google App Engine both ship with simple servers. The main feature I'm looking for is no configuration. I want something like the GAE dev server where you just pass the directory of the app as a parameter when the server is started. Is there a reason that this is more difficult with PHP?

    So I have a couple of dynamically created tablerows.Each TableRow has a couple of Textviews.I have a button that on clicked should get all the values of the second and third textviews in each Tablerow in the Table.   • Entity framework: Need a easy going, clean database migration solution.

    I'm using entity framework model first development, and I need to do database migration often, The EF database generation power pack doesn't help a lot, because that data migration never worked here. The database migration here I mean, change the model, and then I can update the existing database from the model, but creating a new one. Is there any free of charge tool here invented here yet? Or would this going to be a new feature of next EF release? PS: I love django's ORM.

    Hi All. Im wanting to develop an entirely ajax back end for a website im developing, and im looking at using jquery ui. The tabs widget looks like it could be useful for my menu, however i want to know if theres a way to load a specific tab dynamically. So basically, if someone entered the url mysite.com/tab1 it would open the first tab, and tab2 would open the second etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

    I remember when I was developing in C++ or Java, the compiler usually complains for unused methods, functions or imports. In my Django project, I have a bunch of Python files which have gone through a number of iterations. Some of those files have a few lines of import statement at the top of the page and some of those imports are not used anymore. Is there a way to locate those unused imports besides eyeballing each one of them in each file? All my imports are explicit, I don't usually write from blah import *

  • Update View at runtime in Android

    The example is pretty straightforward: i want to let the user know about what the app is doing by just showing a text (canvas.drawText()). Then, my first message appears, but not the other ones. I mean, i have a "setText" method but it doesn't updates. onCreate(Bundle bundle) { super.onCreate(bundle); setContentView(splash); // splash is the view class loadResources(); splash.setText("this"); boundWebService(); splash.setText("that"): etc(); splash.setText("so on"); } The view's text drawing works by doing just a drawText in onDraw();, so setText changes the text but doesn't show it. Someone recommended me replacing the view with a SurfaceView, but it would be alot of trouble for just a couple of updates, SO... how the heck can i update the view dinamically at runtime? It should be quite simple, just showing a text for say 2 seconds and then the main thread doing his stuff and then updating the text... Thanks! Update: I tried implementing handler.onPost(), but is the same story all over again. I mean, in my widget I want to have an event like EVT_NEED_TO_RECALCULATE_X. I want this event to be posted in all kinds of different circumstances that require x to be recalculated. However, even if there are two different reasons to recalculate x, only one recalculation needs to be done. How do I do this?
