    I have several divs that share a common class. If one of these divs do not have a child div, I want to hide the div. I can find the right div but I'm unable to hide it. This is my code, $(function() { if ($(".adRight.childen('div')").length == 0) { $(this).hide(); } }); What should I use instead of (this)? this refers to the document and not the div the if-statement found.

However, I also find it very annoying to replicate the same code and views without the possibility to keep at least a reusable library of the most common xibs.     Hi, I just came across an issue, where I had to check if a path points into a windows share. Part of this problem is to check if host A is the same as host B. Where host A and host B can be one of the following {IPv4-Address, IPv6-Address, Hostname, FQDN}. As I do not need to be exact it's enough to resolve and compare the IP-Addresses in my case. But is there, theoretically, a method to check if the hosts are the same?

  • Any tools or techniques for validating constraints programmatically between databases?

    If you had two databases, that had two tables between them that would normally implement a one to one (or many to many) constraint but cannot since they are separate databases, how would you validate this relationship in an application or test? Is there a simple way to do this? For example, a tool or technique that can, given a constraint type, tables and fields, does the validation. I imagine that this isn't the first time this come up so I'm hoping people can share their solution. Thanks.

    I'm about to embark on a new project in Silverlight 4, and definitely want to take advantage of the MVVM pattern, now I've finally grasped the basics. For implementing commands in Silverlight 4 it seems there are rather a lot of options ranging from the new built-in Command/ICommand option on the Button, over the InvokeCommand defined in the Microsoft.Expressions.Interactivity namespace and on to the range of assisting MVVM frameworks (Prism, MVVMlight etc). Does anyone here have gotcha's, experience and wisdom to share on this subject?
