    I'm trying to get Groovy on Grails set up on a Snow Leopard machine. I followed all the grails.com install directions and am trying to start the application from Grails: A Quick-Start Guide by Dave Klein.     Hello, assume I have a such html order <div id="header">>Header(logo, navigation menus etc)will be here, fixed height </div> <div id="content"> Dynamic content with different length will be here. </div> <div id="footer"> Footer of the page here, fixed height </div> Now as you can see, it is only the content div which will be changing in size as the length changes. I want to make sure the screen is used even if the height of the content is less than to fill the whole. (in other words minimum height of the content will be screen (height in pixel) - ( (height of header) + (height of footer) ) Now I can see that min-widht can be used but it is not supported with IE, how can I achieve this issue ?

  • CSS background-images and Z-Index problem

    Hope someone has an easy answer on this. I have a header image which is just a 75px high gradient with a fade on the bottom. I have it set as the background image on my header and I want to throw in a left-sidebar on my page. There is a transparency on the header image and when I have my sidebar I can't get it to sit behind the header. You can see in this screenshot: link text The green sidebar won't "sit" behind the header. I have the header z-index set to 99 and the sidebar to 1. I tried the reverse to make sure I didn't mix up my numbers but that didn't work. Both are absolutely positioned. I'm attaching their CSS selectors in the hopes someone has an easy answer.   • A problem with the asp.net create user control

    Hi, I've customised the asp.net login control and it seems to create new accounts fine, but if I duplicate the user id thats already registered or enter an email thats already used, the error messages arn't displaying. Its driving me crazy. The page just refreshes without showing an error. I need to have casting in mapping class.

  • sIFR 3 HTML text does not display, .sIFR-alternate causing problem

    It seems my sIFR 3 text does not show HTML text if the Flash text is not displayed. Here's one of the pages in question: http://www.jeremyschultz.com/client/orchardplace/website/beta/volunteer/ One person has reported not seeing anything when viewing this page, and I can recreate it by removing the Flash text with Firebug. Testing with Firebug also suggests the .sIFR-alternate class is what's causing this: when I remove it, the text shows up, and it disappears again when I restore it. I copied the original CSS and also tried applying a few new CSS rules to .sIFR-alternate but nothing has solved it. What do you think? Jeremy [email protected]

There is also no contact with that information on my phone already. Does anyone have any insight into what I might be doing wrong?

    I'm trying to finish a facebook app using the AS3 API. Im having trouble when using the publishPost (message, attachment, action_links, target_id, uid) function. I can get it to post on the user's wall setting the uid=user.uid BUT I can't make it post on the user's friends wall! Setting the target_id=friend.uid isnt working for me I've also tried uid=friend.uid / target_id=friend.uid, uid=friend.uid/ I have granted ExtendedPermission(ExtendedPermissionValues.PUBLISH_STREAM) as in the documentation. I repeat: I can make it post on the current user´s wall but not on its friends'. Can someone help me with this?

The first is: 'document.defaultView.getComputedStyle' is null of not an object This is on the sifr.js file The second is: 'sIFR' is null or not an object This one is happening I think due to the fact that the sifr.js script is failing in it's load.   • Problem with the nonresponding threads

    Hello there, I have a web application which runs multiple threads on button click each thread making IO call on different ipAddresses ie(login windows account and then making file operations). There is a treshold value of 30 seconds. I assume that while login attempt if the treshold is exceeded, device on ipAddress does not match my conditions thus I dont care it. Thread.Abort() does not fit my situation where it waits for the IO call to finish which might take long time. I tried doing the db operations acording to states of the threads right after the treshold timeout. It worked fine but when I checked out the log file, I noticed that the thread.IsAlive property of the nonresponding threads were still true. After several debuggings on my local pc, I encountered a possible deadlock situation (which i suspect) that my pc crashed badly. In short, do you have any idea about killing (forcefully) nonresponding threads (waiting for the IO opreation) right after the execution of the button_click? (PS: I am not using the threadpool) Oguzhan
