    Have you ever been browsing through photos or videos on your PC, and noticed that the thumbnails weren’t showing up properly? Sometimes they get corrupted, and you can quickly rebuild them to fix the problem. Just for some background, let’s walk through what we’re talking about. Normally, when you’re browsing around your files, you’ll see thumbnails for pictures and videos that you are viewing. These thumbnails are all generated, and stored in a cache to make browsing files faster. But sometimes… the cache gets corrupted, and we need to rebuild them. Here’s an example of what happens when it goes out of whack… Rebuilding the Windows 7 Thumbnail Cache All you have to do is open up Disk Cleanup through the start menu search box (just type in disk cleanup to find it) Just make sure that Thumbnails is checked, and then click OK to run through the cleaning process.     Recently a colleague remarked that if he got a List of some type out of the ASP.NET Cache, and changed an item, the Cache item would also change.That is correct. Session (InProc) , Cache and Application all return "live" references.     There are a number of reasons why you may want to change the folder that you store the TFS Cache. It can take up “some” amount of room so moving it to another drive can be beneficial. This is the source control Cache that TFS uses to cache data from the database. Moving the Cache is pretty easy and should allow you to organise your server space a little more efficiently. You may also get a performance improvement (although small) by putting it on another drive.. Create a new directory to store the Cache. e.g. “d:\TfsCache\” Figure: Create a new folder Give the local TFS WPG group full control of the directory   Figure: You need to use the App Tier Service WPG In the application tier web.config (~\Application Tier\Web Services\web.config) add the following setting (to the appSettings section). Figure: The web.config for TFS is stored in the application folder <appsettings> ... <add value="D:\" key="dataDirectory" /> ... </appsettings> Figure: Adding this to the web.config will trigger a restart of the app pool Figure: Your web.config should look something like this The app pool will automatically recycle and Team Web Access will start using the new location.  If you then download a file (not via a proxy) a folder with a GUID should be created immediately in the folder from #1.  If the folder doesn’t appear, then you probably don’t have permissions set up properly.

  • delete /var/cache/* How can I fix it?

    I accidentally remove all files in /var/cache/ directory with sudo rm -rf command. Now I can not see the files in Trash to bring them back. I would like to know how bad is the situation if these files are removed? does ubuntu going to work normally and recreate the directories in cache again automatically? If not, which directories do I have to create in /var/cache/ manually to let everything work fine? I have already manually made apt and apache2 and debconf in cache directoy but I do not know if I miss more importand directory which needed to be created there. I hope somebody can guide me to fix this issue.

  • Remove home page from Google cache

    The Google Webmaster Tools Remove URL section allows you to specify a page URL to be removed from the index, or cache, or both. However, I want to remove just the home page, which is / I want to remove it from the cache because it is indexed when the "under construction" page was up. This URL is not recognised by the Remove URL section as an individual page. Instead Google assumes you want to remove the entire website from the index. I've specified /index.php and /index.html to be removed from the cache, but this is not the URL listed in the search results for the home page I want removed from the cache.

I have this query : <bean id="fixQuery" class="java.lang.String"> <constructor-arg type="java.lang.String" value="select fa.id, fi.? from fix_ambulation fa left join fix_i18n fi on fa.translation_id = fi.id order by name" /> And this method : public List<FixAmbulation> readFixAmbulation(String locale) throws Exception { List<FixAmbulation> ambulations = this.getJdbcTemplate().query( fixQuery, new Object[] {locale.toLowerCase()}, ParameterizedBeanPropertyRowMapper .newInstance(FixAmbulation.class)); return ambulations; } And I'd like to have the ? filled with the string representing the locale the user is using. So if the user is brasilian I'd send him the column pt_br from the table fix_i18n, otherwise if he's american I'd send him the column en_us. What I get from this method is a PostgreSQL exception org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: syntax error at or near "$1" If I replace fi.? with just ? (the column name of the locale is unique, so if I run this query in the database it works just fine) what I get is that every object returned from method has the string locale into the field name. I.e. in name field I have "en_us". What am I doing wrong?

    Am looking for a query to sum values in a particular time duration say an year or a particular month in an year using MYSQL syntax.Note that my transaction_date column stores daily amount transacted.   • Send/cache multidimensional array to php with jQuery

    hy, i have a little, big problem here :) after i upload some images i get a list with all the images. I have some jQuery function for rotate, duplicate, delete, shuffle images! when i select a image and hit delete i send a post to php with the alt="" value of the image,i identify the picture and edit.     I have a php mysql query like this $query = "SELECT * FROM articles FORCE INDEX (articleindex) WHERE category='$thiscat' and did>'$thisdid' and mid!='$thismid' and status='1' and group='$thisgroup' and pid>'$thispid' LIMIT 10"; As optimization, I've indexed all the parameters in articleindex and I use force index to force mysql to use the index, supposedly for faster processing. But it seems that this query is still quite slow and it's causing a jam and maxing out the max mysql connection limit. Let's discuss how we can improve on such long query.

    I wrote a query that I want to run in several access databases. I have 1000+ access databases with the same tables (same names, same fields). So far, I have been manually copying this query from a txt file to the sql view in the access query design screen for each database and then run it. I did not need to change the query language - everything is the same for the 1000 databases. Is there a way to automate this?
