  • jquery fade element does not show elements styled 'visibility: hidden'

    I have a bunch of thumbnails which I am loading with a style of visibility: hidden; so that they all maintain their correct layouts. Once the page is fully loaded I have a jquery function that fades them in. This worked when their style was set to display: none; but obviously the layout screwed up then. Any suggestions?   • How to make html image clickable inside a TextView

    I have the following text in a string in the resources file: <a href="mailto:[email protected]">&lt;img src="mail_big" /&gt;</a> It shows the image fine (I implemented ImageGetter) but it is not clickable. I have tried adding the Linkify thingy but I don't think it's meant for this case, and so it doesn't work. The setMovementMethod doesn't work either. I have tried different combinations of the above: <a href="mailto:[email protected]">&lt;img src="mail_big" /&gt;hello</a> Here, even the "hello" part is not clickable (neither blue nor underlined). <a href="mailto:[email protected]"><img src="mail_big" /></a> This doesn't even show the image. &lt;a href="mailto:[email protected]"&gt;&lt;img src="mail_big" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; If I just write the email, without the <a> tag it works perfectly, but I would like to use the image of an envelope that the user can click on. It's not possible to use an imagebutton because this text is in the middle of a string and so I can't split it. Any ideas? Thanks! EDIT: I found a solution or rather found how to do it correctly. All I had to do was adding the setMovementMethod call before the call to setText in the TextView and ALSO, and COMPLETELY NECESSARY, remove the attribute "android:autoLink="all" from the layout. Apparently, parsing mails and urls in a string is mutually exclusive to interpreting the link tags in a string. So one or the other but not both. Finally my layout is just a TextView with nothing special, just width and height. The activity is like this: TextView tv = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.about_text); tv.setMovementMethod(LinkMovementMethod.getInstance()); tv.setText(Html.fromHtml(getString(R.string.about_content), new ImageGetter(), null)); And the string is like this: <string name="about_content"><a href="mailto:[email protected]"><img src="mail" /></a></string>

    I'm looking for a good tool for printing Invoices, Receipts and similar documents in Java Swing. I have tried JasperReports but it is pretty hard to get a dynamic layout and it is designing for reports. A requirement that I have is that the document should be sent directly to the printer and must not be saved to a file. So some tools that first creates an Office Document or a PDF document isn't a solution for me. Any recommendations?

  • Android Extend BaseExpandableListAdapter

    I am trying to extend the BaseExpandableListAdapter, however when once I view the list and I select one of the elements to expand, the order of the list gets reversed. For example, if I have a list with 4 elements and select the 1st element, the order (from top to bottom) is now 4, 3, 2, 1 with the 4th element (now at the top) expanded. If I unexpand the 4th element the order reverts to 1, 2, 3, 4 with no expanded elements.   • Proper way to use multiple stylesheets...so it WORKS?

    I am making a site where I need to have styles separated for layout, colors and typography. So basically I took my main style sheet and just copied it 3 times, and in removed everything but coloring from one, everything but type related in another and etc. But when I link to them now there must be some cascade issue or something, because a lot of the type stuff is not being applied. Is there a proper way to do this?

  • slowness in IE 8 IE9 while drawing tables in a html page

    My HTML page contains many tables,with numerous tr and td. While rendering in IE8/IE9 the its very slow but in Firefox its fast. I had read somewhere while drawing tables if the tables are not of fixed width, IE calculates the width every time and renders so usually slow. Right now i am adding Table style="table-layout:fixed" which made me feel its faster. Are there any similar styles that can be added to tr and td as well.Also suggest if there any other attribtes that can be added to a table

  • In pure XAML, is it possible to get a Line to align to part of a Grid?

    Is it possible to create a Line in XAML (without any C# code behind) to align a line inside of a layout container such as a Grid? I'd like to effectively have: <Grid> <Line StrokeThickness="1" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Stroke="Red"/> </Grid> I need to use StrokeDashArray and StrokeDashOffset, otherwise I would just use a Border control with the BorderThickness set to "0,0,0,1"...     I have a website which works fine in all browsers except in IE6. The pages content is inside a div loaded with a background image. The page layout gets very nasty and image does not load when the page is opened for first time, but when the same page is opened for the second time and any subsequent times, then it loads perfectly.   • disable horizontal scrolling by finger swipe

    This may just be a mac issue, but I have a page with an element which is twice the size of the page and is moved into view dynamically. in my css I have overflow-x:hidden set so that this element won't create an ugly bottom scollbar, the problem is on my laptop (and probably on ipads and other devices) I can just swipe with two fingers to scroll and view this content. This breaks the whole layout and looks really bad, and I am looking for a way to completely disable this horizontal scrolling action with javascript or css. Thank you

    I'm having problems with my first Android app. I have subclassed ListActivity, and I'm having no luck getting the overridden onListItemClick() to respond to click events. I've read focus can be a problem, but changing focus in the XML files does not seem to work. Here's the relevant bits of code.   • Java ME right to left TextField label

    Hello, I'm writing a Java ME app and i need the label for the text field to be right aligned.. I've tried setting the layout of the TextField to Item.RIGHT but it doesn't seem to affect anything when running on my test phone (Nokia E71). The text inside the TextField is right aligned and Lists and such items are desplayed correctly (RTL aligned) but the TextField label isn't. Any ideas? Thanks.
