  • Windows Vista Update Now Wont Boot Up

    My friend just updated her Windows Vista to service pack 1, or tried to. Now it wont boot up. Just black screen, some errors etc. I tried googling it and lots of people had this problem it seems. Anyone find a fix for it? I read somewhere I believe that Microsoft said to delete some files, Nvidia maybe? But I can not find that again, I forgot the exact error code I searched for before. Does anyone know what I am talking about? LOL Thanks guys.

  • Help importing video from old Sony digital tape HandyCam

    Some friends gave me their old HandyCam and a bunch of tapes asking me to put them on a DVD. The model is Sony DCR-TVR103 and it records onto Hi8 digital tapes. It has a firewire port also. I am trying to use import function in iMovie on OS X 10.6. Every import though the video is super fast, like playing in fast forward. Ever seen anything like this? How can I import this video? Thank you.

  • Wordpress Not Publishing Posts To Custom Template

    I am building a theme that has a lot of custom templates, like every page. Ridiculous, but for some reason the template I made for the "postings" page is not getting the posts? I have set the post page in reading preferences, and I have set the page to use my template, but it still publishes posts to a default template. Of all the customization I built into this I did not expect the blog part to give me trouble! lol Anyone run into this kind of thing? Thank you.

  • How can I make two "user" editable areas in Wordpress?

    Hi all, is there a way to have two posting areas in Wordpress, for clients who can not go into any HTML? Basically the template has 3 columns. One is vertical nav, thats no prob. Second is like a "sidebar" but where the main post will go, a skinny column. Third is large, "main area" size, but will also be user editable content. Does that make sense? Has anyone done something like this before? Thank you.

  • Add title to jQuery Cycle slideshow from Alt attribute?

    I am building a slideshow and need to have a title appear for each picture that get cycled. I created alt attributes for them and am trying to have cycle display them for each image, but It only shows the first one. I am unsure how to get the code I have into the cycle "loop" for the gallery?   • Incorporate Joomla module into template?

    I built a rad slider module. Then I built a template that I am going to use as a base for more projects, and I know I will use my slider module most of the time. Is there a way, other than tearing apart the modules and re-coding it all into the template, to "package" the module with a template? Like the HTML overrides do, but adding the functionality instead of overriding existing? Does this make sense? Thanks!

    I have to buttons, image input that work fine when in the markup like this, <input type="image" class="play" src="images/play.png" /> <input type="image" class="pause" src="images/pause.png" /> But as soon as I try to prepend() it to a generated they still appear, but the click function does not work anymore. $('.gallery-nav').prepend('<input type="image" class="play" src="images/play.png" /><input type="image" class="pause" src="images/pause.png" />'); Any idea why?   • Custom Wordpress Post Page Breaks if More Thank 2 Posts?

    I have a very custom template, and it works great if there are 1 or 2 posts on the blog page. But as soon as a 3rd post is added, it alters the structure of the template... Literally moves a div inside of another and I can not understand why. The code for the blog template is here, and a screenshot of the structure as it should be and another showing the misplaced div when a third post is there. Does this make any sense, any ideas?     Not quite sure how to ask this :) But what I need is to have some forms online that people can fill out, like registration form etc. They will then submit it and be emailed it as well as me and have it stored in a database. Is there a way for the files to be PDFs? Can I have an editable PDF form online? Thank you.

  • How to get joomla sections to display only on certain pages?

    I am brand new to joomla, and am trying to have a few sections, such as a feature slider, show up only on homepage, and some other stuff show only on internal pages.   • Custom options in Joomla! component help

    I am building a module, or component not sure yet, but I need to have a some options that depend on another option. For example, if you choose "A" then options 1, 2 and 3 appear. If you choose "B" then 4,5 and 6 appear. I can make everything appear at once just sending in the but can I make some params only appear after another is chosen? Thank you.

    I am loading Google API using google.load() and I need to process some of what is built by it, but I need to run the JavaScript after it has already completely loaded, is there a way to ensure that happens?   • Proper way to use multiple stylesheets...so it WORKS?

    I am making a site where I need to have styles separated for layout, colors and typography. So basically I took my main style sheet and just copied it 3 times, and in removed everything but coloring from one, everything but type related in another and etc. But when I link to them now there must be some cascade issue or something, because a lot of the type stuff is not being applied. Is there a proper way to do this?
