  • java.util.regex.* Recursive matching

    Hi Guys, I have been using the java.util.regex.* classes for Regular Expression in Java and all good so far. But today I have a different requirement. For example consider the pattern to be "aabb". Now if the input String is aa it will definitely not match, however there is still possibility that if I append bb it becomes aabb and it matches. However if I would have started with cc, no matter what I append it will never match. I have explored the Pattern and Matcher class but didn't find any way of achieving this. The input will come from user and system have to wait till pattern matches or it will never match irrespective of any input further. Any clue? Thanks.

Given an array of random numbers and -1 placed inbetween, I have to compact the array meaning all the -1s are to be replaced and the final output should be the last valid index with the fresh array. For example. Input: 3 4 -1 -1 -1 5 8 -1 8 Output: 3 4 5 8 8 5 8 -1 8 and last valid index is 4 Input: -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 2 Output: 2 -1 -1 -1 -1 2 and last valid index is 0 Input: -1 -1 -1 3 3 3 Output: 3 3 3 3 3 3 and last valid index is 2 You should not swap the values just the last valid index along with the array is enough to decipher the non negative values.

    I've got a file upload field (attachment1) in a form that may or may not have a file uploaded in it when I process the form in laravel. When I'm trying to process the page, this line generates an exception: Input::upload('attachment1',path('storage').'attachments/'.$name); Here is the text of the exception: Message: Call to a member function move() on a non-object it seems that I need to check in advance to see if 'attachment1' has a file, and I found that the function Input::has_file('attachment1') is supposed to tell me whether or not 'attachment1' has a file, but even when I submit an empty form, it returns true. Also, from reading documentation, it seems that Input::upload is supposed to just return false when trying to upload a non-existant file, so why does it produce this exception instead, and how can I fix it?

It’s currently ordered Search Button ‘Search this site’ Search Input but the designs I have want it to be Search Input ‘Search this site’ Search Button How do I go around changing the order in Drupal? I can change the search-block-form.tpl.php so the submit button is at the end but the ‘Search this site’ always appears before the input and I would like it after. I hope that makes sense.   • Watching a variable for changes without polling.

    I'm using a framework called Processing which is basically a Java applet. It has the ability to do key events because Applet can. You can also roll your own callbacks of sorts into the parent. I'm not doing that right now and maybe that's the solution. For now, I'm looking for a more POJO solution. So I wrote some examples to illustrate my question. Please ignore using key events on the command line (console). Certainly this would be a very clean solution but it's not possible on the command line and my actual app isn't a command line app. In fact, a key event would be a good solution for me but I'm trying to understand events and polling beyond just keyboard specific problems. Both these examples flip a boolean. When the boolean flips, I want to fire something once. I could wrap the boolean in an Object so if the Object changes, I could fire an event too. I can maybe throttle it back with a sleep or compare the elapsed time since last update but this is not event driven. It's just less polling. So how can I do this smarter? How can I watch a POJO for changes without polling? In C# there seems to be something interesting called properties. However, for some reason the ObjectInputStream does NOT extend FilterInputStream even though it is also reading objects (this time and not primitive types) from the underlying input stream.   • WindowsForms difference to simple Console App

    I currently started to "port" my console projects to WinForms, but it seems I am badly failing doing that. I am simply used to a console structure: I got my classes interacting with each other depending on the input coming from the console. A simple flow: Input -> ProcessInput -> Execute -> Output -> wait for input Now I got this big Form1.cs (etc.) and the "Application.Run(Form1);" But I really got no clue how my classes can interact with the form and create a flow like I described above. I mean, I just have these "...._Click(object sender....)" for each "item" inside the form. Now I do not know where to place / start my flow / loop, and how my classes can interact with the form.
