  • SVN correct directory structure

    I followed this tutorial to setup SVN on my Fedora box http://www.ashishkulkarni.com/installing-subversion-on-fedora-linux/ It worked. However, there is no trunk, tags or branches when I set this up. In the tutorial he creates a sandbox project /svn/repos/sandbox Now I am assuming that all projects will go under repos /svn/repos/project1 /svn/repos/project2 When I view the project there are no trunk, tags or branches, I have not yet checked in any project, will these appear when I do that? As I understand all my files should go below the trunk. What are the tags and branches for? Just some clarification about the structure would be nice. Thanks.

My question is about handling my incoming mail server, no matter if you use PHP, Perl, or Python. I do not care, what if I want is the result which should be as close to: I send an email to [email protected], this post will add a case such as photos, then when the mail reaches the server, the server takes to process mail and copy the attached files, in this case the photos to a folder / home / public_html / photos and then, if possible notify you if it was successful or not.     I can't seem to get answers to this question. I want to setup up 2-3 computers in my house to run Linux based virtual machines fed from my dedicated Arch Linux server. I need them to have full sound and video support. At my workplace we use VMware (View), but that is too cost prohibited for me to deploy for my wife and the two 10 year olds. I have tried Virtualbox machines and they are fine, but I cannot get sound working. Any help/hints would be greatly appreciated.

I'm familiar with sheet range (all my sheets are between a sheet "first" and a sheet "last"), so I can do something like first:last!B6 to refer to the range. But what is the formula?

    Is there a way in java to create a string with a specified number of a specified character? In my case I would need to create a string with 10 spaces.     I installed emacs 23.3.1 in c:/emacs-23.3. Following the hints in this page, I updated the site-start.el to set HOME environment variable. (setenv "HOME" "c:/users/USER/emacs") And I made c:/users/USER/.emacs (like I did in unix/mac) to write the code for using slime, but it doesn't seem to start slime correctly. Is this a correct way of setting emacs in Windows 7? Where do I put the .emacs file?

  • Windows 7 Mapped Network Drive Multiplying to Create Duplicates all the way to Z:

    A strange issue came in today from some users. At least two Windows 7 x64 boxes that have duplicate mappings of a network drive. The drive is not mapped with a log in script, but done manual through "Map Network Drive". Everything has been fine for months, but all of the sudden, Explorer looks like this: Files (\\fileServerPath) (S:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (T:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (U:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (V:) Files (\\otherServerPath) (W:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (X:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (Y:) Files (\\fileServerPath) (Z:) There are some other networks drives mixed in there that did not duplicate. The drive is normally mapped to S:\, but it decided to make its way to Z:. What is going on here?     I wonder how to list the content of a tar file only down to some level? I understand tar tvf mytar.tar will list all files, but sometimes I would like to only see directories down to some level. Similarly, for the command ls, how do I control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not go further.

    I feel like there should be a simple way to do this but I can't figure it out. I have a JFileChooser that allows the user to select directories. I want to show all the files in the directories to give the user some context, but only directories should be accepted as selections (maybe the Open button would be disabled when a file is selected). Is there an easy way of doing this?

But the deletion does not work on directories (empty or not). Is there any way to delete empty folders in a ZIP file (prefered is buildin PHP functionality)?

    Hello, I'm trying to create a Windows Virtual Drive ( like c:\ ) to map a remote storage. The main purpose is to do it in a clear way to the user. Therefore the user wouldn't know that he is writing/reading from another site. I was searching for available products, and i find that FUSE is not an option in Windows and WebDAV maps directly the drive, and i would like to build a middle layer between windows and remote storage to implement some kind of services. Another alternatives exists, such as Dokan, that is very expensive, and System.IO.IsolatedStorage Namespace, that doesn't seem to explicity create a new Windows Drive. Probably pismo ( http://www.pismotechnic.com/ ) is the thing that mostly matches my requirements but I would know if there is another alternative, including some Windows ( C++ or .NET ) native API to do that.     I wonder how to list content of tar file only down to some level? I understand "tar tvf mytar.tar" will list all files, but sometimes I wish I can just see directories down to some level. Similarly for command "ls" how to control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not further. Thanks and regards

    Probably a lame question for a start but i'm trying to re-create the ui object that's used in Apple's native Calendar to create notes. It's the basic text-field but with multiple lines. Sort of a text-area. Now i know that anything from the calendar in terms of ui objects isn't available but i have seen this in quite few apps so i'm guessing it's some sort of standard component.     I want to use the OleDB interfaces directly to open a connection to a DB, create a command and executing it (for example using the ICommandText interface). The main thing I can't find is how to create the connection and the command object and how to connect the object that implements the ICommandText to the connection. In ADO I would just use the ActiveConnection property but I want to do this directly on the OleDB interfaces. Also, if anyone can recommend a tutorial to OleDB, ether online or a book, free or not that would be great (but a tutorial and not just a reference / API) I'm using C++ but any native code would be fine.
