  • dark VS2008, Windows 7 theme, configuration

    So there's plenty of vs.settings files for nice dark syntax highlighting in VS2008, but I find them basically unusable since they're surrounded by an otherwise white visual studio application and general windows environment. I'd like an adequate dark windows 7 theme I can use while coding in VS. All of the 3rd party Win7 themes (that utilize the patched system files) I've come across have had fairly major problems and were unusable for one reason or another. Does anyone out there have a dark theme + VS combination they're actually happy with?

  • How do I use unsafe values in an enum?

    I need to use this enum in my C# application, but it won't let me use these values. When I specify the type as uint I can use the -1 value, and when I specify int I can't use the last 2 values. Is there a way to use the unchecked keyword here to allow me to define all of these values? These values are coming from an external source, so I can't change them. internal enum MyValues : int { value1 = -1, value2 = 0, value3 = 0x80000000, value4 = 0xFFFFFFFF }

    I know how to do plugins, but how do I do nested options like: var defaults = { spacing:10, shorten_to:50, from_start:0, from_end:2, classes: { test:'testing' } }; i know that isn't right, i just dont know how to write the proper syntax when I want to do something like this: $('#breadcrumbs').breadcrumbs({classes{test:'new_example'},spacing:12}) other suggestions are welcome, im in need of the ability to custom class names and there are 7, so rather than making something like test_class, example_class, etc id like it cleaner and neater like the example above.

    According to CI's docs, CodeIgniter uses a segment-based approach, for example: example.com/my/group If I want to find a specific group (id=5), I can visit example.com/my/group/5 And in the controller, define function group($id='') { ... } Now I want to use the traditional approach, which CI calls "query string" URL. Example: example.com/my/group?id=5 If I go to this URL directly, I get a 404 page not found. So how can I enable this?

    I'm trying to make a small modification to django lfs project, that will allow me to deactivate products with no stocks. Unfortunatelly I'm just beginning to learn python, so I have big trouble with its syntax. That's what I'm trying to do. I'm using method 'has_variants' which returns true if product has any. Then I'm building a list from variants for this product. Next for every product in this list (I've called it 'set') I check it's stock and set bool variable 'inactive' to true if product has no stocks and to false if there are any.     Say I have a MATLAB object defined in a class file classdef foo properties bar end end And I create a foo object myfoo = foo(); Now I want to add another field to foo dynamically. What I want is foo.newfield = 42; but this will throw an error. I know there is a way to dynamically add a field/property to a MATLAB object but I can't remember it or find it easily in the help.     I am programming Android applications, and the best way here may or may not be the same as Java in general. I simply want to be able to set a debug flag that will only execute certain portions of code when it's set to true––equiv to C++ setting a preprocessor #define DEBUG and using #ifdef DEBUG. Is there an accepted or best way to accomplish this in Java? Right now I'm just going to set a variable in my Application object, but I don't imagine this is the best way.
