• How to avoid strange characters before the request in firefox?

  Hi, on a website i'm currently developing I'm using jquery to do all sort of magic things :-) In firefox however, when I load jquery 1.4.2 there are sometimes funny characters in front of the request. You can see the strangers characters in this screenshot (thank you firebug). In safari, Chrome and IE these funny characters don't appear, jquery is loading fine in those browsers. Why are those characters appearing and how can I remove them? Thanks!!

• Responding to preference updates in Android

  I am calling a PreferenceActivity from another activity and then updating the application state (ie: changing the font size) on onActivityResult, based on the preference changes. I was thinking it would be better to put the state update logic in the PreferenceActivity. That way I don't have the duplicate the logic in each activity that calls the PreferenceActivity. What's the best or correct way to do this?

  I am writing a C# application and I would like to make calls to different matlab functions simultaneously(from different threads). Each Matlab function is located in its own compiled .net library. It seems that I am only able to call one Matlab function at a time however. ie, if matlab_func1() gets called from thread1 then matlab_func2() gets called from thread2, matlab_func2() must wait for matlab_func1() to finish executing. Is there a way to call different matlab functions simultaneously? Thanks.

Now the problem is people can muck around with the qurystring in order to read local files on the server. I dont wnat this.   I have an app which plays some ambient noises. I have fitted it with a sleep timer and a local notifier which work fine, but the notifier will only fire when the app is in the background.   img_hsv is a Mat element of an hsv image! when i give cout<<*img_hsv.data+10; it gives true value of the pixel ie 79 as output. but when i assign uchar * a=img_hsv.data+10; it gives me some other value... can you please explain me why is this the case? thanks!

  git status shows file as modified, however when commiting it shows the file as been copied ie: git status modified: foo/bar/baz.xml git commit copied: bar/foo/baz.xml - foo/bar/baz.xml Why is it showing this file as copied if it was not. The two files were identical before the change.
