  • Flash AS3: position loaded images from loop based on image height

    I'm trying to dynamically stack images that are being pulled in via an xml file. Below is what I'm doing, and it almost works. The problem is that it only seems to fire off the event complete function on the very last one, instead of going for all of them.   • Maven : Is it possible to override the configuration of a plugin already defined for a profile in a parent POM

To clarify some of my requirements : I don't want to get rid of the parent POM and the profile (wls7) defined inside it (since I need many and many properties, configurations, ...) and that is not the process in my company. A solution based on duplicating the parent POM and/or the profile defined inside it is not a good one. Since if the responsible of the parent POM change something, I would have to report it in mine. It's just an inheritance matter (extend or override a profile, a configuration from an upper-level POM) so I think it should be possible with maven2.

  • How do I write a Photoshop Extension (8BX) plugin?

    The Adobe Photoshop CS3/4 SDk has a lot of examples for Filter, Import, Export etc plugins but I havent found anything that illustrates how to write a 8BX plugin. Reason I need to write one is to add a new drop down menu to the Photoshop root toolbar (where it displays File, Edit, Image .. Window. Help drop down menus). I have seen product like OneSoftware install an 8BX plugin into Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\Extensions directory that causes PS to add adrop down menu for OneSoft. That suggest this is a solvable problem :-) I tried by changing an existing plugin in the SDlK samples but no go. Specifically i modified the resource file: resource 'PiPL' (ResourceID, plugInName " PiPL", purgeable) { { Kind { **Extension** }, Name { plugInName "..." }, ... Despite using the Extension Kind , PS never loads the plugin. It doesnt generate any compile time or load error either. Anyone has ideas on how to go about doing this ? Thanks

    I have an application where the taskbar flashes if an event has occurred. This is working perfectly, and was relatively easy to implement using a Win32 API described below: http://blogs.x2line.com/al/archive/2008/04/19/3392.aspx However, when I stop the flashing, sometimes the application is stuck in the "highlighted" state in the taskbar. This only gets reset by clicking on the application in the taskbar, minimizing it, then re-maximizing it. Is there a way to clear this from being highlighted without any user interaction?

    I'm trying to figure out most efficient/safe way to name recorded streams on FMS. The case is to get listing of recorded streams from the server (eg. rec_001, rec_002...) and dynamically add rec_003 filename to the new stream that is being recorded. I'm thinking about either using FMS File Object and put everything in array of files every time I start recording procedure or to create XML file that would serve as a database of file names. I'm searching for a solution efficient for MULTIPLE connections at a time and large amount of files. Which one of presented would be the best for this purpose? Or do you have any better suggestions of solving this problem?

  • Both Flash and Alternate Displaying In Firefox, Nothing but Errors in IE (sIFR)

    Hi guys, I've just installed and setup sIFR on my Magento store. An example page can be seen here: http://www.mint-creative.co.uk/shop And you can see it loads the heading brilliantly, but still displays the alternate text-only headline. I've quadruple checked the .css files and everything's loading ok I think. Also, in IE it doesn't display at all and every .css and .js file has an error according to the error log in IE8. Any help on this would be great as it's an urgent project! Cheers.

It works fine in Firefox but the movie stops on the first frame when opened with Internet Explorer.   • Vim plugin Align fails to work. Can it be installed without vimball?

    I've happily installed the vim Align plugin on my home computer, but on the Red Hat servers at work, the installation doesn't work. The servers at work have a very old copy (2006) of vimball, which from Googling I know doesn't support more recent vimballs, including Align. I can't get the systems group (IT department) to upgrade vimball, so I thought perhaps I could simply copy the various files into ~/.vim/plugin by hand. I copied the 3 files from my home system AlignMapsPlugin.vim AlignPlugin.vim cecutil.vim, but when I attempt to use Align from within vim I get the following error message E117: Unknown function: Align#Align I know that it's seeing the plugin, because when I remove the plugin the error message is different (it says "Not an editor command Align"). Is there a workaround for this? I love "Align" and would sure like to use it at work as well as at home.

  • Eclipse RCP: How to troubleshoot plugin dependencies & classpath problems?

    I am working on an RCP project based on eclipse. It has been working fine but recently I thought I'd upgrade it to use a new eclipse version (3.2 - 3.5). After a bit of trouble, it seemed to be working fine. Then I did something. Don't know what. The end result is that I'm getting a classpath error when one of my plugins (A) tries to access a class in one of the dependent plugins (B) (also one of mine). As far as I can see, Plugin A has Plugin B in its' dependency list and the compiler shows no errors. To test, I created a new Plugin C with one class and accessed the class from Plugin A. That works fine. Does anyone have any hints for troubleshooting such issues? A checklist of settings to check? I've been stuggling with this for hours and getting nowhere! Particularly frustrating as it was working until I changed something! Thanks

    While setInterval is handy, it's kind of limiting. Every time I want to add a Tween I have to add a new method. I do not want to alter the structure of my code just to add in some delays. Isn't there any way to say this without making methods for A and B? // do A // wait N seconds // do B I don't want to use a while loop with Dates because I think it will be blocking.   • Flash Builder 4 "includeIn" property causing design view error

    I am creating a custom TextInput component that will define an "error" state. I have extended the TextInput class to change the state to "error" if the errorString property's length is greater than 0. In the skin class, I have defined an "error" state, and added some logic to detect the size and position of the error icon. However, if I have this code at the same time I use the "includeIn" property in the bitmap image tag, I get a design view error. If I either A) Only include that code with no "includeIn" property set, it works or B) dont include the code to set the icon size and position and only use the "includeIn" property, it works. Any ideas what could be causing the design view problem when I use both the "includeIn" property and the icon size/position code at the same time?   • For a Javascript library, what is the best or standard way to support extensibility

    Specifically, I want to support "plugins" that modify the behavior of parts of the library. I couldn't find much information on the web about this subject. But here are my ideas for how a library could be extensible. The library exports an object with both public and "protected" functions. A plugin can replace any of those functions, thus modifying the library's behavior. Advantages of this method are that it's simple and that the plugin's functions can have full access to the library's "protected" functions. Disadvantages are that the library may be harder to maintain with a larger set of exposed functions and it could be hard to debug if multiple plugins are involved (how to know which plugin modified which function?). The library provides an "add plugin" function that accepts an object with a specific interface. Internally, the library will use the plugin instead of it's own code if appropriate. With this method, the internals of the library can be rearranged more freely as long as it still supports the same plugin interface. This could also support having different plugin interfaces to modify different parts of the library. A disadvantage of this method is that the plugins may have to re-implement code that is already part of the library since the library's internal functions are not exported. The library provides a "set implementation" function that accepts an object inherited from a specific base object. The library's public API calls functions in the implementation object for any functionality that can be modified and the base implementation object includes the core functionality, with both external (to the API) and internal functions. A plugin creates a new implementation object, which inherits from the base object and replaces any functions it wants to modify. This combines advantages and disadvantages of both the other methods.
