Then I created a webView in interface builder and assigned an outlet to it in the viewController.   I would like to slice random letters from a string. Given s="howdy" I would like to pick elements from 's' without replacement but keep the index number. For example >>> random.sample(s,len(s)) ['w', 'h', 'o', 'd', 'y'] is close to what I want, but I would actually prefer something like [('w',2), ('h',0), ('o',1), ('d',3), ('y',4)] with letter-index pairs. This is important because the same letter appears in 's' more than once. ie) "letter" where 't' appears twice but I need to distinguish the first 't' from the 'second'. Ideally I actually only need to pick letters as I need them but scrambling and calculating all the letters in a list (as shown above) is ok.

  I wrote my layout entirely in java code because it was just more convenient. (I had a lot of textViews and using for statements were more convenient). However, my TextViews require the day of the week and in portrait mode, I would like to cut the day of the week to a short form. For example, I want "Sunday" to show "Sun" for portrait mode, but "Sunday" for landscape mode. I understand how to do this in XML files, but how do I do it in code?   I'm having some trouble understanding how the delay macro works in Clojure. It doesn't seem to do what expect it to do (that is: delaying evaluation).   Hi all, In one of my latest projects I use Solr 1.4 for searching products.However I have ran into a slight problem, which I aint sure if its possible to do using Solr. All products are indexed by "country" and "category" and the "id", "class" and "description" are stored values. I now have been requested to extract a sample list of products that we have for a give "category" and "ONLY RETURNING ONE" product for each country where the product is available. In my current implementation, I have a dismax query to get a list of all the countries that correspond to the catergory, then I call again solr to extract all products for each country, limiting the no. rows by the size of the countries found in the previous query. The problem I have with this current implementation is I can not be certain that I have one product for each country in the list. Therefore would anyone know if it possible to tell solr that you want only one product per country provided in the query? Any guidance would be useful.

  I am writing a Client/Server set of programs Depending on the operation requested by the client, I use make TCP or UDP request. Implementing the client side is straight-forward, since I can easily open connection with any protocol and send the request to the server-side. On the servers-side, on the other hand, I would like to listen both for UDP and TCP connections on the same port. Moreover, I like the the server to open new thread for each connection request. I have adopted the approach explained in: link text I have extended this code sample by creating new threads for each TCP/UDP request. This works correctly if I use TCP only, but it fails when I attempt to make UDP bindings. Please give me any suggestion how can I correct this. tnx

  Hello. My problem is, I need to cURL-load a page that uses Ajax-based search, to get results of that search. And I need to organize a delay between curl_exec() and value returning. In other words, I need to execute curl_exec() for no less than 5 seconds. sleep() seems to stop curl execution and does not work. Will greatly appreciate any hint or clue UPD I don't know how, but on this page http://vkontakte.ru/gsearch.php?section=video&q=sample&name=1, but it requires an account to access curl DOES capture the search made by ajax. But if page tooks too long to load, Ajax returns "action was too fast" error. So I just need to prolong curl execution. Sorry if being unclear.

The approach I am considering is for each string look at all other strings and find the common characters and where differing characters are, trying to find sets of strings that have the most in common, but I fear that this is not very efficient and may give false positives. Note that this is not the same as 'How do I detect groups of common strings in filenames' because that assumes that a string will always have a series of digits following it. I would expect it to give me field1 and field2 as options, but it doesn't. I DO get field1 and field2 if I type "val2." so intellisence works when I create a new object of the same type that I specify in the param comment. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or is this just not supported?

  Hello, I would like to control how linq querries my database programaticaly. For instance, I'd like to query the column X, column Y, or column Z, depending on some conditions. First of all, I've created an array of all the properties inside my class called myPropertyInfo. Type MyType = (typeOf(MyClass)); PropertyInfo[] myPropertyInfo = myType.GetProperties( BindingFlags.Public|BindingFlags.Instance); The myPropertyInfo array allows me to access each property details (Name, propertyType, etc) through the index*[i]* Now, how can I use the above information to control how linq queries my DB? Here's a sample of a querry I'd like to exploit. var myVar = from tp in db.MyClass select tp.{expression}; Expression using myPropertyInfo[i] to choose which property(column) to query. I'm not sure if that's the way of doing it, but if there's another way to do so, I'll be glad to learn. Thanks for helping.
