Is there any possible to develop the Iphone App using Eclipse IDE in Windows? Please note Windows platform has any possibility to the Iphone Development? Any Idea?
How do I accept data on the backside of a utility app, and then how do I let users modify that data? I've tried all sorts of tutorials, but to no avail. If you need further information let me know. Thanks in advanced.
Hi,
Is it possible to debug a windows service or class library without consuming the code in a launchable app? There is a thread about doing this, but the techniques don't work and keep saying "Cannot start service..." as I am using a windows service.
Thanks
Hi all,
I would like to have both master and detail views visible in landscape and portrait modes.
Like how the Settings app is implemented.

What else can be done ?
Hello, I'm really new to Python and Django. I created a class in Python that I would like to use in a Django application. It doesn't seem like it belongs in it's own application, how can I include it in my django app?
Thank you!
Why does my flex app open a blank page in firefox? Example http://localhost/flexApp/flex_bin/test.html. IE works fine--no blank pop up along with my test page. I'm not asking for one, yet ff feels the need to serve one up. Does anyone know why?
Yes, I know, most of you are thinking I'm an idiot, butt (kidding) I'm not. I've been searching everywhere for something on how to fully make a navigation-based iphone app, but all I've found is how to set up table views or navigation controllers. I haven't found anything on how to create a data model (something simple from arrays and dictionaries, SQLite and CoreData are a bit out of my scope) or navigate it. Does anyone know of any tutorials or anything like that? Thanks.
I will be releasing two applications soon, one for my company and one for me. Publishing app on my own is straightforward, but I'm not sure which account to use for the company.
What practice do you use in your company?
I only see one solution, creating a special google account like [email protected] shared by the company Android devs.
With the new media-library capabilities in the 3.0 SDK, I'd like to have a tab in my application to control the music that's playing. Not just pause and play (i'm aware that pressing the home button twice brings up controls for this), but also the ability to browse and queue albums/artists/songs/playlists. Basically a copy of the ipod app functionality.
Any chance someone has already done this and made it freely available?
Hi,
What is the best way to demo an iPhone app on a projector?
Preferably without jailbreaking and without using a separate camera to record the iPhone screen which might limit movement?
Thanks,
Tee
I'm developing a reader app for viewing and highlighting proprietary format documents. The documents are 2D. (Might add some cool page flip effects) The interface is similar to that of mobile safari. I have no prior experience with iOS development. Could you guys point me to the right direction? (Things I need to consider, tutorials, sample projects...) THX
How do you test your app for Iñtërnâtiônàlizætiøn compliance? I tell people to store the Unicode string Iñtërnâtiônàlizætiøn into each field and then see if it is displayed correctly on output.
--- including output as a cell's content in Excel reports, in rtf format for docs, xml files, etc.
What other tests should be done?
Can subsonic 3.0 be used with a winform app? Do I need to add any references to the system.web?
If it can be done, how can I exclude certain tables in the DB? Can I use the following whih I am using for subsonic 2.0
<providers>
<!--<clear/>-->
<add name="TEST" type="SubSonic.SqlDataProvider, SubSonic" connectionStringName="myString" includeTableList="CustomerReference" includeProcedureList=""/>
</providers>
When i update my app I'd like the user to still be able to access their old files. What will the contents of the Documents directory be after updating?
Any tricks or tips shared would be most appreciated on this process.
I've started creating a iPhone Utility app (main view and flip view). I want to draw some graphics in the Main view, so I dragged a UIView object onto it. This works, but I find that if I resize the UIView to fill the Main view, it covers the Info button that invokes the Flip view. Is there any way to get the Info button to appear on top of the UIView? In IB? In code?
Hello guys,
Am developing a desktop app that will serve as message notifier, just like yahoo messenger and Gmail notifier does. All i want is that when a message is sent to a particular account, the php script would send message to a particular ip:port of the desktop application.
Any help
For Android mobile users this feature is highly in demand and is now available in Android 2.2. Hopefully more of your applications will be created with the new ability to install applications on our SD card from the Android Market.
So my question is for Android application developers. Will you add this feature onto your next release and if so, what is your app? Thanks
Say I have two NSTimers in my iPhone app: timer1 and timer2. timer1 calls function1 30 times per second and timer2 calls function2 30 times per second. Assume these two functions are reading and updating the same integer variables. Are there any "multi-threading" issues here? If not how does iPhone OS handle the execution of the two functions (in general)?

I would like to develop a reader app for viewing and manipulating proprietary format documents. The documents are 2D. (Might add some cool page flip effects) The interface is similar to that of mobile safari. I'm trying to decide whether to write this in Quartz2D or OpenGL ES. I have no prior experience with either of those. Any suggestions?
Hello!
I'm using SubSonic 2.1. I ran it against a database and it created all the files seemingly correctly. However, when I went to use one of the classes, the app wouldn't built. I'm making a Windows application, but in the SubSonic file there's a reference to HttpContext.Current.User. Does anyone know why that would happen?
When you have a slow database app, the first suggestions that people make is to:
Track the slow queries
Add appropriate indexes
In the case you are building your own application this is very logical, but when you use a CMS like Drupal, that are people have developed and tuned, is this approach valid?
I mean, aren't Drupal tables already fine-tuned for performance? Even if I try to see which queries are the slow ones, what could I do about it? Re-write Drupal core?!?
