    Using C++/CLI and Windows Forms, I'm trying to make a simple scrollable list of labelled text controls as a way of displaying some data fields. I'm having trouble making a TableLayoutPanel scrollable - every combination of properties I've tried seems to result in some really peculiar side effects. So I have two questions: Is this the best way to do it. If it is a reasonable approach, what magic combination of settings should I apply to the table layout panel to make it play ball?

  • How do I get all the calendar entries for a particular time range using Google Calendar API

    I want to view events over specific time range for a specific calendar, but am having trouble using the API, It is a generic API, and it reminds me of using the DOM. The problem is that it seems difficult to work with because much of the information is in generic base classes. How do I get the events for a calendar using Groovy or Java? Does anybody have an example of passing credentials using curl? Example code would be appreciated.

    Is it possible to host 2 asp.net projects off one ip address? I don't have a domain name just an ip number. I'm running IIS7. The first project runs and displays fine over the web by simply typing in the ip address into the browser but I'm having trouble accessing the second.     I understand the restrictions of rollback and the care required in its use (for example, http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/hg.1.html#rollback), but I just wondered why there is only 1 level of rollback. My guess it's a design decision and that the hassle of storing multiple previous transactional states to handle multiple levels of rollback is more trouble than its worth.

  • How do I stop cropping of a transformed (scaled) image in a grid (silverlight)

    I have a grid with an image in it. Initially, the image is larger than the grid, so it gets cropped which is fine, but if I apply a scaling transform to causing the image to shrink, the portion that was initally cropped remains cropped, but I want it displayed now, because it would fit in the grid. I concidered putting my image in a canvas, but I want it centered vertically and horizontally, which is giving me trouble, so I switched to a grid.

  • Using build with a has_one association in rails.

    This is a really noob question but im having trouble finding the answer, is there a way in rails to have 0 or 1 association? For example, I create a user with no objects, than later on create an object for that user. I tried using build with a 'has_one' association but that blew up... The only way I see this working is using 'has_many'. The user is suppose to only have at most one of these objects, is there any way to do this?

  • Secure automated SSH/SFTP after reboot

    I need to give a daemon ssh access to a particular server. Currently I have it setup to use ssh keys and a keychain, but the trouble with this method is if a reboot occurs. Unless I'm missing something, I would need to login after a system reboot and add the key to the keychain. Is there a way I could avoid/automate this? I'm considering using expect if I can't find any other way.

Is there a way to load a file into a binary field without using large amounts of ram, i.e. avoid loading the file into memory first?     I am trying to show a .tif image in matlab and I use these two line of codes a = imread('C:\Users\sepideh\Desktop\21_15.tif'); imshow(a) that encounters this warning Warning: Image is too big to fit on screen; displaying at 3% In imuitools\private\initSize at 73 In imshow at 262 what is the cause of this warning and what can I do to fix that? the main trouble is it sometimes doesn't show the image and of course even if it shows the image CPU usage gets high that I can't zoom properly
