  • Can i use a generic implicit or explicit operator? C#

    How do i change the following statement so it accepts any type instead of long? Now here is the catch, if there is no constructor i dont want it compiling. So if theres a constructor for string, long and double but no bool how do i have this one line work for all of these support types? ATM i just copied pasted it but i wouldnt like doing that if i had 20types (as trivial as the task may be) public static explicit operator MyClass(long v) { return new MyClass(v); }

    Suppose I have an arbitrary function: void someFunc(int, double, char); and I call someFunc(8, 2.4, 'a');, what actually happens? How does 8, 2.4, and 'a' get memory, moved into that memory, and passed into the function? What type of optimizations does the compiler have for situations like these? What if I mix and match parameters, such like someFunc(myIntVar, 2.4, someChar);? What happens if the function is declared as inline?

    Hi all! (Objective C) Just using simple AudioServicesPlaySystemSoundID and its counterparts, but I can't find in the documentation if there is already a way to find the length of an audio file. I know there is AudioServicesGetPropertyInfo, but that seems to return a byte-buffer - do audio files embed their length in themselves and I can just extract it with this?     Inserting (pasting from clipboard) of text constants in the Delphi code editor requires some manual "postprocessing" ... split up long text into multiple lines (and insert the string concatenation symbol) escape quotes (replace single quotes with double quotes) enclose the string with quotes keep original white space (leadinng blanks, line feeds) Is there a IDE plugin available which helps to reduce these manual steps?

Its supposed to be a simple function that changes the last byte of a dword to 'AA' (10101010), but nothing happens when I call the function.     Hi, I am using C# and I am having trouble loading large files into a binary field use byte arrays. Basically, if I load a file that is too large, I get memory problems. Is there a way to load a file into a binary field without using large amounts of ram, i.e. avoid loading the file into memory first?     Hello, I'm looking for feedback on which analyzer to use with an index that has documents from multiple languages. Currently I am using the simpleanalyzer, as it seems to handle the broadest amount of languages. Most of the documents to be indexed will be english, but there will be the occasional double-byte language indexed as well. Are there any other suggestions or should I just stick with the simpleanalyzer. Thanks
