  • Iphone SDK- How to insert a banner in my app

    I have a tableview that my app shows when it loads, I would like to somehow put a banner at the bottom that if connceted to the internet will check my server for any new image files and if there are it will replace the current one and if not it will just leave it. That way I can constantly display messages to my users - sort of like in Doodle Jump. How could I achieve this? Thanks

How can i make a way faster scanner that wont get stuck if the port is close.MultiThreading ? Thanks !

    Basically i have binary data, i dont mind if it's unreadable but im writing it to a file which is parsed and so it's importance newline characters are taken out. I thought i had done the right thing when i converted to string.... byte[] b = (byte[])SubKey.GetValue(v[i]); s = System.Text.ASCIIEncoding.ASCII.GetString(b); and then removed the newlines String t = s.replace("\n","") but its not working ?

    I have a large data file that is creatd from a shell script. Next script processes it by sorting and reading several times, that takes more than 14 hours, it is not viable. I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.

    I've been studying magic methods in Python, and have been wondering if there's a way to outline the specific action of: a = MyClass(*params).method() versus: MyClass(*params).method() In the sense that, perhaps, I may want to return a list that has been split on the '\n' character, versus dumping the raw list into the variable a that keeps the '\n' intact. Is there a way to ask Python if its next action is about to return a value to a variable, and change action, if that's the case?     I've been playing around with the structure of my project, and I'd like to reset the namespaces of my classes to what the default would be. That is, the default namespace for the project, plus each of the folders in the hierarchy. It's not as simple as just find + replace, since I've both added and renamed some folders, and files from some namespaces were split into multiple other namespaces. I'm using VS 2010.

    I have string like this: "Some standard text CONST_INSIDE_QUOTES" blah blah CONST "There might be another quotes" The thing is, that i want to replace all constants in string with some text, but it mustn't be applied on constants inside text in quotes. I have this regex: sed "s/([A-Z][A-Z0-9_]*)([^a-z])/<span class=\"const\"\1<\/span\2/g" which of course works for all consts. Any ideas how to exclude its apply on quotes constants? Unfortunately sed only...

    I'm trying to take a regular text file and remove words identified in a separate file (stopwords) containing the words to be removed separated by carriage returns ("\n"). Right now I'm converting both files into lists so that the elements of each list can be compared. I got this function to work, but it doesn't remove all of the words I have specified in the stopwords file.     Hello, I'm having a hard time trying to replace this weird right single quote character. I'm using str_replace like this: str_replace("’", '\u1234', $string); It looks like I cannot figure out what character the quote really is. Even when I copy paste it directly from PHPMyAdmin it still doesn't work. Do I have to escape it somehow?
