    I want to sort array A based on values in Array B actually in Array A I have topics like keyboard Laptop Desktop mouse and in Array B i have dates associated with each value in Array A how i can achieve this....I was thinking of using multi array but i m not sure if there is any default method of sorting multi array ...or if there is any other method to achieve this?

  • Getting a unix timestamp as a string in C++

    I'm using the function time() in order to get a timestamp in C++, but, after doing so, I need to convert it to a string. I can't use ctime, as I need the timestamp itself (in its 10 character format). Trouble is, I have no idea what form a time_t variable takes, so I don't know what I'm converting it from. cout handles it, so it must be a string of some description, but I have no idea what. If anyone could help me with this it'd be much appreciated, I'm completely stumped. Alternately, can you provide the output of ctime to a MySQL datetime field and have it interpreted correctly? I'd still appreciate an answer to the first part of my question for understanding's sake, but this would solve my problem.

    So, I basically would like to test to see if a string contains a range of alphanumeric characters. It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want. Best to give examples of what should/should not pass validation: So to be specific, the expression I'm looking for is to test to make sure string contains anywhere from 3 to 10 alphanumeric characters. I'd like to plug into an ASP.NET client side validator. NOTE: quotes not part of input (but could be!) " f o o " should pass since there are 3 chars "f_0_0" should pass " fo " should not "F......o......o......b.....a......r" should pass thx

    Hi all, I want to write a Unix shell script that will do various logic if there is a string inside of another string. For example, if I am in a certain folder, branch off. Could someone please tell me how to accomplish this? My specification is to truncate the string, display some message like Read More at the end and when user clicks on it, the text slides down. UPDATE: Ah! Forgot one thing.     Hi I'm working with a large data frame that I frequently need to subset in different combinations of variables. I'd like to be able to store the search in a string so I can just refer to the string when I want to see a subset. x = read.table(textConnection(" cat1 cat2 value A Z 1 A Y 2 A X 3 B N 2"),header=T,strip.white=T) search_string="cat1== 'A' & cat2=='Z'" with(x,subset(x,search)) doesn't work. What I'd be looking for is the result of a search similar to the one below. with(x,subset(x,cat1=='A' & cat2=='Z')) I'd prefer not to just create multiple subsetted data frames at the start if another solution exists. Is there a simple way to do what I'm trying?

  • Insert hex string value to sql server image field is appending extra 0

    Have an image field and want to insert into this from a hex string: insert into imageTable(imageField) values(convert(image, 0x3C3F78...)) however when I run select the value is return with an extra 0 as 0x03C3F78... This extra 0 is causing a problem in another application, I dont want it. How to stop the extra 0 being added? The schema is: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[templates]( [templateId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [templateName] [nvarchar](50) NOT NULL, [templateBody] [image] NOT NULL, [templateType] [int] NULL) and the query is: insert into templates(templateName, templateBody, templateType) values('I love stackoverflow', convert(image, 0x3C3F786D6C2076657273696F6E3D.......), 2) the actual hex string is quite large to post here.

    Hi, I have a table similar to this: LogId RefId Entered ================================== 1 1 2010-12-01 2 1 2010-12-04 3 2 2010-12-01 4 2 2010-12-06 5 3 2010-12-01 6 1 2010-12-10 7 3 2010-12-05 8 4 2010-12-01 Here, LogId is unique; For each RefId, there are multiple entries with timestamp. What I want to extract is LogId for each latest RefId. I tried solutions from this link:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/121387/sql-fetch-the-row-which-has-the-max-value-for-a-column. But, it returns multiple rows with same RefId. Can someone help me with this? Thanks Vamyip

    In C, I am writing a program which is taking in user input than comparing it to see which output it should use. I am finding it problomatic and was wondering if someone could give me a hand. Meaning, my results should look like: postgres=# select * from foo ; datetimes ------------------------ 2012-12-12 15:45:10+00 --This one gets the default time. 2012-12-12 12:12:12+00 2012-12-12 12:12:00+00 (4 rows) I'm not really sure how to do this in postgres 8.4, I can't find anything in the datetime section of the manual or the sections regarding column default values.

    I have a file with a bunch of number in columns. These numbers are separated by variable number of spaces. I want to skip the first line and get all the other lines and separte each number on the line. Finally, I want to write each number on Excel. I've been able to get the lines and write them on Excel but I can't separate each number (I'm getting the whole line as one string). Does any body know how to split a string that has a variable number of spaces? Here is my code. Depending whether the input is an iterable or not, the outcome of the method will be different. Not when I want to pass a non-iterable as iterable input, it is easy to do: I’ll just wrap it with a tuple. What do I do when I want to pass an iterable (a string for example) but want the function to take it as if it’s non-iterable? E.g. make that iter(str) fails.

    When I run this code: - (NSString *)description{ return [NSString stringWithFormat:@"(FROG idle:%i animating:%i rect:%@ position:%@ tongue:%@)", self.idleTime, self.animating, NSStringFromCGRect(self.rect), NSStringFromCGPoint(self.position), tongue ]; } I get the following output: (FROG idle:0 animating:0 rect:(null) position:{{1,2}{3,4}} tongue:{5,6}) This is wrong because it seems to be skipping the rect format string and placing everything displaced by one. So idle and animating are what I expect, then rect is skipped, but the result from NSStringFromCGRect(self.rect) is placed into position, then the result for position is pushed to tongue, then tongue is not displayed at all. I'm at a loss.

    Having trouble figuring out how to match a phrase string to a phrase in file stream. The file I'm dealing with contains random words such as: 3 little pigs built houses and 1 little pig went to the market etc. for many lines Using "little pig" as my pattern and matcher.find() I can locate 2 matches: "little pig" and "little pigs". However, I only want it to match "little pig". What can I do? I thought about using matcher.lookingAt() but I wouldn't know how to set a proper region when I can't rely on the file string phrases I'm matching being on separate lines.

    Hi all I am using sql server 2005 reporting service to generate report base on a database. There are two columns which are datetime type ColumnA and ColumnB. Only for one record, the result is very strange. For this record ColumnA=2010-04-23 08:00:00 ColumnB=2010-04-22 17:00:00 It would display kpi_r, it displayed kpi_y. I have checked the value of DateDiff(d,Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value) in the SSMS, the value is -1. Why does it display kpi_y? Does anyone meet this problem before? Best Regards,

How I can remove the time part from value.
