Socket php server not showing messages sent from android client

Hi I am a newbie in these kind of stuff but here's what i want to do. I am trying to implement a chat application in which users will send their queries from the website and as soon as the messages are sent by the website users.It will appear in the android mobile application of the site owner who will answer their queries .In short I wanna implement a live chat. Now right now I am just simply trying to send messages from android app to php server. But when I run my php script from dreamweaver in chrome the browser keeps on loading and doesn't shows any output when I send message from the client. Sometimes it happened that the php script showed some outputs which I have sent from the android(client).But i don't know when it works and when it does not. So I want to show those messages in the php script as soon as I send those messages from client and vice versa(did not implemented the vice versa for client but help will be appreciated). Hi, I have a favourite and un-favourite functionality in my application and I am using jQuery. This functionality works partially. The page gets loaded, and when I click the 'favourite' button(it is inside add_favourite_div element), it sends a XHR request and the post is set as favourite. Then a new div called "remove_favourite_div" replaces its place.Now when I click the remove favourite(which is part of remove_favourite_div), it sends a normal http request inside of xhr. Attaching functions to elements in a loop

I have the following HTML and JavaScript it works for the first set of elements when I have a '1' in the selector but when I replace the '1' with an 'i' it doesn't attach itself to any of the elements. Any ideas as to why this might not be working? I have an arraylist as an element of a class. When i enter: AAA as preName BBB as clubName c d e as Branches Then as a second element www as preName GGG as clubName a b as branches The result is coming like: AAA BBB c,d,e,a,b GGG www c,d,e,a,b Which means ArrayList part of the class is putting it on and on. I tried to use clear() method but caused problems. Any ideas.

Javascript Dropdownbox

I have a dropdownbox (percent), a input box(price) and a input box (total) When you select a percent from the dropdown, it multiplies the value of the selected dropdown times the price value and input the result in the total input box. This works well with one input box, but what I am trying to do is to use asp and when you select a percent from the drop down box, it will calcualate the rest of the total fields. Using only alphanumeric characters(a-z) inside toCharArray

Below you will find me using toCharArray in order to send a string to array. I then MOVE the value of the letter using a for statement... for(i = 0; i < letter.length; i++){ letter[i] += (shiftCode); System.out.print(letter[i]); } However, when I use shiftCode to move the value such as... a shifted by -1; I get a symbol @. Is there a way to send the string to shiftCode or tell shiftCode to ONLY use letters? I need it to see my text, like "aaron", and when I use the for statement iterate through a-z only and ignore all symbols and numbers. I THINK it is as simple as... letter=codeWord.toCharArray(a,z); But trying different forms of that and googling it didn't give me any results. Perhaps it has to do with regex or something? Why is str_replace not replacing this string?

weird space in IE - Any suggestions?

The below table is the only element inside a body tag - This displays fine in Firefox 3 as i expect it to be but it does not look good in IE7. There is a weird space just between the nested table and the row above. I was told there was a better way to do it, but not how, and that I am using too many if statements, and that it's prone to causing an error through url manipulation: Search.cfm will processes a search made from a search bar present on all pages, with one search input (titleName). Easiest way to submit data via PHP?

I'm new to PHP, and have spent 10 hours trying to figure this problem out. The goal is to take all data entered into this order form, and send it to my email via PHP. I have 2 questions: 1. I can get PHP to send data from a single menu item (example: Mexican Tortas), but how do I get PHP to send data from multiple items (example: Mexican Tortas, Fish Sandwich and Hamburger)? 2. How do I tell PHP to not send data from menu items that don't have the "How Many?" or "Customize It?" text fields filled out? If you could provide a super simple example (or a link to a learning resource) I would really appreciate it. Failed to Install Xdebug

've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. I've used both "zend_extention" and "zend_extention_ts" to specify the path of the xdebug dll. I ensured that my apache server restarted and used the latest change of my php.ini by executing "httpd -k restart". Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Start a Mapping or Process Flow from OWB Browser

Basically, we start a Mapping or Process Flow from Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) Design Client. But actually we can also start a Mapping or Process Flow from OWB Browser. This paper will introduce the Start Report first and then introduce how to start/rerun a Mapping or Process Flow from OWB Browser. Start Report Start Report is used to start an execution of a Mapping or Process Flow. So there are two kinds of Start Report: Mapping Start Report (See Figure 1) and Process Flow Start Report (See Figure 2). Start Report shows the Mapping or Process Flow identification properties, including latest deployment and latest execution, lists all execution parameters for the Mapping or Process Flow, which were specified by the latest deployment, and assigns parameter default values from the latest deployment specification. You can do a couple of things from Start Report: Sort execution parameters on name, category. Table 1 lists all parameters of a Mapping. Table 2 lists all parameters of a Process Flow. Change values of any input parameter where permitted. For some parameters, selection lists are provided. For example, Mapping’s parameter Audit Level has a selection list. Reset all parameter settings to their default values. Apply basic validation to parameter values before starting an execution. Start the Mapping or Process Flow, which means it is executed immediately. Navigate to Deployment Report for latest deployment details of the Mapping or Process Flow. Navigate to Execution Job Report for latest execution of current Mapping or Process Flow Link to on-link help Warehouse Report Page, Deployment Report, Execution Report, Execution Schedule Report and Execution Summary Report. Click on the Mapping Name or Process Flow Name to see its Execution Report. Select the Start link in the Available Reports tab for the given Mapping or Process Flow to display a Start Report for the Mapping or Process Flow. The execution parameters have the default deployment-time settings. Change any of the input parameter values as required. Click Start Execution button to execute the Mapping or Process Flow. If the execution of a Mapping or Process Flow is successful, you will see this message from the Start Report: Start Execution request successful. (See Figure 3) Figure 3 Execution Result You can also confirm the execution of the Mapping or Process Flow by referring to Execution Report of the current Mapping or Process Flow by clicking the link in the Available Reports tab for the given Mapping or Process Flow. One new record of execution job details is added to Execution Report of the Mapping or Process Flow which shows the details of the execution such as Start Time, Elapsed Time, Status, the number of records selected, inserted, updated, deleted etc.

HTML: Nesting DIVs problem

I am coding a form generator. So far, so good, then I decided to give it a real test. I made a form with some nested each holding a few controls. I will post the HTML at the end. If you load it into a browser, it renders, but is obviously wrong. I had previously tested using the W3C validator and things were fine, but that was for non nested. When I validate a form with nested I get errors: Error Line 13, Column 117: document type does not allow element "DIV" here …style="position: absolute; top:88px; left: 256px; width: 145px; height: 21px;"> So, how do I correct that? What do I do with nested FIELDSETs?
