I receive POST request at my PHP script and would like to forward this post call to another script using POST too. How to do this? I can use cURL if it's required for this action.
I would like to do the following in php :
setcookie('name', $value, $Cookie_Expiration,'/');
then some action
header("location:http://www.example.com")
the problem is that I get :
warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (...etc )
could you please let me know what i am doing wrong and if there is a way to do this?
by the way , this code is before any output is made ...the cookie setting part works fine on its own and so does the redirection code....the combination fails
thank you

NOT all my recent tweets, but the tweets of the people I follow. I'm hoping this can be done with PHP, but I have no idea. Any help is appreciated, and please, talk to me like I'm a noob - be thorough lol.

Is it possible to assign php array in MySQL IN() function? for example,
$numbers = array('8001254656','8886953265','88864357445','80021536245');
$sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `number_table` WHERE `number` IN ($numbers)");
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
I have a table defined like this:
create table users (
id int(10),
age int(3),
name varchar (50)
)
I want to use a query to update just age, which is an integer, that comes from an html form.
When it arrives to the method that updates it, it comes as a string, so I change it to integer with PHP and try to update the table, but it doesn't work
$age = intval($age);
$q2 = "UPDATE users SET age='$age' where username like '$username';";
mysql_query($q2,$con);
Can't I set session and cookie in same PHP file?
I get an error message if I set the cookie after I've set session telling me that the header is already sent.
If I set session after cookie I get nothing but it seems not to work well.
Is there a way to PHP make asynchronous http calls? I don't care about the response, I just want to do something like file_get_contents(), but not wait on the request to finish before executing the rest of my code. This would be super useful for setting off "events" of a sort in my application, or triggering long processes.
Any ideas?
Hi, I am wondering if anyone has used or read about PHP scripts compiled as a .so extension for Apache... Thing is I think I remember reading about it somewhere but dont know if such a thing exists.
This looks promising, but incomplete and abandoned: http://phpcompiler.org/
Im interested because i think it could improve performance... Perhaps someone could point out a framework or apache extension that does this.
Thanks!!
silly php question...
why cant i do this?
echo Auth::getFullUser()[ 'country' ];
instead you have to do this
$user = Auth::getFullUser();
echo $user[ 'country' ];
I wrote three methods in a class and one is calling another, but when I call the function outside through the object, it is showing an undefined function error for the second function.
Here's my code:
function resize_image(){
}
function image_resize(){
$a = resize_image();
}
When I run this, it shows resize_image() as undefined. Here's the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function resize_image() in
/home/vacayge/public_html/Major/Alpha1/classes/cUserImages.php on line

I have a daemon (written in C, but I assume it does not really matter) which outputs messages with printf, and can get input and do stuff with this input (again, not really important what, but he sends those messages to a different machine to be saved there in the DB).
My question, how can I make this daemon to be a stream in PHP, so I can hook the input/output of, for example, file_put_contents to this stream.
Hi there,
Using Php I would like to extract the current Url of a page including all variables attached to it.
$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] only return the url without the variable . any idea what function I need.
example : www.site.com/?v1=xyz&v2=123
using $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] I get only : www.site.com as opposed to the whole url.
using $_GET[] individually is not an opton since I am not sure what variable are attached to the URL.
thank you
Hi everyone,
Will there be any measurable performance difference when passing data as values instead of as reference in PHP?
It seems like few people are aware of that variables can be passed as values instead of references. Is this common sense or not?
I am using the magic __call method in PHP. Sometimes the function I call is a number. For example the class name is example, then sometimes I want to call example::32
Is this possible or should I look at another alternative.
I want to be able to redirect all requests to navigate to an image to a php script which will then show the image but with a nav bar at the top. However using rewrite (im using IIS btw) means that I can't embed those images.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to hide a form from my users until they click a link and then the form drops down for the user to fill out, by using PHP or JQuery if so how? Is there a tutorial that will teach me how to do this?
I have a PHP script that I don't want anyone to be able to run through their browser.
It sends emails and is called via curl by my server's cron, yet needs to be in the public www directory. What permissions or owner do I need to set the file to to allow only my server's curl to execute (or do I mean read) the file?
I'm on centos.
Thanks!
