• C# Enterprise Block Application Settings and Settings.Settings designer

  I am working with v4 of the Enterprise Application block and I am trying to learn how to access the Application Settings that I have added using the Enterprise Library Configuration tool. It's as if the code does not recognize the settings even though I can see them in the app.config. I DO have a Settings.Settings designer added and I CAN get to those settings the standard way even though the settings added in that designer do NOT show up in the app.config like they normally would if I am NOT using the Enterprise Block How do I access the App Settings that I added with the Enterprise Block?

  Hi all, I would like to implement a application which backs up all the internal datas like sms, mms, videos, audios, documents, call history stored in iPhone. But this seems to be not possible with api docs that the apple has released so far ... I have gone through the pdf of ENterprise distribution program and some of the links related to Enterprise Distribution Program, specifies about the Remote wipe and accessing of internal datas like Calendar, sms, mms ect .... But they didnt mention how to do it programmatically. Does Apple provide any special priviledges like extra api support to access the internal data in their Enterprise Distribution Program?. Is there any difference between Enterprise Distribution Program and Standard Distribution Program in the development point of view? And since in-house distribution does not require Apple approval, shall we use some other method which are not officially mentioned in apple docs, to access the internal stored data ..   I have a C# app that references another C# dll which in turn uses Enterprise Library. Because my app has no config xml file for setting the Enterprise Library settings, it is throwing an error, specifically: "The configuration section for Logging cannot be found in the configuration source." "Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging" I would rather not add an XML config file to my app to just turn off Enterprise Library. Is there a code way to do so in my the source for my app?   Hi all, I'm tasked with evaluating an "enterprise" platform for the next-gen version of a product. We're currently considering two "types" of platforms - RAD (workflow engine, integrated UI, small cores of "technology plugins" to the workflows, automatic persisting of state...) like SalesForce.com / Service-Now.com and "cloud based" (EC2 / AppEngine...). While I have a few ideas on where to start, I'd like your opinions - how would you evaluate platforms for an enterprise suite of products? What factors would you consider? How would you eliminate weak options quickly enough to be able to concentrate on the few strong ones? Also interesting is how would you compare enterprise RAD (proven technology, quick to develop - but tends to look "the same as the competition") to cloud-based technology (lots of "buzz", not that many competitors - easy to justify to management, but probably lacking (?) enterprise tools and experience). As said before - I have a few ideas, but would like to see some answers before I post mine so I wouldn't drive the discussion to a specific place. RB.

  Hello All, What I am trying to do is display a simple web page in my application (no javascript,cookies or any scripting and not trying to detect any events such as mouse click etc.). I am using the code below and right now all I get is empty screen .. I know that the application is accessing the internet (the data transfer arrow flashes in the top right corner) but not sure why its not rendering. • BlackBerry Horizontal Scrolling in TreeField or ListField

  I am working on an application that requires text larger than the viewable screen size in both a TreeField and a ListField. As you know, the TreeField and ListField callbacks support only graphics.drawText() methods, so I cannot add an instance of a Field per row. Does anyone have a method of Scrolling horizontally past the viewable text size? Is there maybe a scrollable panel that would work? I know of the NullField(Field.Focusable) trick but this won't work on the list field. Lastly, I am aware that the type of screen makes a different as FullScreen and MainScreen use VerticalFieldMangers. So am using a PopupScreen at the moment for my testing. • Blackberry horizontal scroll in bottom menu bar

  Hi, I have a MainScreen that has an overlay menu at the bottom of the screen, over a map. To do that, I have an MenuHoster (extends HorizontalFieldManager) that takes all width of the screen, 45px height and at the bottom of the screen. It overlays a map. In my MenuHoster, and add another HorizontalFieldManager that has a background image (my menu bar image) and focusable buttons. I have too many buttons to be all in my screen, so I want to an horizontal screen. When I create my second HorizontalFieldManager that hosts the buttons, I define the Manager.HORIZONTAL_SCROLL as style. My buttons are focusable, but nothing happens... The focus change to the next buttons but my HorizontalFieldManager does not scroll... I tried putting the same parameter in my MenuHoster HorizontalFieldManager, the scroll is working but all my screen goes right or left, and I want only the content of my menu bar... So there is my map and my menu going left, my buttons at the bottom and the rest of the screen white. Any idea why my second HorizontalFieldManager hosting the buttons does not scoll? Thank you!
