• FluentNHibernate error -- "Invalid object name"

  I'm attempting to do the most simple of mappings with FluentNHibernate & Sql2005. Basically, I have a database table called "sv_Categories". I'd like to add a category, setting the ID automatically, and adding the userid and title supplied. Database table layout: CategoryID -- int -- not-null, primary key, auto-incrementing UserID -- uniqueidentifier -- not null Title -- varchar(50) -- not null Simple. I think it might be that I haven't told the CategoryMap class to use the "sv_Categories" table, but I'm not sure how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  Per this question I am using CodeIgniter and OAuth 2 in an attempt to provide SSO for internal users of my webapp, ideally verifying them against their Google Apps account. No registrations or anything, just existing users. Using the CI oauth2 spark I'm getting back from Google an OAuth token similar to below: OAuth2_Token_Access Object ( [access_token:protected] => dp83.AHSDj899sDHHD908DHFBDjidkd8989dDHhjjd [expires:protected] => 1349816820 [refresh_token:protected] => [uid:protected] => ) And using that token I can retrieve some user info from Google: [uid] => 3849450385394595 [nickname] => this_guy [name] => This Guy [first_name] => This [last_name] => Guy [email] => [email protected] [location] => [image] => [description] => [urls] => Array ( ) Now to allow the 15 people or so who will be using the webapp currently to log in, do I need to create a users table in the mysql database with their email address as a key? Then compare the email which just came back from the Google OAuth request and see if it exists in my users table? What about the Google access_token, do I store that now along with the email which already existed in the users table? Related: How would I go about verifying the user automatically in the future against that access_token so they don't have to go through the whole OAuth approval process with Google again?

  I have a string. That string is a html code and it serves as a teaser for the blog posts I am creating. The whole html code (teaser) is stored in a field in the database. My goal: I'd like to make that when a user (facebook like social button) likes certain blog post, right data is displayed on his news feeds. In order to do that I need to extract from the teaser in the first occurrence of an image an image path inside src="i-m-a-g-e--p-a-t-h". I succeeded when a user puts only one image in teaser, but if he accidentally puts two images or more the whole thing craches. Furthermore, for description field I need to extract text inside the first occurrence inside <p> tag. The problem is also that a user can put an image inside the first tag. I would very much appreciate if an expert could help me resolve this what's been bugging me for days. • CRM 2011 - Set/Retrieve work hours programmatically

  I am attempting to retrieve a resources work hours to perform some logic I require. I understand that the CRM scheduling engine is a little clunky around such things, but I assumed that I would be able to find out how the working hours were stored in the DB eventually... So a resource has associated calendars and those calendars have associated calendar rules and inner calendars etc. It is possible to look at the start/end and frequency of aforementioned calendar rules and query their codes to work out whether a resource is 'working' during a given period. However, I have not been able to find the actual working hours, the 9-5 shall we say in any field in the DB. I even tried some SQL profiling while I was creating a new schedule for a resource via the UI, but the results don't show any work hours passing to SQL. • Can someone recommend a good tutorial on MySQL indexes, specifically when used in an order by clause

  I could try to post and explain the exact query I'm trying to run, but I'm going by the old adage of, "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll eat for the rest of his life." SQL optimization seems to be very query-specific, and even if you could solve this one particular query for me, I'm going to have to write many more queries in the future, and I'd like to be educated on how indexes work in general. Still, here's a quick description of my current problem. I have a query that joins three tables and runs in 0.2 seconds flat. Awesome. I add an "order by" clause and it runs in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Sucky. I denormalize one table so there is one fewer join, add indexes everywhere, and now the query runs in... 20 minutes. What the hell? Finally, I don't use a join at all, but rather a subquery with "where id in (...) order by" and now it runs in 1.5 seconds. Pretty decent. What in God's name is going on? I feel like if I actually understood what indexes were doing I could write some really good SQL. Anybody know some good tutorials? Thanks!

• How to configure an index.htm file in IIS?

  I am running IIS 6.0 on an XP OS using VS 2008 and SQL Server 2008 (Full install). I developed two web apps. Both of these I can run from IIS by setting them to the default website. However, now I tried adding an index.htm file. Real simple; all it has is two hyperlinks to these web apps. But now only the first web app works. The first web app is pure VS. The second web app modifies an Adventureworks database table. But now when I click the hyperlink for the second web app, it gives me the error below. However this error doesn't make sense to me cause I have the two web apps configured as two virtual directories beneath C:\inetpub\ and the index.htm file is also beneath C:\inetpub. And the default website is set to home directory C:\inetpub\ with Document index.htm on top. Also, why does the first web app work and not the second now? Server Error in '/AddFileToSQL' Application.   Is there any good way to display rtl based languages (in this case Hebrew) in facbook? As soon as I include a page in rtl formating facebook it gives displays it ltr and usually aligned right. What definetly works is when I use dir="rtl" in the code. But then the fbml tag come out the other way round. And when I try to publish a stream it is not displayed correctly. Is there any support for rtl in facebook? • Freetype2 (error-)return value documentation

  In short, I'm looking for documentation that would limit the error situations to check for after a Freetype library function failed, much like the OpenGL and Win32 APIs document the error codes generated by their respective functions. I can't seem to find such documentation though, so I was wondering how to best handle translation of Freetype errors to typed exceptions. Background: I am currently in the process of implementing font-rendering capability (using Freetype) for my GUI framework, which makes strong use of typed exceptions to indicate error situations. However, the Freetype docs seem to completely omit what errors can be expected from what functions. That, if such documentation does indeed not exist, would basically leave me with two options: either guessing which errors make sense for a certain Freetype function (obviously prone to mistakes on my part), or considering every error code for translation into appropriate exceptions (less verbose since I would have to write the translation only once). Performance isn't really critical in the code that calls the Freetype library, so even the latter option would probably be acceptable, but surely there must be some kind of documentation on which library calls may return what Freetype error? Is there any such documentation which I just somehow managed to not find? Should I go the route of generically expecting every error code for translation? Or are there other ways to approach this problem? By the way, I wanted to avoid introducing some kind of generic FreetypeException (containing a description of the Freetype error) since I intended to completely hide what libraries I'm using (not from a legal point-of-view, mind you), but I guess I can be convinced to do this anyway if the consensus is that it would be the best option. I don't think it matters for this question, but I'm writing in C++.

• cellForRowAtIndexPath not called for all sections

  I have a UITableView that has five sections. Just as the title describes cellForRowAtIndexPath is only being called for the first four. All connections have been made concerning the datasource and delegate. Also, my numberOfSectionsInTableView clearly returns 5. Printing out the number of sections from within cellForRowAtIndexPath shows the correct number, thus confirming that cellForRowAtIndexPath is simply not being called for all sections. What on earth is going on? I looked pretty hard for an answer to this question but could't find one. If this has already been answered please forgive me and point me in the correct direction. • NHibernate class referencing discriminator based subclass

  I have a generic class Lookup which contains code/value properties. The table PK is category/code. There are subclasses for each category of lookup, and I've set the discriminator column in the base class and its value in the subclass. Here's the problem. When a class has a property of type MaritalStatus, I create a reference based on the contained code ID column ("MARITAL_STATUS_CODE_ID"). NHibernate doesn't like it because I didn't map both primary key columns (Category ID & Code ID). But with the Reference being of type MaritalStatus, NHibernate should already know what the value of the category ID is going to be, because of the discriminator value. What am I missing?

• Organising files and classes in XCode (iPhone application)

  It's a generic question and really a newbie one too, so bear with me... I'm playing with some iPhone development, and trying to create a simple "flip type" application. Nothing sophisticated, let's say on the flip side is a short application summary, bit like 'help' and on the main screen is a simple board game, let's say tic-tac-toe or similar. Now, XCode has generated me 'Main View', 'Flipside View' and 'Application Delegate' folders, with default template files in them. Now the question is where do I create appropriate 'MVC' classes? Let's say (V)iew classes are going to be the ones that have been automatically created. So the Flipside view class is responsible for generating text/images etc on the 'help' view. 'Main View' class is what draws the items on the table and updates the counters, etc. Where should I place the 'controller' class? And also, should it only be dealing with proxying only to the model? According to this the controller method is called from the view and manipulates the method classes. Similarly, the results from model are passed back to the view class by the controller issuing the calls to appropriate view methods. Similarly, where does the model class go? or should I just create a new folder for each, controller and model class files? What I'm after is the best practices, or just a short description how people normally structure their applications. I know it's very specific and also undefined... I came from Django background, so the way stuff is organised there is slightly different. Hope this makes sense, sorry if it's all bit vague, but I have to start somewhere :) And yes I've read quite few docs on the apple developer site, but trouble is that the documents are either going into too much detail about the language/framework/etc and the examples are way too simplistic. Actually, this leads me to the final question, has anyone know any good example of relatively complete application tutorial which I could use as a reference in organising my files?...

• Convert Virtual Key Code to unicode string

  I have some code I've been using to get the current keyboard layout and convert a virtual key code into a string. This works great in most situations, but I'm having trouble with some specific cases. The one that brought this to light is the accent key next to the backspace key on german QWERTZ keyboards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:KB_Germany.svg That key generates the VK code I'd expect kVK_ANSI_Equal but when using a QWERTZ keyboard layout I get no description back. Its ending up as a dead key because its supposed to be composed with another key. Is there any way to catch these cases and do the proper conversion? My current code is below. • Optimization of SQL query regarding pair comparisons

  Hi, I'm working on a pair comparison site where a user loads a list of films and grades from another site. My site then picks two random movies and matches them against each other, the user selects the better of the two and a new pair is loaded. This gives a complete list of movies ordered by whichever is best. The database contains three tables; fm_film_data - this contains all imported movies fm_film_data(id int(11), imdb_id varchar(10), tmdb_id varchar(10), title varchar(255), original_title varchar(255), year year(4), director text, description text, poster_url varchar(255)) fm_films - this contains all information related to a user, what movies the user has seen, what grades the user has given, as well as information about each film's wins/losses for that user. fm_films(id int(11), user_id int(11), film_id int(11), grade int(11), wins int(11), losses int(11)) fm_log - this contains records of every duel that has occurred. fm_log(id int(11), user_id int(11), winner int(11), loser int(11)) To pick a pair to show the user, I've created a mySQL query that checks the log and picks a pair at random.
