• How Can I Reference Multiple Primary Keys For A Vector Type Primary Key

  Hi, I have the following scenario: a table of projects and a table of persons, working on one or serveral projects. Also, I have a project id column (of type int), in the first table, which is a primary key there and I have a vector of project ids, as a column of type int, in my second table (persons), that references primary keys from the first table. What is the correct syntax for referencing multiple primary keys, from a vector foreign key. This is the way I am trying to create the table, but I am not sure what to place at the indicated line: CREATE TABLE Persons( Person_Id int, ..., ProjectsList int[], FOREIGN KEY (ProjectsList) REFERENCES Projects(Project_id) -- not sure what how to define the link here ); I hope my explanations are not over-complicated. The actual file name is stored in an NSUserDefault called recentDownload. When I build this, I click the button which this is under, and my application crashes. Is there anything wrong with the syntax or just simple error?

• How can I emulate Vim's * search in GNU Emacs?

  In Vim the * key in normal mode searches for the word under the cursor. In GNU Emacs the closest native equivalent would be: C-s C-w But that isn't quite the same. It opens up the incremental search mini buffer and copies from the cursor in the current buffer to the end of the word. In Vim you'd search for the whole word, even if you are in the middle of the word when you press *. I've cooked up a bit of elisp to do something similar: (defun find-word-under-cursor (arg) (interactive "p") (if (looking-at "\\<") () (re-search-backward "\\<" (point-min))) (isearch-forward)) That trots backwards to the start of the word before firing up isearch. I've bound it to C-+, which is easy to type on my keyboard and similar to *, so when I type C-+ C-w it copies from the start of the word to the search mini-buffer. However, this still isn't perfect. Ideally it would regexp search for "\<" word "\>" to not show partial matches (searching for the word "bar" shouldn't match "foobar", just "bar" on its own). I tried using search-forward-regexp and concat'ing \ but this doesn't wrap in the file, doesn't highlight matches and is generally pretty lame. An isearch-* function seems the best bet, but these don't behave well when scripted. Any ideas? Can anyone offer any improvements to the bit of elisp? Or is there some other way that I've overlooked?

• validates_uniqueness_of...limiting scope - How do I restrict someone from creating a certain number

  I have the following code: class Like < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :site validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id] end Which limits a person from "liking" a site more than one time based on a remote ip request. Essentially when someone "likes" a site, a record is created in the Likes table and I use a hidden field to request and pass their ip address to the :ip_address column in the like table. With the above code I am limiting the user to one "like" per their ip address. I would like to limit this to a certain number for instance 10. My initial thought was do something like this: validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id, :limit => 10] But that doesn't seem to work. Is there a simple syntax here that will allow me to do such a thing?

This is what I am talking about: #include<stdio.h> void hello() { printf("hello"); } int main(void) { (*****hello)(); } From a comment over here: function pointers dereference just fine, but the resulting function designator will be immediately converted back to a function pointer And from an answer here: Dereferencing (in way you think) a function's pointer means: accessing a CODE memory as it would be a DATA memory. Function pointer isn't suppose to be dereferenced in that way. Instead, it is called. I would use a name "dereference" side by side with "call". It's OK. Anyway: C is designed in such a way that both function name identifier as well as variable holding function's pointer mean the same: address to CODE memory. And it allows to jump to that memory by using call () syntax either on an identifier or variable. How exactly does dereferencing of a function pointer work?

  I am trying to declare a private Data Structure such as the Vector in my C++ header file which I want to eventually use within the method implementation of my .cpp. An example would be my header "SomeClass.h" where I have: class SomeClass { private: Vector<T> myVector; public: void AddTtoMyVector(T add); } And in my .cpp which is "SomeClass.cpp", I have the following: #include "SomeClass.h" SomeClass::AddTtoMyVector(T add) { myVector.Push_back(add); } Would the syntax here work? Or is there a different way of declaring and populating such structures?

• View a SYS.XMLTYPE returned from an Oracle function, using PL/SQL

  I have an Oracle function that dynamically creates an XML document, and returns it in a SYS.XMLTYPE value. I want to run a query from SQL Developer that calls that function and prints the document (either via a select, or dbms_output - I don't care). But all the examples/documentation seem to refer to querying XML columns in tables, and I can't seem to get the syntax right for my particular usage. I'd like something like this: declare x SYS.XMLTYPE; begin x := my_package.my_function(); select x.getclobval() from x; -- doesn't work! end; How can I print out the value of the XML type variable 'x' in the above code?

• C inline assembly of x96 fbstp instruction

  Was wondering how to inline a usage of fbstp on a 32 bit I86 architecture. I tried something like int main( ) { double foo = 100.0; long bar = 0; asm( "pushl %1; fbstp %0" : "=m"(bar) : "r"(foo) ); ... But bar is unchanged. I have tried reading everything I can find on this but most example simply do things like add two integers together. I can’t find any that talk about pushing operands onto the stack and what I should be doing when an instruction like fbstp writes 80 bits of data back to memory ( i.e. what C type to use ) and how to specify it in the asm syntax. Also on x86-64 there seems to be a pushq and no pushl but fbstp still exists whereas fbstq does not. Is there some other magic for 64 bit.

• Clean install of IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003 ignoring 'web.config'?

  Hi, Any help with this would be really appreciated! As the title suggests, I'm running a brand new install of Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 and I'm basically attempting to mirror a live web server onto a new internal development server, which runs the same setup. It's an ASP.NET site that relies heavily on URL rewriting (using Intelligencia). ASP.NET is set to run on v2.0.50727 on both servers. I've tried intentionally introduce syntax errors into the web.config and it just appears to be ignoring them completely, so given IIS 6 doesn't read the web.config, the rest of the site doesn't work at all (I get a 404 error, as a 'Default.aspx' doesn't exist since the web.config handles the default page rewriting). Having looked at the Application Mapping, '.config' files are set to use the default 'c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll' which exists. Is there anything else I may be missing? Thanks in advance.

But the editor should support some standard functionality such as syntax highlighting, auto completion and maybe search & replace. I've searched for Java components but didn't find a good solution which matches my requirements. Anybody knows a good component? It doesn't matter in which language it is written but I prefer Java.

  I have a crystal report where it shows the Agent's activities throughout the day with a pie chart. In the details section it is displaying: Activity [string] StartedAt [DateTime] EndedAt [DateTime] Duration [The difference between EndedAt and StartedAt in seconds - Integer] Report data is GroupedBy Activity and summarized by Duration. Currently Duration is shown in seconds but I need to format it 02h:30m:22s:15ms. For that I wrote a custom function in Crystal Report in the Formula Workshop editor as follows, but it looks like the syntax is not right (Error message on keyword Long: "A variable type (for example, 'String') is missing."). Can someone help? So I need from a scripting engine: Maximum Java interoperability (i.e. Spring framework) Script reloading and recompiling Easy DB access from scripting language Clear and simple syntax (some DSL capabilities would be nice to have), easy learning curve for non-hardcore developers Performance and stability I had some experience in the similar project with Rhino and it was pretty good. But I want to see if there is something better. Currently I'm looking into Groovy. JRuby and Jython are a bit more complex than I need for this task. Any other suggestion? • Android - overlay small check icon over specific image in gridview or change border

  I've just asked a question about an hour ago, while waiting for replies, I've thought maybe I can achieve what I want differently. I was thinking of changing the image but it would be better if I could perhaps overlay something over the top of complete levels in the gridview i.e a small tick icon At the moment, when a level has been completed I am storing that with sharedpreferences So I have a gridView layout to display images that represent levels. Let's just say for this example I have 20 levels. When one level is complete is it possible to overlay the tick icon or somehow highlight the level image. Maybe change the border of the image?? Here are the image arrays I use int[] imageIDs = { R.drawable.one, R.drawable.two, R.drawable.three, R.drawable.four, R.drawable.five, R.drawable.six etc....... and then I have my code to set the images in gridView. The zero part is working, but I can't figure out the syntax for rows that have an index greater than 0. For the tr[0] row, I'm doing this: if($("#mytable > tbody > tr ").index(0)) { ... I tried: if($("#mytable > tbody > tr ").index() > 0 ) { But, that didn't work?

• Which text margin does SWT Table use when drawing text?

  I got a relatively easy question - but I cannot find anything anywhere to answer it. I use a simple SWT table widget in my application that displays only text in the cells. I got an incremental search feature and want to highlight text snippets in all cells if they match. So when typing "a", all "a"s should be highlighted. To get this, I add an SWT.EraseItem listener to interfere with the background drawing. If the current cell's text contains the search string, I find the positions and calculate relative x-coordinates within the text using event.gc.stringExtent - easy. With that I just draw rectangles "behind" the occurrences. Now, there's a flaw in this. The table does not draw the text without a margin, so my x coordinate does not really match - it is slightly off by a few pixels! But how many?? Where do I retrieve the cell's text margins that table's own drawing will use? No clue. Cannot find anything. :-( Bonus question: the table's draw method also shortens text and adds "..." if it does not fit into the cell. Hmm. My occurrence finder takes the TableItem's text and thus also tries to mark occurrences that are actually not visible because they are consumed by the "...". How do I get the shortened text and not the "real" text within the EraseItem draw handler? Thanks!

  I am very confused I have this lamba expression tvPatientPrecriptionsEntities.Sort((p1, p2) => p1.MedicationStartDate.Value.CompareTo(p2.MedicationStartDate.Value)); Visual studio will not compile it and complains about syntax. I converted the lamba expression to an anonymous delegate as so tvPatientPrecriptionsEntities.Sort( delegate(PatientPrecriptionsEntity p1, PatientPrecriptionsEntity p2) { return p1.MedicationStartDate.Value.CompareTo(p2.MedicationStartDate.Value); } ); and it works fine. The project is uses the .net 3.5 framework and I have a reference to system.linq.

  I'm not sure if 'architecture' is the correct term, but I've been looking for some articles online which talk about programming design and more about how best to use languages such as JavaScript in a code design sense rather than the actual syntax itself. I have found many websites but a lot seem to be very out dated, and I'm not sure what developments have taken place with JavaScript over the years so do not know how old is too old. If anybody could suggest some great websites, or maybe specific articles you think would be useful, that would be highly appreciated. I am a beginner programmer currently using JavaScript with XML and of course HTML & CSS, and I'm currently trying to get further into and learn more about web development.

  I am trying to compile a library originally written for Cocoa. Things are good until it looks for the function marg_setValue(). It says there is a syntax error before char in marg_setValue(argumentList,argumentOffset,char,(char)lua_toboolean(state,luaArgument)); (it's talking about the third argument, not (char) ) I am trying to port LuaObjectiveCBridge to the iPhone. It has two choices, either using Runtime or Foundation. I have discovered there are some problems with foundation so I am trying runtime. But the compiler is not co-operating.

  I have 4 serailized arrays that I want to pass to php for processing. What is the best way to combine them into a single array example: serial_1 = $('#col1').sortable('serialize'); serial_2 = $('#col2').sortable('serialize'); serial_3 = $('#col3').sortable('serialize'); serial_4 = $('#col4').sortable('serialize');` each serialized array relates to a column/section of the page (col1,col2 etc.) What I need to do/would like to do is create a single array that puts the serialized array inside another array for a single post. example: var new_array = serilaize(col_1(serial_1),col2(serial_2),col3,(serial_3),col4(serial_4)) I KNOW THAT IS NOT RIGHT as I have no idea in JQuery how to right the correct syntax. • Accessing form's resources (resx file) from code

  If I have a form Frm1.cs that is using some icons, images or other resources, these resources get stored in the form's resx file (Frm1.resx). My simple question is how do I access these resources from code? As a workaround I can store these resources in the Project resource file and they will be available via Properties.Resources.resourcename. However, similar syntax does not work for the resources stored in the form's resource file. While searching for a solution I have come across several references to ResourceManager class but was not able to find a way to use that to access the form's resources...

• Cannot position Google +1 button with CSS?

  I'm having some trouble positioning the Google +1 button on my website. The div is as follows: <div class="g-plusone"></div> The CSS I'm using is pretty simple: .g-plusone { position: absolute; top:95px; left:715px; } I know for a fact that the div in question is being accessed. What's strange is that other social sharing buttons, such as the FB like below follow the same syntax and are positioned perfectly. .fb-like { position: absolute; top:62px; left:715px; } Any ideas?

  I've read about it from the php website (http://us3.php.net/manual/en/language.basic-syntax.phpmode.php) Using: echo "<html tag>" is slower and also annoying because you got to escape char like " with \" But what's about using $output = <<< EOF <html code> EOF; Then later on in the code I can use $output .= <<< EOF <some more html code> EOF; then when I want to print it: echo "$output"; I think it's a great idea, but really wonder what you PHP guru think about it. • jQuery removing elements from DOM put still reporting as present

  Hi, I have an address finder system whereby a user enters a postcode, if postcode is validated then an address list is returned and displayed, they then select an address line, the list dissappears and then the address line is split further into some form inputs. The issue i am facing is when they have been through the above process then cleared the postcode form field, hit the find address button and the address list re-appears. Event though the list and parent tr have been removed from the DOM it is still reporting it is present as length 1?
