  • How to save preferences to somewhere other than SharedPreferences

    - by Adrian
My application is used on multiple platforms so it saves it preferences to a file (rather than to the standard Android SharedPreferences). Is there any easy of reusing the PreferenceActivity to save preferences to a file or is it a case of creating a whole new activity to do the job? If the latter is the case is there a layout I can use that will make the activity look like the normal preferences screen? PreferenceActivity uses com.android.internal.R.layout.preference_list_content but this doesn't appear to be available to apps for reuse.

  • Deploying Asp.Net MVC 2 /C# 4.0 application on IIS 6

    - by Mose
Hi, I got a problem migrating from VS.Net 2008 / MVC 1 to VS.NET 2010 (+C# 4.0) / MVC 2 The web.config has been updated, the site runs well in Cassini, but my problem now is deploying on IIS 6. I updated the web site to run using ASP.Net 4, but whatever URL I try, I always have a 404 error. It's as if the routing was not taken into account (yes, the wildcard mapping has been done). I do not understand this mess and could not google anything interesting... Thanks for your suggestions ! O.

  • create text inside a rectangle using inkscape

    - by mr calendar
    I've put some text inside a rectangle using inkscape so the tree is like <svg:rect><svg:text><svg:tspan>text.... The problem is, I can't see the text. I've tried fiddling with the opacity of the rect to no avail. There should be a way of doing this from the UI? Edit example as requested <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!-- Created with Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/) --> <svg xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:cc="http://creativecommons.org/ns#" xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" xmlns:svg="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:sodipodi="http://sodipodi.sourceforge.net/DTD/sodipodi-0.dtd" xmlns:inkscape="http://www.inkscape.org/namespaces/inkscape" width="184.25197" height="262.20471" id="svg2" sodipodi:version="0.32" inkscape:version="0.46" version="1.0" sodipodi:docname="ex1.svg" inkscape:output_extension="org.inkscape.output.svg.inkscape"> <defs id="defs4"> <inkscape:perspective sodipodi:type="inkscape:persp3d" inkscape:vp_x="0 : 526.18109 : 1" inkscape:vp_y="0 : 1000 : 0" inkscape:vp_z="744.09448 : 526.18109 : 1" inkscape:persp3d-origin="372.04724 : 350.78739 : 1" id="perspective10" /> </defs> <sodipodi:namedview id="base" pagecolor="#ffffff" bordercolor="#666666" borderopacity="1.0" gridtolerance="10000" guidetolerance="10" objecttolerance="10" inkscape:pageopacity="0.0" inkscape:pageshadow="2" inkscape:zoom="0.64" inkscape:cx="195.9221" inkscape:cy="335.3072" inkscape:document-units="px" inkscape:current-layer="layer1" showgrid="false" inkscape:window-width="640" inkscape:window-height="675" inkscape:window-x="44" inkscape:window-y="44" /> <metadata id="metadata7"> <rdf:RDF> <cc:Work rdf:about=""> <dc:format>image/svg+xml</dc:format> <dc:type rdf:resource="http://purl.org/dc/dcmitype/StillImage" /> </cc:Work> </rdf:RDF> </metadata> <g inkscape:label="Layer 1" inkscape:groupmode="layer" id="layer1"> <rect style="opacity:0.25480766;fill:#ff0000;fill-opacity:1;stroke:#000000;stroke-width:12.94795799;stroke-miterlimit:4;stroke-dasharray:none;stroke-opacity:1" id="rect2383" width="150.87796" height="84.226181" x="18.221733" y="39.557121"> <text xml:space="preserve" style="font-size:56.0331955px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;fill:#000000;fill-opacity:1;stroke:none;stroke-width:1px;stroke-linecap:butt;stroke-linejoin:miter;stroke-opacity:1;font-family:Bitstream Vera Sans" x="44.815186" y="114.0088" id="text2385" transform="scale(1.0054479,0.9945816)"><tspan sodipodi:role="line" id="tspan2387" x="44.815186" y="114.0088">text</tspan></text> </rect> </g> </svg> I'd expect to be able to see this in inkscape. The workaround is to put text on a layer above the box (the intent is that the box obscures the layers below it) and not try and get clever with nested tags. Shame it doesn't work though.

  • XML::LibXML: How to write a xpath with qualified name?

    - by sid_com
    I've found this on http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=606909 looking by qualified name ... In this case you can call findnodes method on any node, you don't need the XML::LibXML::XPathContext with its prefix = namespace mapping: $doc-findnodes('///info/fooTransaction/transactionDetail/[name() = "histFile:transactionSummary"]/*'); In which way I have to edit my xpath to get my script working without XPathContext? #!/usr/bin/env perl use warnings; use strict; use 5.012; use XML::LibXML; my $parser = XML::LibXML->new; $parser->recover_silently( 1 ); my $doc = $parser->parse_file( 'http://www.heise.de/' ); my $xc = XML::LibXML::XPathContext->new( $doc->getDocumentElement ); $xc->registerNs( 'xmlns', 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml' ); my $nodes = $xc->findnodes( '//xmlns:h2/xmlns:a' ); for my $node ( $nodes->get_nodelist ) { say $_->getName, '=', $_->getValue for $node->attributes; }

  • Write Java Method Signature with Annotated paramaters with JDT

    - by Scott
Hi, I am writing an eclipse plug-in which generates code. I am leveraging eclipse jdt to gen out classes, fields, and methods. One of the requirements I have is to generate methods with annotated paramaters... public returnType foo(@someAnnotation int id) { ..... ..... } Does anybody know how to write out the @someAnnotation using JDT? To write out normal parameters in JDT you could do something like the following Signature.createTypeSignature("int", false)

  • fluent nhibernate m-to-m with column

    - by csetzkorn
Hi, I am used to hbm files and started using fluent nhibernate recently. Creating an m-to-m relationship between two entities A and B is quite simple In A I create: public virtual IList Bs { get; set; } and then I use: mapping.HasManyToMany(x = x.Bs); That’s it and I can do: A a = new A(); a.Bs.Add(b); My problem is that I would like to have an additional column in my dedicated m-to-m database table which holds the two foreign keys. What is the simplest way to achieve this in FNH? Would I have to create a dedicated entity for the m-to-m realtionship or is there a simpler solution? Thanks. Best wishes, Christian

  • AutoMapper with c# 2.0 syntax

    - by Morri
I'm trying to create a custom mapping with AutoMapper, but I can't use 3.0 syntax with lambdas. How would one convert this 3.0 code into 2.0 ? Mapper.CreateMap<MyClass, MyDto>() .ForMember(dest => dest.Name, opt => opt.MapFrom(src => src.CompanyName)) Edit: Since there was no better solution, we are now using vs2008 on one workstation to make these mappings and build a dll. I hope it won't be long until we upgrade to vs2010.

  • Flex PureMVC: Mediator not registering

    - by LazerWonder
A component is created at runtime and a mediator is created and registered. All is well. In a separate view, another instance of that component is created. The mediator is created but onRegister() isn't called the 2nd time. I don't know if this is normal... but if it is, how do I get it to call onRegister() the second time? Thanks. :)

  • How to I create an HQL query to return objects in a many to many relationship?

    - by Dave
Hi there. I have an application that includes 2 classes Club and Article. These are mapped in Hibernate as a many to many relationship. As a result, hibernate has created a table called CLUB_ARTICLE which it uses to manage the many to many relation ship. The CLUB and ARTILCE tables have no direct reference to each other and the mapping is only represented in the CLUB_ARTICLE table. I need to create an HQL query that returns a list of articles for a particlular club. So I need to supply the club id and get back a list of Article objects that belong to it. For some reason, I just can't work out how to do this. Any help would be very much appriciated! Thanks.

  • Ways to generate database full structure based on Fluent NHibernate mappings

    - by Mendy
I'm looking for ways to generate the application database full structure based on the NHibernate mapping data. The idea is to give the user an option to supply a database-connection string and then to build their a database with the structure that the application needs. The database need to independent - it means that it needs to work with any database that are supported by NHibernate. By full structure I mean that I want to generate also the index fields, and the relationship between tables. Is their few ways to accomplish this with NHibernate? Is so, what are they?

  • RegEx for MetaMap in Java

    - by Christian
MetaMap files have following lines: mappings([map(-1000,[ev(-1000,'C0018017','Objective','Goals',[objective],[inpr],[[[1,1],[1,1],0]],yes,no)])]). The format is explained as mappings( [map(negated overall score for this mapping, [ev(negated candidate score,'UMLS concept ID','UMLS concept','preferred name for concept - may or may not be different', [matched word or words lowercased that this candidate matches in the phrase - comma separated list], [semantic type(s) - comma separated list], [match map list - see below],candidate involved with head of phrase - yes or no, is this an overmatch - yes or no ) ] ) ] ). I want to run a RegEx query in java that gives me the Strings 'UMLS concept ID', semantic type and match map list. Is RegEx the right tool or what is the most efficent way to accomplish this in Java?

  • Asp.net 4.0 site fails because no handler mapped with Classic appPool

    - by AndyV
When I create a Asp.net app and flip the appPool to "ASP.NET v4.0 Classic" it fails with the following error: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. After some searching it seems to be the handler not mapping correctly for the Classic mode but I can't find out where or how to fix that. I have the full .Net 4.0 install with VS2010 and the app works fine if I flip the appPool to Integrated. Also, it's a Windows 7 machine (I'm having the same problem on a Vista box). Thanks in advance. Andy

  • Visual studio 2005 "Object Test Bench" popup when debugging

    - by DAC
When debugging a project in Visual Studio 2005, I have recently noticed a brief appearance of the "Object Test Bench" window. This window appears and then disappears after less than a second and does not look like the normal "Object Test Bench" window one sees when not debugging, as it looks like this: I would like to stop this window appearing and have tried the following: Closing all Object Bench Test windows when not debugging Resetting Visual Studio to default settings (devenv /ResetSettings) Any other ideas?

  • How to extract hhp file from a chm file

    - by Sam
Hi, I have an A.chm file for my windows application which runs as expected. When I decompile it using HTML workshop I get set of html files, .hhc file, .hhk file. When I compile another file B.chm from these extracted files without changing any of the files.((I want to add more html contents to this file but looks like I am losing some information after decompiling)) The output file I get is 72K where as the original file was 75K. B.chm's contents look all file when viewed in the chm viewer but the behavior is lost when when used with the application. After reading around I found that if .hhp can be extracted from a .chm file then it can be re-constructed as it is without losing any mapping or aliases. Is that true? How can I extract .hhp file from a .chm file? Thanks, Sam
