    Hi Everyone, i'm just a begginer in perl, and very urgently need to prepare a small script that takes top 3 things from an xml file and puts them in a new one.   • How to parse an XML string in TDI

    I am new to TDI. I have a TDI assembly line that calls a web service (ibmdi.InvokeSoapWS) which returns the result as a string in the work attribute 'xmlString'. I then have an AttributeMap that attempts to parse the xml and extract a value (the node it seeks is a few nodes deep). var parser = system.getParser('ibmdi.SOAP'); var xmlString = work.getString('xmlString'); var entity = parser.parseRequest(xmlString); task.dump(entity); The trouble is, the parsed object does not contain an accurate representation of the XML. It contains only two attributes, the first is correctly the first node following the soap body (e.g., ns0:SomeNodeReply), the second being a node inside the first (e.g., ns0:DetailCount). And as far as I can determine, both attributes are just strings so I cannot recurse into the object graph. The problem is: what is the right structure/design of this class considering that the count of the Xml element (RowInfo) is not constant?     I'd like to pre-store a bunch of function calls in a data structure and later evaluate/execute them from within another function. This works as planned for functions defined at namespace level with defn (even though the function definition comes after my creation of the data structure) but will not work with functions defined by let [name (fn or letfn inside the function.     I have a NSArrayController bound to a NSTableView. With this I have the typical Add/Remove buttons. While Adding an item is very straight forward (I call a method, create an object with default values and add it) I have problems deleting objects from the controller. I know I can do this the easy way when connecting the button with the remove action from the ArrayController. But this is not what I want. I need to remove the object manually because I have some additional code to process. Anway, removing objects seems far more complcated then I expected. It already tried: NSArray *items = [doToItemsArrayController selectedObjects]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectedObjects:items]; or NSIndexSet *iSet = [doToItemsArrayController selectionIndexes]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectionIndexes:iSet]; None of them seems to work. How do I remove the selected Object from an NSArrayController with Objective-C code?

  • Flex ChangeWatcher bind to a negative condition

    I have a bindable getter in a component which informs me when a [hidden] timer is running. I also have a context menu which, if this timer is running, should disable one of the menu items. Is it possible to create a ChangeWatcher which watches for the negative condition of a bindable property/getter and changes the enabled property of the menu item? Here are the basic methods I'm trying to bind together: Class A: [Bindable] public function get isPlaying():Boolean { return (_timer != null) ? _timer.running : false; } Class B: private var _playingWatcher:ChangeWatcher; public function createContextMenu():void { //...blah blah, creating context menu var newItem:ContextMenuItem = new ContextMenuItem(); _playingWatcher = BindingUtils.bindProperty(newItem, "enabled", _classA, "isPlaying"); } In the code above, I have the inverse case: when isPlaying() is true, the menu item is enabled; I want it to only be enabled when the condition is false. I could create a second getter (there are other bindings which rely on the current getter) to return the inverse condition, but that sounds ugly to me: [Bindable] public function get isNotPlaying():Boolean { return !isPlaying; } Is this possible, or is there another approach I'm completely missing?

  • [PHP] Using cURL to download large XML files

    I'm working with PHP and need to parse a number of fairly large XML files (50-75MB uncompressed). The issue, however, is that these XML files are stored remotely and will need to be downloaded before I can parse them. Having thought about the issue, I think using a system() call in PHP in order to initiate a cURL transfer is probably the best way to avoid timeouts and PHP memory limits. Has anyone done anything like this before? Specifically, what should I pass to cURL to download the remote file and ensure it's saved to a local folder of my choice?

    (Using Visual Studio 2008, and Silverlight 3) -I've really looked around for this one, and now I'm just confused by all the solutions that simply won't work for me. I'm trying to call a WCF service from a Silverlight client, which is no problem, but I can't get the service to handle sessions (I want to remember a few things about the callee between calls) I've gathered that basicHttpBinding is no good for sessions, and I haven't managed to make wsHttpBinding work... what's the matter? I would have thought this was a pretty basic thing people would want in their WCF services, or am I just completely muddle-headed not to see how it can be done?

  • Refreshing a JPA result list which is bound with a jTable

    First off, I hage to write this on my mobile. But I'll try to format it properly. In Netbeans I created a jTable and bound it's values to a JPA result set. This works great. The qery contains a param which i set in the pre-create box of the "query result" component. So just before netbeans creates the query result i write this: myQuery.setParameter("year", "1997"); This works fine. Now, I have an event handler which is supposed to change the param and display the new values in the table. So I do this: myQuery.setParameter("year", "2005"); myResultList.clear(); myResultList.addAll(myQuery.getResultList()); jTable1.updateUI(); This works, but it feels wrong to me. Note: the result set is bound to the table. So I was hoping there was something like this: myQuery.setParameter("year", "2005"); myResultList.refresh(); Is there something like this?

  • Changing the path a property is bound to at runtime

    Hi, I have a ComboBox with a list of objects bound to it. Currently i have the items templated so they show only the property Class.Name. so the ComboBox is full of Class.Name However i am required to give the user the option to display the property Class.Description instead. If it were just that easy i would be fine, but they want the option to switch back and forth between them at runtime. Any ideas?

  • How do I keep my DataService up to date with ObservableCollection?

    I have a class called CustomerService which simply reads a collection of customers from a file or creates one and passes it back to the Main Model View where it is turned into an ObservableCollection. What the best practice for making sure the items in the CustomerService and ObservableCollection are in sync. I'm guessing I could hookup the CustomerService object to respond to RaisePropertyChanged, but isn't this only for use with WPF controls?     Here is an example bit from the xml file: <array> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>Joe Smith</string> <key>Type</key> <string>Profile</string> <key>Role</key> <string>User</string> <key>Some Number</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Some Boolean</key> <true/> </dict> </array> I have two separate goals. The first is to extract an array from the dictnode that would look like: [Name] => Joe Smith [Type] => Profile [Role] => User [Some Number] => 1 [Some Boolean] => true It's not crucial that the boolean be included, so if that adds too much complexity, I'd rather just know how to deal with the others for now. The second goal is to be able to select the value node (<string>, <integer>,etc) so that I can change the value. I would need to select it based on the text value of the preceding key element. I think the following XPath should work: //key[.=$keyname]/following-sibling[1] But I'm not sure. Basically, this whole system that Apple uses seems logical, but totally contrary to the XML is supposed to work. If I ran the world, the original XML would look more like: <dict type="array"> <value key="Name" type="string">Joe Smith</value> <value key="Type" type="string">Profile</value> <value key="Role type="string">User</value> <value key="Some Number" type="integer">1</value> <value key="Some Boolean" type="boolean">true</value> </dict> But since it is fairly logical, I am wondering if I'm missing some obvious way of handling it.

I can connect to it and execute queries without issues, but for some reason, the "Output - JavaDB Database Process" pane within Netbeans keeps displaying Security manager installed using the Basic server security policy. Could not listen on port 1527 on host localhost: java.net.BindException: Address already in use How do I find out what process is already using, or bound to, that port number?

  • Detaching all entities of T to get fresh data

    Lets take an example where there are two type of entites loaded: Product and Category, Product.CategoryId - Category.Id. We have available CRUD operations on products (not Categories). If on another screen Categories are updated (or from another user in the network), we would like to be able to reload the Categories, while preserving the context we currently use, since we could be in the middle of editing data, and we do not want changes to be lost (and we cannot depend on saving, since we have incomplete data). Since there is no easy way to tell EF to get fresh data (added, removed and modified), we thought of twp possible ways: 1) Getting products attached to context, and categories detached from context. This would mean that we loose the ability to access Product.Category.Name, which we do sometimes require, so we would need to manually resolve it (example when printing data). 2) detaching / attaching all Categories from current context. Context.ChangeTracker.Entries().Where(x => x.Entity.GetType() == typeof(T)).ForEach(x => x.State = EntityState.Detached); And then reload the categories, which will get fresh data. Do you find any problem with this second approach? We understand that this will require all constraints to be put on foreign keys, and not navigation properties, since when detaching all Categories, Product.Category navigation properties would be reset to null also. Also, there could be a potential performance problem, which we did not test, since there could be couple of thousand products loaded, and all would need to resolve navigation property when reloading. Which of the two do you prefer, and is there a better way (EF6 + .NET 4.0)?

The purpose of this repeater is to create an index from A-Z, which, when clicked, refreshes the information on the page. I have no idea why, I have tried manually casting to String with (String), I've tried a ToString() method, I've tried everything. Also, if in the debugger I add a watch for DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"letter"), the value it returns is "A", which according to me, should be fine for the Text Property. EDIT: Here is the exception: System.InvalidCastException was unhandled by user code Message="Specified cast is not valid." The problem was not in the Text or CSS tags, but in the Enabled tag, I had to cast it to a Boolean value. The problem was that the exception was signaled at the Text tag, I don't know why
